Maison Souquet Hotel in Paris

Fantastic hotel which makes you feel like you’ve travelled back to the times of Zola. Well taken care of by staff, particularly the excellent William. Just a short walk from the Moulin Rouge and the wonderful Montmartre. I couldn’t recommend this hotel any higher. It is lovely. Also, the swimming pool in the basement was an absolute joy for the family And I after a long day spent walking. Magnifique!

If you enjoy craft cocktails, phenomenal service, and a romantic luxury getaway, then this is the place for you. Highly recommended for couples and those interested in historical, belle epoque boutique hotels.

If Paris is the city of romance, then Maison Souquet is its sultry little love letter. I stayed here in July and, honestly, I’m still not over it. This isn’t just a hotel – it’s like stepping into a decadent Parisian dream with a fascinating backstory you can almost feel in the velvet-lined walls. Think: moody lighting, rich fabrics, and that “I’ve stumbled onto a secret” kind of vibe. It’s bougie without being pretentious, and every corner feels like it’s whispering stories from another era. The staff? Impeccable. Friendly, helpful, and genuinely accommodating – the kind of people who somehow make you feel like the only guest in the building. My room wasn’t enormous, but it had everything I needed, dressed to perfection in Maison Souquet’s signature style. The location is spot on – just steps from the Moulin Rouge, but tucked far enough away from anything questionable. You’re right in the middle of fabulous restaurants, cosy wine bars, and the kind of cafés where time slows down over a glass of Sancerre. Would I go back? Absolutely. In fact, I’m already plotting my return. Maison Souquet isn’t just somewhere to sleep – it’s somewhere to savour. My only tiny wish was that the hotel had a gym but hey ho

We stayed in this hotel during our Europe vacation. This is a kind of boutique hotel and different from tradition hotels. It is a very cozy and romantic kind of hotel and brings a kind of love feeling automatically as soon as you enter in your room. Room size is little small but I am sure that you might enjoy it. It is not a cheap option so be sure that you are comfortable to give it a try and explore this option. This hotel has a great history and it might excite some of you.. lol. Overall, a great stay and Thanks to the staff members to make our stay memorable.

My husband and I had one night in Paris before heading off to a longer holiday in London and chose Maison Souquet for what would be a truly remarkable and memorable stay. Right away I knew it would be a fabulous, special hotel as we were treated to welcome cocktails and a brief, historical tour of this one-of-a-kind establishment by Selene, who was first to greet us at the entrance. The hotel is a former pleasure house with original fixtures, mirrors and Belle Epoque details. The "gameroom"/bar and outdoor terrace are beautiful, and perfect for lounging with my romantic partner. Cocktails were delicious and excellent. We were also surprised with a complimentary upgrade by the manager to the Lady Otero suite which was wonderfully decorated with decadent, green velvet (my favorite color) and quite spacious, even for Paris. The bed and bedding were luxuriously comfortable and the bathroom with all its MS brand toiletries and rainfall, shower features were amazing. Only wish we could've stayed longer to take advantage of the private pool and steam room (1 hour reservations for guests). Thank you Selene and the entire staff for making our first (we'll be sure to return) stay at MS so unbelievable.

First, the good: the aesthetic of the hotel is exceptional, especially the lobby and the bar. You receive a personalised welcome including a history of the hotel. The rooms are super quiet and dark at night and you'll for sure get a good sleep.

The bad: the rooms are very small and the one we got (Rose) was a disappointment compared to the photos. The room lacked basic amenities like tea and coffee which you get in even the most low budget hotels, and when the front desk was called to ask about this, we were offered tea brought to the room, but then charged 20 euros (we got this removed from the bill of course, but this should not have happened to begin with).

The service was very slow during our stay, both the check-in but also the breakfast. It felt like it was understaffed, even though at breakfast it was only around half full at the time. In general, the service level attempts to be more personal to justify its 5 star rating, but clearly more staff are needed to pull this off properly.

The spa was too cold to enjoy.

I would not stay again, but would consider visiting the bar to enjoy the unique atmosphere.

Very good👌Beautiful environment. Later I found out it used to be **. The waiter also took me around and explained it. Very good service. There is a spa inside that you can enjoy privately because it was too late to see the Moulin Rouge.

It's great. The Moulin Rouge is just downstairs. It's very convenient to watch the show. There is a spa on the first floor, which can be reserved. The small swimming pool is very beautiful.
