Crowne Plaza Athens City Centre, an IHG Hotel

Old style hotel, it has a bidet. Eating breakfast with a nice view of the city (not Acropolis) is the highlight. Located far from Acropolis next to the busy street, not in the tourist area, so you don't get the traditional Athens romantic feel. Gym is in the lower floor, creepy. Overall good full service hotel in the area where most hotels in Athens are locally run with limited amenity. Service is great.

I come here quite often for work.

What I like:
breakfast is fantastic
The view from bf restaurant is awesome.

Things I don’t like:
Even being a diamond IHG ember and I habe updated my details 48 h in advance I was given a room looking toward the restaurant with small bed , even after I have asked if I have been upgraded . They tried to tell me I needed a quite room, therefor they don’t give me a view.

The club lounge carries bad quality food , from the previous day. So it’s nit edible.
As no body likes it , it stays there for long hours covered in ants.

I’m the afternoon all the snacks were fine, and even the bottle opener was missing which made impossible to open a drink.

Location is nit the greatest, a big noisy street, but I don’t mind the location.

The gym is ok, even needing a renovation, and the swimming pool is for 1 person, they have a pool just so they could take a star.

This is not Crowne Plaza, but something worst than Holiday Inn express.
