Athens Iris Hotel

My wife and I have stayed at the Athens Hotel Iris twice. Once in 2022 and now in 2024 at the start of our honeymoon journey in Greece. I only have great things to say about this establishment. It has a family owned feel to it, both times the staff seemed to care about our stay. Clean rooms, air conditioned, breakfast is traditional. I definitely suggest this to anyone who is planning to stay in the Athens area either overnight or for a few days.

The first time we visited, we were close to many touristic views within walking or short cab ride distance which made it easy and fun to plan.

The second time we used the hotel as a night layover for a different flight. The taxis in Athens coincidentally had a strike the morning that we wanted to return to the airport (30minutes away drive from the hotel). The staff were very accommodating and provided us a shuttle service. The driver told us, “I will get you there no matter what”.

Excellent choice and when we visit Athens again we will be back.

Super comfy beds, clean rooms, tasty breakfast, close to Metro

The room was adequate for what you paid. The close location to the rail and metro was why I stayed here. The staff were helpful and friendly

This hotel is very close to Larissa Metro Station & Athens Centrail Railway station. Area sidewalks are very narrow but the walk is minimal. The hotel itself looks newer than the surrounding buildings. It is tastefully decorated inside and out and is also kept very clean. The elevator is very functional but small and has a push- door. The only down side I found during my stay was the wifi - it had good speed but kept dropping and requiring a reconnection.

Service is where this hotel really shines. It's reception was courteous and knowledgeable about Athens. They were always willing to assist and were very pleasant to deal with.

The rooms and bathrooms by U.S standards are very small, but functional and clean. The website states the rooms are soundproofed but I could hear everything going on outside at all hours. We stayed for one night after being up for over 4o hours of travel so I would probably find somewhere quieter if you are really tired. The continental breakfast lacked as well. I would stay here again though if I was well rested. Very polite and friendly staff.

Great location with easy, free parking. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast. I would stay here again if In Athens.

A1 hotel the staff here is amazing. The hoops they jump through to make sure your stay is comfortable, ensuring you have taxi service when you need it, accommodating for unusual situations. I have never been to greace and without them the stay here would have been much harder. They are unlike any other hotel I've ever been to. Special thanks to Julia for all you help!
