Domotel Kastri

I recently dined at Domotel Kastri Hotel with my family, and unfortunately, it was a deeply disappointing experience. We were drawn in by the beautiful garden, but that’s where the positive experience ended. After enjoying our meal, we asked to have the remaining food from our 2-year-old son's meal packed to take away. Shockingly, the server informed us that there’s a new policy forbidding takeaways, citing "hygiene" as the reason.

To say this policy is absurd would be an understatement. As someone who has traveled the world, I’ve never encountered a restaurant refusing to provide paid-for food as a takeaway. It’s concerning on multiple levels: if hygiene is the issue, it makes me seriously question the quality and safety of the food. It’s a shame because such policies and poor customer service only serve to damage what could otherwise be a reputable establishment.

Adding to the frustration, when I asked to formally submit a complaint at reception, I was told there was no complaint form available and that my issue would be "passed on" to management. This complete lack of professionalism and failure to follow standard practices, such as having a formal complaint process, is troubling for a hotel that claims to meet high standards.

As a local resident, I had hoped to enjoy this restaurant regularly and recommend it to business partners and clients. However, after this incident, I can’t, in good conscience, suggest anyone dine here. It’s a real pity for what could have been a great dining spot in the neighborhood. Until they address these issues, I would advise others to think twice before visiting.
