The only positive of the hotel is the location and the beach

I stepped on it, and it broke, which led to me falling and fracturing my toe! They need to fix and exchange the weathered plastic to metal

Ideal for families since majority of the people are families with kids. So important when you have a kid / kids. There is a lifeguard on duty. Garden rooms can be connected and garden rooms are so ideal for kids

Very dated and tired hotel with lots of things broken or looking past their best. There is no shower curtain or screen so the bathroom floods. Breakfast is chaotic with fake orange juice and weak coffee

Spent a week there with my family, the location was perfect for us, just a short bus ride into town. (2km to the harbour, about 4 to City Square)

Scenic views, cleanliness and comfort made my day better. A good Relaxing atmosphere and good staff too. 😊

Customer service was top notch! Our group lost our luggage thanks to Sky Express and Paris at the front desk went above and beyond to locate and have it delivered

The hotel is nice but needs some reno. The carpets in the main areas are pulling up. The room was large and bathroom was decently sized

The Akti Taygetos Resort is located a 20-minute drive from Kalamata. You can also take a taxi to get there, but renting a car is recommended for easier travel around the area

If you’re looking for a quaint romantic experience, this place is not for you. It caters to tour groups who arrive in large motor coaches. As a result, breakfast is a crowded and rather chaotic affair

As school seemed to be on break, a large number of families with little kids were out and about. However, it is located nicely near the beach and the grounds are lovely

Receptionists were always very kind and available to call us taxis anytime we needed (the hotel is located at approx 12-15€ taxi ride from Kalamata)

The hotel is quite isolated, but with a car location is good to explore both Kalamata and the surroundings

However, the breakfast could use more variety. To access the sea, you can either cross the road or use an elevator provided to get to the other side. You can also enjoy snacks like club sandwiches or salads

We took a lot the taxi to go to Kalamata and they always phone for us in Greek, very helpful ! The room was very big and clean, bed confortable, sheets changed every day, amazing view on the sea and Kalamata city

We have really great time at the hotel. Nice, clean room, beautiful swimming pool area, nice beach, very clear sea. Very friendly and helpful stuff, great breakfast buffet, fresh fruits, very good dinner

Break fast was super, a lot of different food and preparations, always very fresh. The pool is big and at a nice temperature, calm atmosphere, ideal to have a break in our stressful lives

I stayed in Messinian Bay Hotel for 7 nights with my partner. The Staff were very nice and helpful, they know a lot about the local activities and good prices

You must drink bfresh handmade lemonade with stevia only 5 kcal per jar ???????? perfect place to be!

Near hotel is nice pastry shop with delicious goods. I can highly recommend this place!

Very nice, clean rooms - wonderful view! The staff is really lovely and helpful- Breakfast was basic but good, the beach is right opposite, the hotel will give you towels (for a small fee)

Close to a lot of cafes, restaurants and mini markets. The city centre is a short taxi ride away (or 30 min walk) - all in all,quite a lovely place to start a Greek holiday

Great place to be in Kalamata. Excellent view over the harbour and into the mountains... Hendrick's Gin with cucumber as in Hamburg and Düsseldorf. Food is great! Simply enjoy!

Had two visits to the spa again a wonderful experience would highly recommend. Negatives - parking on road front of hotel limited spaces

Little traffic noise early morning but all in all a very pleasant and comfortable stay

We had sodas by the magnificent pool (they serve cocktails if you like). There are 2 lovely banquette rooms near the pool. It would be fantastic to have a wedding reception at this place. I would go back in a heartbeat!

Great views and breakfast buffet! On the negative side, it’s way up on a hill, roads not easily walkable and the road surface very rough for most small cars

The breakfast is good and in a room with yet another beautiful view of the bay and the city. It does have a steep access but,the front desk person came out to help with luggage without my asking

Cannot describe how mush i felt like this was too much for me. I felt real luxury every time i set foot here, rooms were amazing and were really comfortable

The room is new, modern and clean with a nice comfortable bed and a wonderful view of the bay during the day and the city lights at night

Breakfast is also served on your private Terras and The area is very quite so perfect for people who want to rest and charge up their batteries. If we are in the area again i would definitely book again at this hotel

Came here for a few days in 2019 with two others. The hotel is in a great location with lots of things to do nearby

Location is on the beach but far from the centre

We had the room on the first floor and next to the road. Between then road and the church bells, it was really noisy. Breakfast is OK, with bread, croissants, muesli and some fruit

Lovely venue I got talking to the gardener. Randomly had a very long conversation. Later on in the afternoon he was still working there. I asked him if he was not tired. He was elderly type gentleman

The breakfast buffet is fine, just what you can expect from an included breakfast. The location of the hotel is a bit far from the city centre, but for the money you can't complain

Perfect location, not just to the beach but everywhere else in Kalamata and surrounding places. It even has its its own car park

The reception is manned 24 hours a day and what is of great use for guests with cars is that there is a certain number of parking spaces at the hotel! We can really recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay inexpensively but still relatively central to the seafront

The staff are just so friendly and go over the top for you, will call you a taxi, recommend places, help you take your suitcases around. For a 2 star hotel, it is absolutely AMAZING

The place looks a bit worn down, but we had a nice big room for 4 adults at a good price. It has a central location with the city center a few minutes away on foot. Very friendly staff that made us feel welcome.

Rooms and premises are ok if you're not too picky or too "vanilla". The location is great since it's just 6 meters from the beach and away from bars (so it's quiet enough)

This hotel is essentially a masterpiece of neo-Balkan architecture. The tiles on the floor seem to be in diagonal shape, which is quite amazing

We just visited the beach in front of the hotel, took a swim and had some coffee and drinks at the beach. Great, friendly and fast service. Good prices.

It's not to far from the main city and real close to some amazing beaches

After reading some reviews I was a bit like "what am I going to find".. but everything was ok, the room was clean and tidy. Very good. Nevertheless, you can always have a look at the room beforehand.
