Concepcio by Nobis, Palma, a Member of Design Hotels

PROS: Lovely staff and the hotel has a very good location. The rooms come in all sizes and are well planned. Breakfast is included and there are lots of options. Coffee is terrible though unless you order and pay.

CONS: The hotel says they have Byredo products but they are NOT. The use the Byredo bottles and refill it with something cheaper which I wouldn’t expect from a hotel of this category.
In addition the air con doesn’t work as a heater as well so bring something warm if you come late/early summer. If these two are addressed I would say a clear 4.5 star!

We stayed at Concepció 3 nights. The first 2 nights were lovely. It’s a beautiful boutique hotel. The layout of our first room was a bit unusual - there was a see through shower in the middle of the bedroom which was a bit unusual for friends travelling together. However, all round we had a nice experience. Our flight was then cancelled and we returned for a third night. This time was a different experience. We were asked for our passports at check in and they weren’t given back - luckily we noticed before we left. Then we realised we couldn’t charge anything in the room as none of the sockets were working. It was midnight and we had staff coming into the room testing all the sockets and trying to fix the problem. As they couldn’t, they moved us to a slightly nicer room however it was more just stressful to repack at this point and the upgrade was a bit irrelevant as there was no time to enjoy it. We were told by the staff who helped us that they would look to discount our room after all the disruption. The staff in the morning then said we made it up and there was nothing wrong with the sockets and we’re lucky to get an upgrade. Additionally, there was a lot of lounger ‘reserving’ and it was hard to get an order in for drink/food with staff being hard to find at times. So, we had a mixed experience, and can only give a mixed review.
