Brown Kubic, a member of Brown Hotels

Advertises as a 4 star I really don’t think so. I’d give it 2 star. Also advertises a welcome drink on arrival…didn’t get one but did have 1 bottle of water in our room for the both of us to share. Advertises restaurants and bars, however no bar. There is a kiosk right outside the hotel which sells alcohol, cigarettes and snacks. Across the road from the kubic is a seating area full of junkies and drunks. The graffiti which is just about everywhere looks a mess. Very busy and dusty city. Booked a trip via the kubic and as stated in the brochure commenced at 08:15hrs. Having being ready at 7am we were down stairs having breakfast waiting for our pick up. Post breakfast…the receptionist said that she called the room we were staying in twice. Unfortunately we weren’t aware of any phone calls. She appeared a bit snotty and said the coach left at 07:30hrs to take us to the pick up point as her colleague told us. I looked at my husband and both said together no one told us about the 07:30hrs pick up. So we got back the 60 euros deposit and went to the Acropolis via uber for a lot cheaper than 160 euro for us both on the excursion with the hotel. 4 nights is enough to visit the city. The history is amazing as is the food. The hotel staff didn’t appear to care and there uniforms looked shabby. I would never go back again even if it were free.

Air conditioning was not working and despite several complaints to the manager it was never fixed. Reservation was done via TUI and the price paid was much higher than hotel deserved. It is definitely not a 5 or 4 star hotel.
