Disappointing Stay – Unacceptable Room Conditions Despite High Price
While the ibis Paris Coeur d'Orly Airport is conveniently located near the airport, it is absolutely unfit to accommodate travelers. I have stayed here multiple times for business trips, and each time I’ve encountered the same unacceptable issue: a persistent sewage-like odor in the rooms.
The first time, I had to request a room change due to the unbearable smell. On my most recent stay, on July 23, 2025, I tried to avoid the hassle by keeping the bathroom door shut, hoping the odor would stay contained. Unfortunately, I was woken up in the middle of the night by the stench and couldn’t sleep anymore. At 3 a.m., I finally asked to be moved to another room. The staff accommodated my request, but the smell was also present in the hallway on the second floor, suggesting a broader issue with the hotel’s plumbing or hygiene standards.
What makes this even more unacceptable is the price of the stay—around €150 per night. At that rate, guests should expect a clean, comfortable, and odor-free room. In fact, even if the room cost €1, it would still be unacceptable to subject guests to such conditions.
This hotel may be convenient, but it fails to meet even the most basic expectations of cleanliness and comfort. I strongly advise travelers to consider other options.

Rooms are nice and clean, breakfast is nice. At around midnight I called reception for a spare bedsheet. The answer was "No" and they hungup. I wasn't sure I heard correctly so I called again. The answer was still "No". No reason given, no alternative. still don't know what is the reason for this behavior.
On the other hand, the team in the breakfast lounge was very courteous and helpful.

I had a very disappointing stay at this hotel. The room was small and smelled strongly of urine. The food was terrible, with a very limited breakfast and dinner buffet, and they even charged extra for desserts. The staff seemed more interested in making sure guests paid than providing good service, and there was no room service available. Overall, I felt robbed by how much I paid for such poor quality and cheap services. I would not recommend this hotel.

Those who have plans to depart from orly airport, I would recommend staying this hotel. It takes about 5minutes from terminal 4 on foot.

Great location! I wanted to stay at the airport for a night before my early flight in the morning. It is only a few minutes away from terminal 4, you can get there by walking pass a bridge. If you're heading to terminal 3 then I guess it would be a 15 minute walk, also not bad! This hotel was safe and perfect for a solo traveller. However, I realised that there is a cheaper option next door, which is Ibis's budget hotel. I'm sure they would have a similar experience, perhaps opt for that next time!!

Truly exceptional service. The front desk staff kindly offered to store my medications, which needed to be kept refrigerated—something I truly appreciated. During dinner, Aida and Manu went above and beyond to prepare a meal that met my dietary restrictions. They surprised me with a carefully prepared salmon with broccoli and fruit, taking every precaution to avoid gluten and gluten cross-contamination. Their service was warm, professional, and far beyond what I expected. Thank you so much for making me feel so well cared for. I will definitely stay at Ibis Orly again.
