I stayed at La Residencia during spring break and have truly never experienced a hotel like this — pure magic from start to finish. It’s not just the breathtaking location in the Tramuntana mountains, but the exceptional level of service that makes this hotel one-of-a-kind. From the moment I arrived, the hospitality and communication were flawless. Every single detail — from the food presentation to the thoughtful in-room touches — was impeccable. I want to personally thank David and Francisco, whose warmth, kindness, and professionalism made each day feel extra special. And a heartfelt thank you to General Manager Thomas, whose attentive leadership is felt throughout the entire property. The staff truly anticipates your every need. The spa was a serene sanctuary. I loved the sauna, and the overall ambiance was incredibly relaxing. The gym was well-equipped with everything needed for a proper workout — no shortcuts here. Food-wise, the breakfast was divine, and every bite I had throughout my stay was fresh and high quality. I didn’t get to try El Olivo this time, but it’s absolutely on my list for next time — and yes, there will be a next time. The hotel’s location is unbeatable, nestled between mountains and near the quaint town of Deià. Whether you’re strolling through the gardens, lounging by the pool, or sipping wine while overlooking the olive groves, you’ll feel like you’re living in a dream. La Residencia is, without a doubt, the BEST hotel I’ve ever stayed at — a true gem where luxury, warmth, and soul all coexist. Can’t wait to return!

Belmond La Residencia in Mallorca is nestled in the charming village of Deià, a refined and elegant retreat. If you are seeking peace, nature, and an authentic Mediterranean escape, this is truly the place. As a classic Belmond property, it offers a stay where elegance and a strong sense of locality are ever present. The staff are attentive and warm. The pool’s setting is particularly beautiful—surrounded by forests and mountains, it gives you the feeling of being immersed in nature. One of the distinctive touches is the presence of a resident local artist who regularly offers clay workshops, adding a unique cultural dimension to the experience.

It's really not worth tens of thousands per night for a vacation during the Easter period.
Service: I encountered a big mistake when checking in. The official website showed that it was sold out, so I switched to Ctrip to successfully book. When I checked in, I was notified that there were two orders under my name, and I had to pay the order on the official website; I was forced to stay in two rooms. After I refused to pay, I agreed to wait until the manager returned to the hotel on the next working day to deal with it, and let me check in first. However, at this time, I was deliberately asked to sign the order on the official website. Fortunately, I can speak English to avoid this pit.
Environment: I saw a lot of beautiful photos on the Internet. In fact, the park is relatively small, and there are not many projects that can be participated in. It can only be used as a hotel, and there is no feeling of vacation.
The sanitation is very good, and the entire park of the hotel is very clean.

The grounds and scenery at this hotel are quite spectacular. However our room was $2,500 a night and not exactly worth it. The bathroom sink wouldn’t drain and the shower didn’t have a complete door so a ton of water splatters onto the floor. My dad had a different room with low ceiling and no drawers to put his clothes. He’s 6’2 and kept hitting his head.

Pool area is very nice and relaxing so was the spa. For the price I feel I could stay somewhere else and get a nicer room. A bit disappointed because I stayed at Belmond in Sicily and rooms were great.

Really bad experience at La Residencia in August 2024. Not luxury and not customer oriented at all.

Called to make sure we could stop by for a drink at the bar without a reservation. We were told that we could come and that we could park on the hotel parking. When we arrived and rang at the parking door, we were told that we couldn’t park inside without a reservation and also that the bar was full and we couldn’t come. A staff member who I believe seemed to be the concierge or a manager arrived at that moment from outside and asked if he could help. As we explained our situation, he said that it was impossible that we had been told this on the phone (basically saying I’m a liar…). We were not even invited to come inside to visit the place or even try and see if there could be some spot just for a drink.

Let me add that we were perfectly dressed with a dress and my husband with a shirt and that we regularly visit palaces (just to say that we didn’t look like the most basic / not polite / not luxury clients).

We were extremely frustrated and disappointed. I work in customer experience in the luxury industry, so let me tell you that this was everything I qualify as horrible experience and the contrary of luxury service.

I highly recommend a lot of other places around where you will be received a lot better than at La Residencia.

I did not stay here, only stopped by for tea and drinks at noon. A simple cocktail was 34 euros, the menu is a bit misleading. It wasn’t super clear that a cocktail was that much and we realized the price when we got the bill. The scenery is pretty but only at one point. The other side is facing the parking lot. They did not let us look at the other restaurant and pool area since we’re not staying at the hotel. The staff could have been more courteous. I feel like once we paid our bill, they just wanted us to leave as soon as possible.

The Michelin restaurant in this hotel is so beautiful! The environment is great, the dishes are delicious, exquisite and delicious! The room is comfortable and the view is great. The most surprising thing is that the hotel prepared a birthday surprise for me, CAVE, chocolate cake and Spanish snacks, so touching! The service level of the staff is very high, especially the breakfast is really pleasant 😊
