Reviews
I would like to express my gratitude to all the staff, from the welcoming team at the entrance to the reception and room service staff. A special thank you goes to Tonia at the reception, whose kindness and professionalism stood out. Because of this exceptional experience, I’ve decided that I will always stay at the Westin whenever I visit Paris. Highly recommended for anyone seeking comfort, luxury, and top-notch hospitality!
Pros:
• The location of the hotel is fantastic, situated in Place Vendôme and within easy walking distance to major attractions like the Louvre and Champs-Élysées. The area is also filled with high-end fashion boutiques, making it ideal for shopping and sightseeing.
• The bathroom was spotless, and the housekeeping team did an excellent job of keeping the room tidy during our stay. We were in room 5002, and it was always well-maintained.
• The staff were generally friendly and accommodating. However, there was a noticeable gap in service with the door greeters, who often ignored guests entering and leaving the hotel. This was quite different from the other hotels we stayed at in Paris, where the greeting service was much more attentive.
Cons:
• We opted for a balcony room, and while we were informed of the low ceilings, the overall room felt incredibly tight, more suited for a single traveler than a couple. It wasn’t the most comfortable layout for two people.
• During our stay, the hotel hosted a conference the day before our departure. The lobby was chaotic, and some form of crowd management would have been appreciated. It became difficult to navigate through the common areas due to the large crowd, which also affected the surrounding spaces in the hotel.
Final Thoughts:
The Westin Paris benefits from its prime location and generally good service, but a few details like room size and lobby management during busy times could improve the overall guest experience. While the bathroom and housekeeping were great, small changes in how they handle crowd control and the attentiveness of the door staff would go a long way.
I had a tower view room with a balcony. It was OK. The bathroom was OK. We booked a rate that included breakfast. Breakfast was OK too.
The room cost over 700€ for one night. Maybe I'm getting old but I'd expect something a bit more impressive for that amount of money.
If you are looking for an expensive but OK hotel though then Westin Paris is definitely worth considering. It's absolutely OK.
Con: outdated, old room and bathroom with high price. Very old, never renovated in the last 40 years. Service at concierge desk was not fluent when I approached to request stay in the same room and not move to another lower category room. I could understand that the hotel was sold out, but I was surprised and not appreciated by the following warning statement that I can't stay the room pass the check out.
Additional tip, if you pay for the Eiffel Tower view room, you need to prepare to walk through many turns to reach the room. The elevator is only at one wing, and view room is at the farthest side.
My recent stay at the Westin Vendôme in Paris was truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and impeccable service. The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect.
The room was a dream come true, with a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower that took my breath away. The decor was elegant, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, providing a restful night's sleep. The room was spotless and well-maintained.
I cannot recommend the Westin Vendôme enough. If you're looking for a luxurious and unforgettable experience in Paris, this is the place to stay.
Lobby, lift, corridors and rooms were all kept very clean. The food and drinks at the restaurant were really tasty, and the price was about what you would expect for a location like this.
Bed was really comfortable. There was wired and wireless internet access in my room.
I’m personally not a fan of the old fashioned bathtubs, and the plastic appliances in the shower were severely yellowed.
