The hotel has a campaign for breakfast at the rate of 17e per adult. Comparing to the weekend breakfast & brunch price in average, this price is quite competitive. This is the reason why we decided to try it out as locals (not staying at the hotel). The breakfast selection is at the average level and I liked the mushroom taste quite much. The campaign is valid till the end of this month.

Nice and interesting since it’s an old jail. Situated a bit out on Katajanokka, tram just outside or a 10 min walk to downtown. Sauna is only on weekends. Breakfast was good but in the rather dark basement. Not so much nice lobby-areas. The charged price didn’t meet expectations, should be a 40EUR less per night according to the standard offered.

A one of the most amazing hotel experience! It’s made of old prison and result is wonderful! We had a superior room where we had a really nice and big bathroom. Room was decorated stylish and with high quality. The room had also books what was very nice detail. Hotel is great experience and lot to see. You can see a history of the building - there is two originals cells what you can go to see and also a photograph exhibition.
You can book a private sauna time and use a gym. Restaurant had very good food and breakfast was great!
We will go back, for sure!

A very unusual place, the hotel is located in the building of a former investigative prison. Despite this, everything is very clean and cozy))

Super place. Extraordinary design. Friendly staff. Very comfortable beds. Clean and nice in every corner. History intertwines with reality. Excellent breakfast and very convenient location. Walk to the center for 10 minutes through the quiet and beautiful streets of the north, incredibly beautiful architecture. I highly recommend this hotel. I am sure that everyone will be satisfied.

Unusual. It's nice that there are Russian-speaking staff. Unfortunately, we were not able to try the cuisine. If possible, I will stay here again to gain more impressions.

Stayed the night here in 2009 New Years eve, had the best time ever. Still reminisce over our stay here. Beautifull rooms, excellent (!) beds, delicious breakfast and the most kimd staff!
The New Years eve atmosphere with the wonderful singing choirs and beautiful lighting at the Helsinki town square sure added to the whole experience.
Sure hope to return here one day and would recommend to anyone looking for a once in a lifetime (if youre lucky several times) experience!

Great hotel for a staycation. Location is private enough for a cosy, romantic stay, but still easily accessible and close to all the action of central Helsinki. Rooms are great value for the very affordable price, especially if booking in advance and staying during the week. Staff are always super friendly.
