Ca's Xorc Luxury Retreat - ADULTS ONLY

Unfortunately we booked a 4 night stay at this hotel to relax and recharge after our wedding in Mallorca.

We checked out after one night as the hotel was far from luxury (the first time we have ever checked out early of a hotel).

We booked a bungalow and found the bed was the most uncomfortable and noisy bed we had ever slept in, and not something you would associate with a luxury or boutique hotel.

 As other guests have commented, the rooms are more akin to a cheap Airbnb. We reported the noisy bed the following morning. The hotel manager was quick to check it out and confirmed that she herself would have complained. They changed the mattresses but weren’t able to change the bed frame which is where the noise was coming from. There weren’t any available rooms to move into until the following night, so without wanting to ruin the rest of our short honeymoon we checked out.

The hotel refunded two out of four nights booked but only because they were able to resell the room.

We found a number of other issues which all led to making the hotel feel more like a walker’s hotel in the mountains. The pool was very cold and full of leaves when we arrived. There was a self-service honesty bar by the pool. At breakfast there was a sewage pump vehicle pumping waste from the hotel. The cups and bottles of juice were all chipped. The air conditioning unit in the bungalow leaked and there was mould behind the bed frame. There was a beautiful outside kitchen at the bungalow which was not in use due to the fire risk, and the covered dining area was humming with wasps the entire time.

All in all it was a most disappointing experience, the hotel did absolutely nothing to make our honeymoon special and there was a distinct lack of warmth from the staff. We had an excellent meal in Deia on the first night, but you do need a car otherwise you would be subject to the hotel’s restaurant for the duration of your stay. The drive up and down to the hotel would get tiresome after a couple of trips out.

We would not recommend for a special occasion, nor would we recommend for a normal stay as it was vastly overpriced compared to other luxury or boutique hotels in Mallorca.

We actually were thinking about maybe celebrating our wedding in this venue. On a trip to Mallorca we then spontaneously went there for lunch. Everything took ages and service wasn’t very attentive. Food quality was ok though.
We were not allowed to look at the further hotel premises (e.g. the pool), apparently the hotel has a problem with too many visitors that just want to look at the pool and take pictures.
The vibe was just not great and the location on is nice but doesn’t really live up the expectations (also looking at the prices).
The location is so remote that we had to wait for a taxi for 1 hour (despite being told twice that it only takes 15 minutes).
Anyways, we were disappointed, of course will not celebrate our wedding there and also won’t visit again as hotel guest or restaurant guest
