Nice and traditional! Well kept and very friendly staff. They accommodated us on a Saturday evening, which was much appreciated! It's in the center of town and very convenient.

We have stayed at the Rex a few times over the years and have been more than satisfied on every occasion. Our room on the 4th floor was on the corner of the building and was flooded with light

The bed was comfortable and the room scrupulously clean. The staff on reception were most helpful in every way

He then took me outside to show me exactly where the shop was. Breakfast provided an excellent choice and the ladies looking after the room were constantly refilling the platters to ensure there was enough

We often encountered locals enjoying their morning coffee or evening drink both in the bar and at the tables outside. The hotel is well placed for visiting everything in Kalamata

The place looks a bit worn down, but we had a nice big room for 4 adults at a good price. It has a central location with the city center a few minutes away on foot. Very friendly staff that made us feel welcome.

I find most of the reviews unfair the location is central and that’s the main prp of this hotel, rooms and the bathroom were clean. helpful receptionist. good value for money

Giannis, who I was in touch with, showed interest in my travel plans and and shared hints/tips about how to get to different locations. Also there are plenty of coffee shops nearby with options for breakfasts/dinners

On the basement there is a bakery that you can have breakfast and they even deliver coffee in the apartments. Of course you could prepare breakfast at the apartment since there were all the necessary equipment

The apartment was sparkling clean, exactly as it looks in the pictures. It has everything you need for a short or long stay

I came for a literary festival in Kardamyli and this place is incredibly convenient for the marquee, as well as for a small local beach and cafe and only 5 mins walk to the centre of the village

It was very clean and quiet and a has a colourful garden at the entrance. The host doesn't speak English but her daughter does. She was kind enough to lend me an iron

I had a large bedroom with a balcony looking towards the village, and a small kitchen. There is a bigger kitchen in the house for guest use as well

Seaside restaurants are minutes away. I took an enjoyable 20 minute drive up the mountain behind the hotel and the views got better and better. Their is a high mountain peak covered with snow

A magical place, overlooking the sea. Clean and well-kept down to the smallest details. The room is spacious and has a fully equipped kitchenette. We had a great time and hope to return!!!

It is the nicest place we have stayed at in Greece. The rooms are very clean spacious comfortable. The walk to town is down 100 steps and you will have to walk up those steps to get back so keep that in mind

Walking from the path, down the hill, in 8 minutes you are in the high street of Kardamili, where all the taverns and shops are located. I would definitely recommend Vardia and of course I will visit again

The service was wonde4ful with complementary local products - bottle of wine, bottle of milk, olives, sun dried tomato paste and homemade cookies. The kitchenette was perfect for making eggs in the morning

There is a stocked bar with soft drinks, beers etc. Kardamyli itself is beautiful with some excellent places to eat near the harbour and further afield. The service is excellent and rooms are super comfortable

Such a chilled out place right next to the sea for morning swims, views and sunsets. The pool area is immaculate and the awesome staff will bring complimentary watermelon and water to your table

Pricey, But 2* it is not. All you need is a bed with that view and a bed it had. Literally on the sea. Be sure not to make the mistake of having a side sea view. Apartment is better than studio

A rather lovely hotel, with suites rather than rooms (we had a large bedroom and separate room with kitchen/seating area) right beside the sea

Lovely robes to wear after a super morning swim in the pool where we were brought glasses of water and refreshing melon. Amazing sunset view from the balcony and extremely comfy bed

Very serious hotel! We are 2 couples who in December 2019 booked 2 rooms for a week at the end of May. As we all know, it was not possible to travel in Europe at this time

A great friendly hotel in a dramatic spot right on the rocky shore with ladder access to sea. The staff are very welcoming and the breakfasts great. No pool but can use the pool at sister hotel a few minutes away

The views, the host and the facilities are all top notch! Joanne the owner is an amazing host, she runs the place on her own flawlessly, the villa has the most insane views and is secluded and as close to nature as possible, a super unique experience

She even handed me a whole bag of fruits, veggies and cake to greatly enhance my dinner! Experiencing this kindness and hospitality was very heartwarming; I hope I can come back and stay at beautiful Taygeti some day

We had cherries and fruit and orange juice stocked in the fridge, along with fresh baked cookies and bread and butter. When you stay here, it feels like you are a friend staying in a guest house

We had a great lunch at Mystras Inn. The inn is located in the center of the small town. It has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We had a table with a picturesque and relaxing view of the square

I read some of the reviews that said the food was poor or in small portions. I actually had a grate experience here. I ate the best tzatziki and lamb chops that i ever had in Greece in all the years that i visited

The place was busy because a coach just dropped off about 50 tourists in front of the restaurant, but the service was still surprisingly fast. We ordered the spaghetti and stuffed wine leaves

The wine leaves are a typical Greek dish, but it wasn't really my thing lol. When we went inside to pay the bill, we each got a free ice cream for dessert

Beautiful little inn nestled in the picturesque village of Mystras Sparta with amazing views of the castle and plenty of hiking paths to take you there

Lovely place. The food was great. I really enjoyed the musaka. This was a good stop after an unforgettable visit to the mystras fortress and palace.

The pool was open late for us, the mountain and countryside view was so pretty and it was very peaceful. We ate at the onsite restaurant for dinner and every dish that came out had a presentation that was beyond 5 Star

Sparta is very lucky to have this amazing resort so close. If looking for big crowds and crowded streets this is not the place for you but if looking for very personal experience this is the place

The rooms here are spacious and clean with a great bed. Our room had a separate lounge and a basic kitchenette. There is a lovely spa but we didn’t book ahead so lesson learned there

Either driving in, or an 8 euro taxi from the bus station which is about 10 minutes from Sparta center to the hotel front door, we weren't sure if we were at the hotel or not

The rooms were not your yacht club extraordinaire style but an authentic Greek brown tiled, cabin home away from home feeling place, with extremely comfortable beds and top quality pillows that one can feel a perfect form and a deep sleep coming on while breathing in the clean mountain air

We visited recently "Pyrgos of Mystra" with my family (3 adults) for Greek Orthodox Easter vacation. The location and the venue were exquisite! We totally felt that we were "escaping" from our routine

Great mid-range hotel at an affordable price well located for ancient Mystras. Hotel is spacious - with good little pool in leafy garden - most rooms are newly decorated and have balconies overlooking the street

cons: I called the number as on booking it was placed in the center of Sparti not in Mystras but as we planned to visit the castle next day we agreed to stay here. The hotel advertises himself of one of the '60s

Country like hotel with nice view from the balcony. What I found a little problematic was the entrance to the reception. There were at least 10 steps, so it is harder to move suitcase up to the hotel lobby

It is the best place to stay in Mystras! Elena is a great host!!! She has been very helpful and supportive!! I had a room for one person, and it was small, cozy, clean with an amazing view

The apartment was right in the town square with a view of the archeological site from the large balcony. The rooms were clean, spacious with a fantastic bathroom. You could even turn around in the shower!!!

Nice location 50 m from the main square. Lots of good family restaurants nearby. Air conditioning in the room, nice and quiet. Very good to have a fridge in the room! Quick free wi fi

Breakfasts are not included but there's a bakery and a restaurant 30 seconds away where you can treat yourself with a traditional Greek breakfast, lunch or dinner

Also, there is a village 10 minutes away (on foot) with 3 tavernas where you can enjoy Greek cuisine. Money wise everything is worth its modest price

Located less than 40m from the beach and resort centre. Entrance on the ground floor brought you into a small living area with a little kitchenette. Full size fridge with large freezer section

There was a safe and air con , no charge made, the owners also supplied complementary slippers, shower gel, shampoo, toothpaste, razor, sewing kit etc, not expected in a 2star rated self catering property

We staying in studio 429, which was one floor up from reception. The studio was immaculate, well cleaned and looked after, good size balcony. There was a large sofa bed for a third person if necessary

Our room was very clean,comfortable and spacious with a large balcony with a plesant outlook and views of the mountains. This is the fifth time we have stayed hear and never been disapointed

Everything about this Hotel was as near perfect as you could want. Cleanliness of rooms and commen areas was impeccable. Breakfast setup, variety and quality was wonderful. Staff could not be more friendly or helpful
