Room was large enough for family with 2 kids and very tidy, cleaning was done daily. 15min walking location to Caldera beach, bus stop besides hotel to go to Red beach or Fira. Car was possible to be rented in the hotel - owner Kostas greets each traveler himself and offers needed help during stay. Very tasty breakfast.

We stayed 2 night at one of their villas. It was absolutely wonderful and we enjoyed the pool. Our other 2 nights we stayed at their hotel. The room was nice and loved the pool with the restaurant and bar right there.

All of the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. We had wonderful service. I know when I come back to Santorini I will be staying here.

Good place to stay. Continental breakfast. Great hotel restaurant. Good swimming pool. Housekeeping was an issue, especially with towels and soap. Very convenient minimarket nearby

I was waiting for a tour having this hotel as a pickup point. I was well-dressed and asked for a toilet and got a direct rejection like "only for members". Taking into account that one can use a guest toilet at all normal hotels, and THIS hotel is really far away from the civilization, I would not consider getting a room here any time soon.

What a fantastic place to stay! Beautiful grounds, pool, rooms, location! Food and wine was delicious, relaxed and peaceful atmosphere, staff very professional. Host Kostas becomes your personal travel agent, so knowledgeable and helpful about all aspects of visiting the island. Our family felt so welcomed and well cared for, we hope to return again!

Wow! Had such a fantastic stay at this hotel! Friendly service, great food and Mr. Mathios himself made sure we knew all the sites to see and arranged plans for us to make the best of our trip! We will be returning to this hotel on our next trip to Greece. Highly recommend.

One of the greatest experinces I've ever had at a hotel & Villa! The staff are incredibly polite and always aware of what they can do to help. The owner Kostas is an amazing agent who's recommendations made our trip as special as it can be. So thoughtful, knowledgeable and overall caring person! I'm definitely returning!

I have stayed at Mathios Village for a number of years and this is a wonderful place to stay. It is located in the quiet village of Akrotiri near to the Caldera Beach but there is a bus to Fira outside the door. Kostas, the owner and his staff are brilliant and nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is spotlessly clean and very comfortable, with good home-cooked Greek food. I can’t wait to be back there with my Greek friends.

After writing a google review we finally received a voucher, however we were told that we had to book by nov 15, which is less than 4 months away. With travel restrictions still at play we don’t think that is a fair deadline. The manager Kostas keeps saying there will be extra costing for our future booking and the voucher didn’t have our original booking amount. He is now threatening us for legal actions for a legitimate google review.

This is his emailed response to us.
“I have sent the mails the voucher in our lawyer and if you will not take out the review in 48 hours I will make any actions by law”

Best hotel in Santorini. Away from the touristy Fira and Oia. Easily driveable from Akotiri to Oi (35min). Beautiful and clean hotel. Excellent breakfast. Great views from the poolside restaurant. Owner was very nice and helpful. We booked a day boat trip to the volcano islands directly from the Owner. He can also arrange rental car for you. Mini market right next door, free parking.
