Arrived at Art hotel after a wonderful 5 star cruise to enjoy 2 days in Athens. Couldn’t check in until 3pm - not a problem as we wanted to explore. Have to say the girl at reception was really lovely - the only plus. The area did not feel safe to me. So walked to city centre -at least 1.5 km. Walked back needing a shower and a drink. Could not have either - no towels until 6pm as they were in the laundry and no bar. The room was terrible. Fridge and hairdryer not working and no shower only small bath with hand held shower head. Bathroom was grimy and air conditioning on the blink. Asked for another room and the said they wouldn’t know until 6.30 pm. They say this hotel is 4 stars. Are they kidding? 2 at best. We left and booked a fab apartment in Plaka in the heart of everything.

Worst possible hotel to stay in Athens. The rooms are very poorly kept, dirty at the time of check-in, not even a bottle of water was provided. Worst of all was the receptionist who checked our group of 7 in 4 rooms. An extremely rude, arrogant and obnoxious person who does not have a clue about hospitality. Our group was booked for 5 nights but we Checked-out the very next day into a wonderful apart hotel for the remaining 4 nights.

Aircon was not working for our two mights stay, only Nam was very helpful to provide a solution, he provided an extra room so we can sleep properly as we had to go to the port early morning and almost slept midnight

The shower was terrible: the glass cover to prevent water to come out was barely even there. The safe didn’t work: we had to call the receptionist 4 times before she came up to help. We were told the breakfast area was around the corner of the road, it was inside. We don’t even talk about the bed.

I had a cozy and comfortable stay at the Art Hotel. The rooms were stylishly decorated, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff were attentive, and the location was convenient for exploring the city. Overall, a great boutique experience in Athens.

Very nice, comfortable hotel. Modern rooms, excellent staff, especially Miranda, wonderful pool garden. I got free late check out. Nice restaurant, overage breakfast. Great value for money. My 2nd visit, both times staying for 3 days. Central part of Athens but not the most wanted. one. However, safe after all.

So the city is just sadly so dirty, tagged and filled with the homeless. It felt dirty but not dangerous. The hotel itself was nice as a previous review art was interesting but it was lying around in places. It looked like they had not gotten done putting it up. The television did not work and no idea how to call down. The staff was lovely and kind. We did not ever partake in the breakfast but there were so many awesome bakeries/coffee shops. It was easy to get around but we will probably stay in plaka or mythraoki next visit. It just felt more vacation spot.

It’s easy to walk to restaurants, train station and all the attractions that bring people to Athens. The staff was super helpful and kind. The air conditioner worked really well. The WiFi went in and out. The area is a bit dodgy. I wouldn’t want to walk around there at night. You get what you pay for
