Pines Hotel

I do not recommend staying at this hotel. It is overpriced for what it offers. We were given an extremely noisy room facing the highway that also smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. After wasting over 30 minutes at the front desk requesting a different room without the tobacco smell and noise, we were moved to an even worse one — dirty, with cigarette remnants under the bed and grime clearly accumulated over years of neglect.

The showerhead wouldn’t stay up, so we had to improvise by tying it with a plastic bag. The shower also lacks any curtain or screen, so water splashes all over the bathroom floor, creating a serious slipping hazard.

Lastly, this does not feel like a family-friendly hotel. It seemed more like a pay-by-the-hour motel for private encounters.

This hotel couldn’t be worse!
Very noisy, with a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the room. I asked to change rooms due to the noise and smoke, and it was even worse!
Filth everywhere.
This hotel feels like a intimacy motel.

The rooms smell smoke and they told me there is no non-smoking room when I asked them to change mine. My room was facing the highway. So there is a lot of noise coming from the highway if you open the window to keep the room ventilated due to smell. I was told all the suite rooms are facing the highway. Therefore, I had to accept downgrading my room if I wanted a room facing backyard and I took it because the smell and noise were unbearable…

The A/C was running at full blast but the room was still at 29C.

For me, having a breakfast box is ridiculous.

The last thing is taking a shower. There is no cabinet and everywhere gets wet when you take a shower.

Consequently, it’s unfortunate and not a hotel that I can suggest to stay…

Their suites are fantastic, the rest of the rooms are mediocre. Also very importantly, on my last visit the a/c unit on two rooms was underperforming resulting in a quite bad experience.

Worse hotel ever. The rooms are facing a highway, so it is not possible sleep due to the constant traffic noise. The bathroom are old and there is a mini shower without curtains which you can’t use, not even for washing your toes because all the water goes to the floor. Terrible experience.
