Our party of 12 were disappointed with this resort, mainly the unhelpfulness of admin. staff. I realize it was only a three star resort and you get what you pay for, but other than the poolside, it was not a pleasant stay. Even the hospitality across the road at their restaurant needed a jumpstart. The young waiter was nice, but the brother who runs it, needs to be in a different industry.

Our group of couples and friends stayed at Caldera View for five days, and we couldn't have found a better place for the price in Santorini. While renting a car is essential for getting around the island, it was well worth it for the stunning location. The property is clean, well-maintained, and efficiently managed. We highly recommend it and will definitely return!

This Resort is truly a little bit of paradise, spotlessly clean, excellent pool, excellent rooms, fantastic powerful showers. Nice and quiet and not a single towel reserving loungers. Very nice hotel, built in a beautiful style and very well maintained. I rarely had such a clean hotel room. The breakfast was ok, not too bad, but with too little choice of fresh food. The staff was overall very friendly and the food we had for dinner was very good.

I have to say I was a little worried but this was brilliant… hotel is clean and Irini and all her family is so accommodating. My sons are vegan and she catered personally with breakfast. The check in check out was perfect.. arranging taxis buses tours and quad bikes without any hassle - I will definitely go again !

Room was large enough for family with 2 kids and very tidy, cleaning was done daily. 15min walking location to Caldera beach, bus stop besides hotel to go to Red beach or Fira. Car was possible to be rented in the hotel - owner Kostas greets each traveler himself and offers needed help during stay. Very tasty breakfast.

We stayed 2 night at one of their villas. It was absolutely wonderful and we enjoyed the pool. Our other 2 nights we stayed at their hotel. The room was nice and loved the pool with the restaurant and bar right there. All of the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. We had wonderful service. I know when I come back to Santorini I will be staying here.

I have stayed at Mathios Village for a number of years and this is a wonderful place to stay. It is located in the quiet village of Akrotiri near to the Caldera Beach but there is a bus to Fira outside the door. Kostas, the owner and his staff are brilliant and nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is spotlessly clean and very comfortable, with good home-cooked Greek food. I can’t wait to be back...

Best hotel in Santorini. Away from the touristy Fira and Oia. Easily driveable from Akotiri to Oi (35min). Beautiful and clean hotel. Excellent breakfast. Great views from the poolside restaurant. Owner was very nice and helpful. We booked a day boat trip to the volcano islands directly from the Owner. He can also arrange rental car for you. Mini market right next door, free parking.

This hotel is incredibly charming, it's really beautiful and the amazing views take your breath away. Absolutely all the staff are super friendly and very kind! The hotel is in a very good location, facing the sea, and you can watch the sunset while sitting in the house. The front desk service is meticulous. Our boat arrived at 11:40 pm and checked in at 12:00 am, which was already early morning Beijing time. With the coordination of the Ctrip platform and the agent, we checked in smoothly. Excellent hotel we will go again next year

I'm not sure how to rate this stay. The hotel was gorgeous the pool was very nice. The breakfast was good but monitored. Meaning I was asked if it was my "second" cup. I received the impression they were very stingy. They even charged for use of a towel at the pool. They serve no food but a meager breakfast. If you want to eat lunch or dinner you have to go to the village about a half mile away.

Owner and son super nice. Property very clean and well maintained. Pool was beautiful but so cold. I wish the breakfast bar was outside by the pool bar. We had to eat out there which was lovely but it was inconvenient to keep going up and down the small stair way to the food. I thought the young lady that was working there could have kept our coffee fresh but she did not we had to go back up the stairs...

First impression was this cannot be a 2 star hotel. Nice little petite hotel very close to the beach. 1st morning here and we love this place already.

Great hotel pools. Near beach. Friendly staff. A/C is either on or off, so I could have a hot or cold room (no option to open a window, and balcony door didn't have a security open mode).

Nice beach with long walking trail. You can also ride around on an ATV here, or sit under an umbrella and take in the ocean with a nice beverage. Decent selection of restaurants as well as bars. Bus is very much not on schedule, so be prepared for long waits.

Love this beach. Out of season it is quiet and very chilled. Fallen asleep twice here after enjoying a few beers and food at places along the front.

Second time in Santorini for us and this time we avoided the hustle and bustle by staying in Mesaria for a night. The hotel was just perfect. Spotlessly clean. A large room and bed. Lovely breakfast. The staff were amazing. So helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel is close to the airport and port. 2:50EUR bus fare to the port for our next island.

A great, sweet hotel, very friendly host and staff. It is cleaned daily and requests are responded to in a very friendly manner. It is a very quiet environment, I slept well here because the beds are very comfortable. I also recommend the bakery which is open 24/7 and is just 5 minutes away.

The hotel is great, the rooms aren't exactly modern, but they have everything you need, reception is extremely helpful and everything you could possibly need is a walkable distance away, the only downside is that the shower water (hot tap) is salt water.

Immaculately clean, very friendly staff. In a great location near the beach. The pool is lovely with lots of sun loungers. Breakfast is very good with lovely home made cake. The rooms have good facilities, fridge and kettle.

Perfect place that I cannot fault! Brilliant location, a few minutes walk to the beach and a large choice of restaurants and bars. The staff at the black sandy beach are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel is immaculate decoration wise as well as cleaniniess, relaxing quite with a pool, bar and a delicious breakfast buffet. Spacious room with balcony. Extremely good value for money

We stayed for 3 days and this was a perfect location. Short walk to the beach and beachfront restaurants, and bus stop to go to Fira or Oia. Costas was a wealth of knowledge and help for all things to see and do. Great restaurant on site and a nice continental breakfast. Beautiful pool area, Clean as well.

I booked our first trip to Santorini for my husband’s birthday, we arrived at the hotel around 9.30 in the evening to a very friendly and warm reception, I am disabled so we were given a ground floor room with a beautiful all in shower and large balcony. We stayed at the amaryllis hotel for 5 nights and it was a clean and cosy family run hotel. We had a ground floor room that overlooked the pool which was very clean and airy and plenty of space (could of done with a long mirror) . The breakfast had a few changes each day and lots of choice. We also ate at the attached restaurant the Veranda with lots of choice and big portions and tasty chicken gyros...

I personally did not stay at the hotel. However my family and I ate at the restaurant and they were so kind and funny. The best pizzas in Perissa and the pancakes and waffles were delicious. Marcus in particular was very friendly and made our day with his sense of humour!

Basic yet comfortable accommodation. Very nicely presented from the outside and only 20 or so rooms so never felt crowded or too anonymous. Beautiful views of the mountains behind Perissa and some very friendly cats on site.

The only reason why I am giving this a 4 star is because the bathroom is soooo tiny. It's very cramped and too small to put a shower, toilet and sink. Otherwise the stay was enjoyable. The front desk people were kind, friendly and very helpful with getting around town. They coordinated a taxi for me to get to Oia and to get to the airport at 4 a.m.! Beds are comfy but pillows are rock hard. Grounds are nice but doors are so loud when closed they're deafening!

We love The Best! We first came here in 2011 and returned in 2024. The owner is very friendly and speaks good English. The location is great, close to Perissa Beach which is relaxed compared to other places in Santorini.
