Anessis in Fira

I must commend the honesty of staff in this hotel.My daughter forgot her airpods in this hotel and her friend forgot hers also.They only realised when they got back to Ireland Devasted.They don't remember the girls name they dealt with but they emailed the hotel and the items were sent registered post back to Ireland. Fair play to them.They could have said they didn't find them and keep,They might not be bothered with the hassle of posting.Nice to know there are kind and honesty people out there

We loved our stay here! The team are fabulous! The room was lovely, modern, spacious and clean! A brilliant location to explore Santorini!

We stayed at the Anessis in August as our friends were getting married in Fira. The hotel is of a great standard, with a lovely pool area. The rooms were of a good standard with a kettle and fridge. The room was cleaned daily and on request an iron and mini-board was provided without fuss or delay. You’re about ten minutes walk away from town with all the bars and restaurants. As is typical with smaller Greek properties there is no on-site bar or shop so you’ll need to venture out to get some drinks and snacks, but there are shops within five minutes stroll. We would highly recommend the Anessis to anyone and would stay here again if back on the island!

We took a taxi from the airport to the hotel which took about 15 minutes (30 euro) and at first we were a little worried as the hotel seemed to be quite a way out of town. However, it turned out to be a 7 minute walk to the bus station and centre of Thira. The walk to the bus station is uphill but is on paved roads The hotel room was basic but the bedding, towels, bathroom and room were all spotlessly clean. There was a kettle and fridge and a small safe. The staff,were all extremely helpful and welcoming.

Booked Anessis for one night after coming off a ferry waiting for our flight the next day. Better than expected for the price. It was very close to the bus station - walk past the open air cinema and through the coach park - cross the busy one way road - and you’re there. The pool is lovely. We had it all to ourselves the next day whilst waiting for our flight. We checked out then used the pool all afternoon. The young lady at the desk was very accommodating and let me use the small bathroom in reception to get changed. She was also very happy to look after our luggage while we walked up to Fira for our last early dinner before going to the dreaded Fira bus station for a bus to the airport. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The location is excellent, 5 minutes walk to the bus station. The hotel has a swimming pool, complete facilities, a refrigerator, and free large bottles of water. The bad thing is that the soundproofing is not good, and even worse is that the windows cannot be opened, and the air conditioner broke on the second night!

Great little hotel with views over looking the eastern side of Santorini by the airport. We were welcomed by Dimitri and his wife with food and drink, which we really appreciated. Our room was reasonably spacious, big comfy bed, table and chairs outside so we could enjoy the views with a glass of ouzo. the town of Fira is only a few minutes away, we cut the corner by going through the coach park. We only used the pool for a few hours because we were busy seeing the sights, but the pool was fine. We have visited Santorini 4 times so we knew what to expect in Fira. We booked the lunchtime caldera boat trip, and on the advice from the travel guide decided to walk down to the port, but it is nearly 600 steps, and you have to dodge the donkeys. When we got near the bottom a donkey stood on my wifes foot badly bruising it, so we didn't get to walk up to the volcano, and we got the cable car back up, I wish we'd got it down. We visited the Greek Wedding show that we absolutely loved, if you come to Fira, book it. We had booked a restaurant about a mile away from our hotel, and Dimitri was kind enough to give us a lift to it. Genuinely nice people. If we come back to Santorini, we would happily stay here again. Thank you to our hosts.
