ibis Styles Paris Bercy

I kind of liked it, I stayed 4 days, only to go explore Paris, if is a touristic short trip at a “low” cost mode and you’re not staying the whole day at the hotel is worth it to stay here.
check in was for 2pm but they allowed me to do it at 9am what it was wonderful, service was ok, staff could have been nicer.
Breakfast was wonderful, it was a positive surprise, croissants, pain au chocolate, cheese, egg, ham, fruits, crepes, jam, Nutella, fresh squeezed orange juice, lots of options, it wasn’t crowded at all (may 10th 2024).
Lobby has vending machines, a microwave and water filters, tables, bar, and a kids space, everything very cool, lobby smells so good, is big, colorful in a cool style, I didn’t see many kids around tho.
Negative part: ROOMS!
Room situation was tricky, there is not a microwave or a mini fridge at the room and it’s literally SO SMALL, if you’re a big person, a big couple, or is staying with kids this place is not for u!! And I’m serious, shower is tiny, bathroom is so small, room is small and hot, AC doesn’t work in most of rooms, we complained about it to the receptionist and he changed us to 3 different rooms that the ac didn’t even go on, the 4th finally was working but it didn’t really get the room cold at all it did not even ventilate! I tried to open the window and I realized they locked with a lock so you can’t open the window and ac does not do its work, if you are always hot or if it’s summer I don’t recommend this place at all.
They also have parties at the terrace really cool, drinks to purchase, dj playing electronic music, everyone having fun, and everything shuts off at 11pm. Although I did not have any problems with noise, my experience in the 4th and 5th floor with noise was perfect, I could not complain.
After my check out I left my bag there during the whole day while I was exploring the city with no problems, they have a room and tags to keep it safe!
Subway and bus stops all over the hotel, everything so close! The line 6 that goes to the Eiffel Tower is right there at the door, 3 min walking, but to pantheon and Luxembourg garden too, 1 minute walking, hotel is easy to go back and forth through the most famous spots in Paris!

The good: Good breakfast, walkable to Gare de Lyon and BlablaBus & FlixBus station, and 5min away from metro station that takes you to the Eiffel Tower/Arc de Triomphe (40min away).

The bad: Bathroom have a natural bad smell (I’ve been to 3 different rooms and smelled the same) & no AC!

Breakfast includes: Cereals, milks, natural orange juice, coffee, thé, breads, jellys, butter, croissants, pain au chocolat, ham, turkey breast, french pancakes, nutella, fruits, etc… Very good and worthy!! Goes until 10am during the week and until 11am on weekends.

Thursday & Friday night they have an after work party at the back of the hotel with bar, food truck and DJ! It had a lot of people and everyone was drinking and partying when I went!! Really fun! DJ went until 11pm

Room & service:
I booked a double room and they gave me a 2 single bed room. My AC wasn’t working when I arrive my first night, I went to the reception and they said they will send someone in the morning. In the morning, I went again to check and the new receptionist didn’t have any information so I told her about the AC again and she said she would send someone during the day. When I was back at night, it was not working. I went AGAIN to the receptionist, she took my card put in a machine and said that now would work (I thought HOW?). Well, It didn’t work. I went down again, spoke with another guy. He went to my room, checked the AC and it was not working. He tried the room close to mine and wasn’t working to. So he tried one in a different level and was working. So I moved to a new room (it took him 1 hour to give me a new room). In the new room, the AC was not really a AC. It was more like a fan (very poor one). Didn’t do a change in the room. It was a hot weekend with temperatures as high as 26°C and the room was hot and unpleasant to sleep in!

I wouldn’t come back, specially during summer.
