We have just spent a week at Miramare , absolutely loved it , the staff were great always happy to help and chat , every where was spotless and the food was lovely always a good selection , just a short walk to a gorgeous sandy beach , 15 minutes into Agios Nicolas , it is very steep in places around the hotel is if you have Mobility issues but there were buggies we saw taking people around , a shout...

The food and service are good. The massage, on the other hand, was very disappointing. Instead of a deep-tissue sports massage, we were only lightly stroked, despite repeated requests to apply more pressure

In addition, the massage was supposed to last 55 minutes, but only lasted 45 minutes. The sauna was so cold that I got cold legs. As compensation, we were offered a relaxing massage…

The reason given was that the masseuse was pregnant, which unfortunately is not my problem a deep tissue massage being some lightly strokes

They could‘ve told us in the beginning, which we would‘ve accepted and could‘ve decided on our own whether to still do the massage or not

Several tiers for drinks, which I have never seen before, seemed very odd. Late checkout expensive at €80. Cannot continue to use AI when have checked out, which I have never seen before at an AI

Let’s start of with the room, we stayed in one of the villas in the resort, situated on the end of the cove away from the restaurants and main reception area, which I rather enjoyed as we were away from the hustle and bustle of the bars and night entertainment

To get around the resort you use the golf buggy system or the funicular system. The golf buggy drivers were so friendly especially manos who was so good with my son

Daios cove, or as I may say a cove of dreams. My family and I stayed here during the end of July to early August and this resort is absolutely exceptional

The only issue I would say in the room is the ants, if you leave any sort of food out of the fridge (even unopened) they will make there way in, and in the bin too

However, I would like to highlight the excellent service from Sarah and her colleague at the Beach Bar, they were always friendly and attentive. The buffet was very complete, with many options

The views of the cove are absolutely phenomenal and the sea is pristine and clear. Without a doubt, this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in, in Greece

We especially enjoyed the sheltered cove for swimming and snorkelling. Children spent all of their time in the sea, rather than the pools as felt so safe in the sea. Loved the jetty bar for an after dinner drink

This resort is absolutely magical! The views! The pools! The stellar service! We stayed in the Grand Animos Villa and it was absolutely perfect

The size of the hotel is perfect, not so many people and you feel that you have your space. It is an adult only hotel and very calm. The food (breakfast and dinner) is very nice (buffet)

The renovated rooms are fabulous (be sure to book a renovated one, because the old ones are not nice. I was told that they will renovate all rooms in the future)

Minos palace is a little paradise. It is my second time here and I will definitely come back. The views from the hotel are stunning

I also booked private yoga classes. It was really nice with a beautiful view over the sea

Don't plan to stay by the pool as you have to get up by 6 am to put your towel out 😱. Went to the beach every day which is excellent on the left hand side

The food in the international Buffett was second to none - a wide range of choices with a differing theme daily - the food was replenished often and not sat for lengthy periods of time

if you want a peaceful pint then it's perfect, the poolbar is open late so it's lovely sitting looking out to sea with a nightime drink listening to the waves, vicky and doxa at the bars are amazing cheerful and friendly and make your time there enjoyable, they are lovely ladies and I have never met nicer people, the beach is so beautiful and so easy getting in the sea for a swim as they have taken...

It’s very clear the management take such pride in the hotel and that’s really nice to see, I noticed from other reviews I had seen before and after our August visit the hotel had made slight changes from recommendations of their customers and it shows they really do value their customers

We had a ground floor apartment this time and my advice would be if you have older children and you get to sleep in a little later opt for a upstairs apartment as we had not lots of little stomping feet above us any time from 6am and a lot of time, crying in the night

There was a different vibe in June than August as it was not the usual school holidays so the hotel was mainly occupied by families with pre school children this meant our children didn’t meet many children their own age

Fantastic pension with amazing sea views. The host is super super friendly and will help with anything. Good location as it's a short walk to the town center and an even shorter walk to a lovely little beach.

Bath tub rather than shower cabin is somewhat old fashioned, but no problem for me. Buildings, beach and facilities are spread on a hillside at different altitudes

While this is attractive regarding setting and views, it might be unsuitable for persons with reduced mobility. The hotel is in quite some distance from the next town

I see this as a consequence of the spacious setting in a pretty landscape. 50 minutes walk to Elounda town center, no bus connection. All staff is very friendly and helpful

There are many sun loungers for different tastes of staying in the sun. In the morning at dawn, everything is treated with disinfectant solutions. The rooms are excellent, nothing special, but cozy

The private beaches are probably the best on the island, with soft sand and wave breakers that keep the water calm and peaceful. It made for the most relaxing days by the sea

The photos were quite limited, so we didn’t know exactly what to expect, but the space and layout were far beyond what we imagined. We arrived late, and the staff were kind, patient, and incredibly accommodating

The children’s pool is gently heated and perfect for little ones, and there was plenty to do around the grounds. We didn’t end up using the creche much because we were happy just spending time together on site

It really stood out how every staff member was willing to help, not just the one assigned to our table. They were also so lovely to our son, which made mornings even better. The resort is very family friendly

We had an amazing afternoon tasting wines, after our super fun cooking class. We made authentic Greek food, mussaka, and it’s a dish and skill we will treasure forever

We love this hotel and we were given an upgrade, as our previous booking was changed due to the rooms been refurbished. We were given a suite with a shared pool, which was a surprise

As outlined in other reviews there are undoubtedly areas of the hotel which could be improved to make it perfect but our overall experience was very good

The beach staff are friendly, but their service is slow and unreliable, which can frustrate guests seeking a seamless experience

I don’t eat Pork or red meat, so last year this was a problem for me, so we had to eat out most of the time, but this year there was plenty of lovely fresh fish, including sea bass and choice of chicken dishes

This is our third time at this Hotel, I have to say that last year the food was not that great, but this year with a new chef the food was so much better, and there was a good choice of food as well

The rooms are lovely and spacious, superior rooms have a much bigger balcony. There is a restaurant in site which is nice and roof top cocktail bar is superb. Spiros the bar tender is such a pro

We brought our own towels but you can can use the hotels ones (paid deposit). There were enough loungers for us getting up at 8am (June time). The hotel is fairly small and very quiet

We stayed here again as last year was amazing. It’s bed and breakfast and the breakfasts are excellent

It has its own small beach with a limited d number of beds, we're early risers so getting a bed wasn't a problem. Some people are still reserving beds but overall, it's not much of an issue

He was also quite disinterested when taking you food/drink order and was more concerned at waving at passing people/motorists to get them to come into the bar/restaurant rather than making those in their feel welcome

When we arrived we were shown tp our room which was like a broom cupboard with no view from yhe balcony, but how lucky the had a better room they could. offer us at an additional €40 per night, very convenient

Upon arrival we were shown to our suite, the hotel had gone above and beyond with providing champagne, chocolate cake and towel swans with fresh flowers laid out for us

The whole resort was great and clean, with towel available for sun beds. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone

Desserts were brilliant always a large selection, snacks available in various locations around the resort. Drinks were branded and tasted great from cocktails to spirits, you name it they had it or would make it for you

There is a shop on site and also over the road which was handy, the only downside but nothing the resort can do about it is the transfer from airport took 2 hours which was long after a days travel

A special shout out needs to be given to Matthew, the concierge, who went above and beyond in every respect taking immediate care of any request and ensuring all of our requests were taken care of

Food was great, a big selection to cater for all, for breakfast we had the option to eat in Ela restaurant which was a quieter setting with fresh food to order available

There are two large pools (and a smaller one) with plenty of sunbeds and parasols; also nice shady areas for those wishing to avoid the sun. The indoor/outdoor restaurant is set around the pool with a lovely aspect

The hotel was very French focused, which made us feel we weren’t getting the Greek culture we wanted to enjoy. Some bedding and towels had stains on them so felt dirty.

The service in the restaurant is efficient and there is a wide range of food and drink to suit most people's tastes; if you are not all inclusive the drinks prices are moderate

The rooms are, like the hotel, clean, modern and nicely furnished with all that you need including an excellent high pressure hot shower system

It is very sad situation that there is no beach access for an island resort yet the hotel is very nice and Maro Dyalina is a pearl. Her service is amazing and she make sure all the guests enjoy their stay

I’m not your normal busybody who leaves reviews for anything I am however exceptionally fussy and this by far is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in having visited many hundreds of hotels over the last 40 years the room the staff the food everything was superb and the location is fantastic

I like this hotel very much. Although it is far away from the core area, the scenery of the hotel is really good, and the hotel staff are very enthusiastic and the service is very good.

We booked for 7 nights in this hotel in Agios Nikolaos. The location is perfect by the sea coast, there is lovely blue flag beach right next to the hotel

Although reserving sunbeds was not allowed, some people brought their towels to reserve the beds, but did not come to the pool for another 1-3 hours

So the view of empty sunbeds with towels on them was very frequent and because of that plenty of people had to sunbathe on the floor or in a normal chair

The beach around the street from the hotel - this one is man made and there is no big difference between the pool and the sea. The beach has a lot of rocks if you want to swim. To truly experience a beach, go to Voulisma

Located in the heart of Agios Nikolaos town, just next to the beach. Clean place, unbelievable breakfast, gentle personnel. They have made an extreme make over renovation. There is little place to park.

- Charged us for early check in even when we told them we're not going to use extra day we booked because of early check out. - Room cleaning every other day. - You have to pay 5 euro deposit for beach towels

The room, place, food, beach is excellent. Manus and Asimina were the best host we ever had experienced. We will be coming again to the place and we highly recommend the place to visit a place just like a paradise

I ‘ve stayedin Faedra Beach hotel this year in august. I liked the hotel staff, always helpful, friendly and welcome. I felt I was the local amongs them. The room was clean, and being cleaned every morning

We bought breakfasts - it's a buffet breakfast, unique dishes, drinks, fruit, desserts. I also highly recommend having lunch in the hotel restaurant with a sea view, they serve exquisite dishes in 3 courses and dessert

2 lovely beach front restaurants 10 mins away at Amoudi Beach. Town about a further 20 mins. Had a wonderful holiday and would definitely return. So long as it remains adults only!!

Small beach but not nice for swimming. Got the impression hotel was nearer to the town but too far to walk for older people. Most of the staff lovely but some not at all helpful. Shame because it is a lovely spot

Take care when booking as we booked and paid for superior rooms which we did not get (apparently due to an EasyJet error but we spoke with another couple who had the same issue and had booked with another agent) and nothing was done by the hotel to rectify

Breakfast was good and bar and restaurant staff efficient and friendly. The pool bar closes at 6pm and music goes off and shutters down which is a shame when people are enjoying an early drink

The storage was poor so we lived out of our cases and were woken through the night by loud air con fans (external not ours) and I heard others complaining of the same issues

We had a slight issue and the manager Demetrius couldn’t have been nicer and rectified it straight away. They were great with advice, recommended trips and restaurants

Location is within walking distance of the center of Agios Nikolaos (shortest route via the beach). We were very satisfied with this accommodation

I had a wonderful end-of-summer holiday in Crete in beautiful Agios Nikolaos. The Blu Acqua hotel was a bit out of the way in terms of services, but on the other hand it was in a beautiful location on Almiros beach

Had a 2 night stay in the Deluxe Double Room with seaview and minipool. The room is spacious and nicely decorated. Large balcony area which had sun loungers, table and chairs plus the minipool

Overlooking sports running track and the sea. Wish there was instructions how to use the minipool. Our fault we could have asked. We found a sandy beach close by too. Visit Jollies bar a few doors along

The room was beautifully appointed. The shower creme and shampoo were baby powder scented ! So lovely. We had a very nice continental breakfast for a very reasonable €7 ! Hotel is perfectly situated

A cleaner visited the room every day. You can eat well at breakfast, although the offer is pretty much the same every morning. There is no swimming pool, but the beach is wonderfully close

Don't expect too much for that price. Its 10 steps to the beach and restaurants. They have an elevator to the floors but in entrance you have to take like 10 stairs without help. Would recommend for that price

Pleasant, quiet and inexpensive hotel. Good restaurant, cafe and beach within 2 mins walk. Be aware that there are several steps up to the main entrance from the pavement.

It is okay if you only need a place to sleep. The location is really good, except that it is difficult to find a parking spot. Also you have to go up some stairs to get to the hotel and then again to get to your room

The hotel is run from a supermarket downstairs and there is no real reception. The supermarket itself is quite big, but prices are a bit high. The double room we got was basic and quite dated, but the view was nice

Big studios with kitchen well equiped and bug enough bathroom. It is emplaced in aconvenient distance by Agios Nikolaos (3 km) and Elounda (10 min by car). There is a nice beach nearby at about 5-7 min walking

Micheal was a wonderful host and Maria an amazing housekeeper. They made us feel like home! They both deserve a 10. The appartement itself really needs renovation. Lot of stuff are outdated or even slightly broke/damaged

Also the beds to sleep in aren't comfortable. With the help of Maria we fixed that for a couple of days but everything can use a upgrade. If that will do by the owners than the appartements are perfect

Its an old building falling apart here and there. Found it to be clean, neat and cheap. Wish they would top up on the kitchen utensils, kettle enough plates etc

for 4 people as it can sleep 4 and they do advertise as selfcatering. The manager I found totally over bearing and he smelled of alcohol

If you are looking for a homely atmosphere, delicious food, peace, privacy, a small hotel, a charming town, you like the beach to be a few steps away and what is very important: wonderful staff, this is the place for you! Due to the small pool and lack of space for children to play, it may not be easy for families with children

And the beach front bars will gladly serve you all day long and prices are reasonable. I can not recommend this hotel enough. Maria the owner/ manager sorted out a problem for us and excelled in her solution

Air con is great if not too cold sometimes. And we had a fridge and kettle. The pool is small however the beach is a 30 second walk away. 2 loungers a table and a parasol for 10 euros a day

This is a typically Cretan apartment at its finest with so much charm. There are some lovely beaches close by within walking proximity

We walked along the coast to other beautiful beaches too - mainly Almyros (the golden beach) which was stunning, along with ammos (right near to the harbour)

Our two alacarte meals at pergola and the beach restaurant were excellent, not to be missed. Received a Nice going away present, Entertainment was good at the covered terrace bar

Hello!! rested at the Cretan villige Beach hotel 4`stars from october 2-8. Thia is my best holiday this year. The territory of the hotel is beautiful. The view of the sea is amazing

It was my first time visiting Greece and I was definitely not disappointed. The environment is large and maintained. The food did not disappoint either. There are several pools, not one or two bars

The hotel was just as on website, our room was very tastefully decorated and we had a spacious balcony with an amazing view of the sea. Location was ideal and staff were super helpful and friendly.

Breakfast was served at a beachside cafe jut 2-3 mins walk , choice was of bacon, egg and beans with toast, or greek breakfast of fruit and yogurt, there was also a toast and jam option

Had the best night sleep away from my husband and kids in the honeymoon suite! Local food recommendations were great and the location is perfect for walking around to everything in the area

Have been to this apartment five or six times the rooms are very comfortable and love the swimming pool Yvonne and the staff are so nice you feel like family The pool side bar is good nothing too much trouble I love it here nice and relaxing deffo coming back next year

So chilled, staff available if you need anything but are non-interfering, which I liked as have stayed in a neighbouring apartment complex and found it quite overwhelming and cliquey, if you wanted to keep to yourself

It is just far enough out of ag Nick to be guiete enough the facilities are very good people can't do enough for you rooms are cleaned and changed every day. Just fantastic views pool and bar sea 100 feet away

Luxe getaway The location and suites exceeded all our expectations. Dimitris was very helpful with recommendations on restaurants and visits to local villages. Having private access to the beach was quite a treat

The suite (the pool is even more amazing than pictures suggest) and location so close to the beautiful Almyros beach and short drive to Agios Nikolaos made this a wonderful stay

We stayed for a week in the unique suite. It is as spectacular as it looks on the pictures. The pool is massive for 2 people and the views are stunning. Everything is super clean and beautiful decorated

Breakfast being brought to your room every morning was delicious and enough food for lunch. The service was outstanding! Dimitris the manager couldn’t do enough for us and made our stay super special

My wife and I stayed in the Unique Suite for 4 nights during our honeymoon. Everything about the Sand Suites was absolutely fantastic, and we cannot recommend it highly enough
