Where to stay in Kalamata

The exterior, the food and the service was great. I would wish for a proper espresso machine instead of the nespresso. The room was a bit old. Ventilation on the bathroom did not work. Excellent location. All that you want in a hotel .. and more. Access to private beach. Don't care for salty (or rough) water? Awesome, plus-size pool with full pool-side service. Enjoy a Mai Tai or a glass of wine with fruit. More amenities (spa, gym, etc. that we didn't get the chance to enjoy).

Very dated and tired hotel with lots of things broken or looking past their best. There is no shower curtain or screen so the bathroom floods. Breakfast is chaotic with fake orange juice and weak coffee. The beach is lovely and the fact it's right by the hotel is a good selling point. This hotel has huge potential if they renovate and improve their F&B act. The location is outstanding - right next to Kalamata and in a private beach where the waters are crystal clear. They need to invest to upgrade their rooms and it can become a wonderful resort.

Customer service was top notch! Our group lost our luggage thanks to Sky Express and Paris at the front desk went above and beyond to locate and have it delivered. The pool is large, the rooms are clean and the breakfast has a lot of options. It helps that the beach is literally across the street.

Very nice, clean rooms - wonderful view! The staff is really lovely and helpful- Breakfast was basic but good, the beach is right opposite, the hotel will give you towels (for a small fee). Close to a lot of cafes, restaurants and mini markets. The city centre is a short taxi ride away (or 30 min walk) - all in all,quite a lovely place to start a Greek holiday.

Beachfront Hotel close to all restaurants in the area, AC in the room was old and hard to start, fan speed can not be regulated. The room was clean and we had a good rest (after the ac problems). The staff was not unfriendly but seemed a bit demotivated. Breakfast was okay.

Weak internet, strange shower. Can be a bit noisy at times, usually when you want to sleep. You can hear your neighbors through the vents. Otherwise, clean and comfortable.

Great breakfast. Good location but not near the beach. A bit expensive, but I guess all hotel are during July. Clean rooms and a beautiful roof poolbar-restaurant. The food in the restaurant is tasty and not expensive (30 euros for a starter, 2 main dishes and 2 cokes).

Good value if under $120. Great views and breakfast buffet! On the negative side, it’s way up on a hill, roads not easily walkable and the road surface very rough for most small cars. Cannot describe how mush i felt like this was too much for me. I felt real luxury every time i set foot here, rooms were amazing and were really comfortable. If i ever come back to kalamata i will definitely consider this place again.

One note: the vegan savoury options were rather limited and most of the bread selection had milk in it, but there were still plenty of vegan options. Decent service, good wifi, this hotel has a great view of Kalamata air conditioning and a fan are available too. The problem is the rooms weren't that good themselves; nothing fascinating to be honest. Some outdoor chairs were unstable and the bathroom was horrible. It is ok to stay there for a few days but not any longer.

Oh this place is just wonderful! It is walking distance to restaurants and other food places. The staff are just so friendly and go over the top for you, will call you a taxi, recommend places, help you take your suitcases around. For a 2 star hotel, it is absolutely AMAZING. We got a nice room on the third floor overlooking the messinian golf. Our stay was really pleasant and staff was very helpful! Except from a few details such as that the window lock was not working and we had a narrow shower space this hotel’s experience was above a two star hotel and recommended.

I stayed here for 1 night last month following my arrival to Greece for an archaeological excavation program. The staff were incredibly helpful and hospitable, and even arranged a taxi for me the next morning! I wish I could have stayed longer, but I am so glad that I now know of a great place to stay the next time I am in Kalamata.

The place looks a bit worn down, but we had a nice big room for 4 adults at a good price. It has a central location with the city center a few minutes away on foot. Very friendly staff that made us feel welcome.
