The beach is lovely and the fact it's right by the hotel is a good selling point. The pool area is nice but looks like it will be busy in high season. Overall, not a 4 star, definitely 3

Enough choice from the buffet and quality is good. The dinner buffet is nothing like that. Grecotel charges €30,- a person per dinner buffet

I stepped on it, and it broke, which led to me falling and fracturing my toe! They need to fix and exchange the weathered plastic to metal

You will find a well organised beach with sun beds and umbrellas and enjoy the beautiful sea of Kalamata

A very inviting and pleasant place, the rooms are spacious and there is a balcony. The hotel is very clean and tidy. The pool is very large and clean. A big disadvantage is the depth of the pool is impossible to stand

Nice rooms, comfortable beds, gorgeous pool area and friendly staff. Beach chairs and service available, and is 5-10 min away from other restaurants and beach locations and chairs. They also have a wonderful masseuse

One of the best choices when staying in Kalamata! Close to the centre (3-5 min by car) and with big parking area. The bungalow room we stayed was spacious and with the nice mountain view from the balcony

We stayed in a unit that split into two smaller rooms: a room like a saloon with an additional sofa bed and a sleeping room with a double bed; a small corridor connected these rooms with a bathroom with a shower

However, the breakfast could use more variety. To access the sea, you can either cross the road or use an elevator provided to get to the other side. You can also enjoy snacks like club sandwiches or salads

Receptionists were always very kind and available to call us taxis anytime we needed (the hotel is located at approx 12-15€ taxi ride from Kalamata)

I highly recommend this secluded hotel, which offers access to a pool with a lifeguard and a very quiet private beach. The hotel also features a breakfast, a restaurant, and a beach bar by the sea

The Akti Taygetos Resort is located a 20-minute drive from Kalamata. You can also take a taxi to get there, but renting a car is recommended for easier travel around the area

We took a lot the taxi to go to Kalamata and they always phone for us in Greek, very helpful ! The room was very big and clean, bed confortable, sheets changed every day, amazing view on the sea and Kalamata city

Break fast was super, a lot of different food and preparations, always very fresh. The pool is big and at a nice temperature, calm atmosphere, ideal to have a break in our stressful lives

I stayed in Messinian Bay Hotel for 7 nights with my partner. The Staff were very nice and helpful, they know a lot about the local activities and good prices

Very nice, clean rooms - wonderful view! The staff is really lovely and helpful- Breakfast was basic but good, the beach is right opposite, the hotel will give you towels (for a small fee)

Close to a lot of cafes, restaurants and mini markets. The city centre is a short taxi ride away (or 30 min walk) - all in all,quite a lovely place to start a Greek holiday

Amazing hotel with great service from the front desk. Close to everything except old town but not the biggest deal

Great customer service and a high-end atmosphere all around. The hotel is in a very good location and has a restaurant inside but there is a lot of things to do around. The views from the balcony are quite good as well!

Great place to be in Kalamata. Excellent view over the harbour and into the mountains... Hendrick's Gin with cucumber as in Hamburg and Düsseldorf. Food is great! Simply enjoy!

Location great close to centre of Kalamata. Room spotlessly clean beds exceptionally comfortable with fabulous bathroom /wet room. Breakfast brilliant caters for everyone

We had sodas by the magnificent pool (they serve cocktails if you like). There are 2 lovely banquette rooms near the pool. It would be fantastic to have a wedding reception at this place. I would go back in a heartbeat!

Great views and breakfast buffet! On the negative side, it’s way up on a hill, roads not easily walkable and the road surface very rough for most small cars

The breakfast is good and in a room with yet another beautiful view of the bay and the city. It does have a steep access but,the front desk person came out to help with luggage without my asking

Cannot describe how mush i felt like this was too much for me. I felt real luxury every time i set foot here, rooms were amazing and were really comfortable

The room is new, modern and clean with a nice comfortable bed and a wonderful view of the bay during the day and the city lights at night

Breakfast is also served on your private Terras and The area is very quite so perfect for people who want to rest and charge up their batteries. If we are in the area again i would definitely book again at this hotel

The character of the establishment is unique with each room decorated in elegant furnishings. Hosts Nicolas and Marina prepare hand made marmalade and other local delicacies and attend each guest from their arrival

Inexpensive hotel at the beach of Kalamata city. Small but cleans rooms, pretty nice sea view. Central location, many entertainment options at the area.

We had the room on the first floor and next to the road. Between then road and the church bells, it was really noisy. Breakfast is OK, with bread, croissants, muesli and some fruit

Location is on the beach but far from the centre

Lovely venue I got talking to the gardener. Randomly had a very long conversation. Later on in the afternoon he was still working there. I asked him if he was not tired. He was elderly type gentleman

Very fine resort with access to the beach, excellent restaurant. Secure, private, quiet, away from city center. To go anywhere you need to walk or have a car.

The breakfast buffet is fine, just what you can expect from an included breakfast. The location of the hotel is a bit far from the city centre, but for the money you can't complain

The staff were always very helpful, especially Christina on the front desk who organised us for restaurant suggestions, several taxis and a car hire when no other service providers were able to on short notice

Stunning view, amazing staff, excellent breakfast. One note: the vegan savoury options were rather limited and most of the bread selection had milk in it, but there were still plenty of vegan options

My family and I stayed here for a week and it was an amazing place. The morning buffet was always well presented and generous portions

I don't know about the rooms as I haven't rented here. Hiwever, I was told it's a very luxurious hotel, but even tho it was really nice, I've been in hotels that felt way more luxury than this one

Good standard...climate system...view on sea...practicable rooms...prices for double 45, single 30 at end of june is ok!...polite service...location near the beach ok...a little noise from street but in night ok...

Decent service, good wifi, this hotel has a great view of Kalamata air conditioning and a fan are available too. The problem is the rooms weren't that good themselves; nothing fascinating to be honest

Some outdoor chairs were unstable and the bathroom was horrible. It is ok to stay there for a few days but not any longer

Rooms and premises are ok if you're not too picky or too "vanilla". The location is great since it's just 6 meters from the beach and away from bars (so it's quiet enough)

It could be cleaner but that does not include the bathroom and bed which (which are very clean)

The food is well and it seems that staff cares more than enough about its guests. The hospitality is beyond amazing. As a young entrepreneur, I have found a room on the upper room a perfect place to work and relax

This hotel is essentially a masterpiece of neo-Balkan architecture. The tiles on the floor seem to be in diagonal shape, which is quite amazing

We just visited the beach in front of the hotel, took a swim and had some coffee and drinks at the beach. Great, friendly and fast service. Good prices.
