The rooms were gross, the bathroom smelled like sewer. The staff didnt take any effort to speak english to us non-french speaking visitors. The only plus: location close to the center.

We arrived by car and there is no free parking in the area. The guy on reception didn't speak any English and didn't want to try to help. I used google Maps and found a multi-story car park, but it was an additional £50 making this an expensive hotel.
Likes - close to the train station, shops, and restaurants
Mattress was well protected
Dislikes - The room smelled awful on first arrival, we had to open the window and air it out (toilet was clean)
No WiFi
Wasn't told breakfast was included (as reception didn't speak English - merely handed us a key)
No toiletries or soap in the room
TV subtitles didn't work
The shower is inside the toilet
You can hear when the room above flushes the toilet (you can hear it come down the pipes)
No smoke detectors
No information on the city or room
Toilet didn't flush properly
The room below played very loud music until another customer banged the door down to get them to stop.

An excellent hotel in the price range. The location is great, very close to the station. The hotel has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The room meets all my basic criteria: desk and chair, good shower, sink (with plug!), bedside table, hangers. Some parts of hotel, e.g. carpet, are showing signs of age but everything is very clean including the room. Breakfast is a French breakfast : baguettes, jams, cereal, fresh juice and coffee. The staff were great and friendly. Enjoyable stay.

Had a very pleasant stay. The room was clean with a lovely comfortable bed.
Despite the hotel being fully booked and it being a bank holiday it was incredibly peaceful. Total silence all night long.( We were on the 4th floor to the rear so that probably helped)
The bathroom although small was spotless. The shower was easy to use with plenty of hot water at any time of the day.
The breakfast was basic,(yoghurt, cereal bread plus hot drinks.) but it met my needs and was very good value.
All the staff were courteous, friendly and helpful.
It is true that the corridors are definitely in need of an update, other than that everything was great.

I was sleeping when the cleaning lady opened the door and came in the room. Unfortunately, there's no 'do not disturb' sign to put on the door handle. The room is really ugly with stains on the walls and small toilet. Do not recommend at all.

Quartier anim, right in the center, be careful to not lose it in the hotel, clean and not expensive.

Very good hotel, room very clean and very spacious no hygiene problem to report, despite all the room is very badly soundproofed, one hears all the neighbors next to, above, and you hear the floor creaking as well as elevators. There are also some bad odors in some of the floor and at the reception, but otherwise nothing to report it is a very good hotel very clean and very well.
