Akti Beach Club Hotel

Once again back at home!! I've been here for the last 12years, I still love this hotel and the staff with their smiling faces, hard workers, but always ready to serve us. The entertainment team is always top-notch and very active. The food is fantastic, Mr. Christos and the new restaurant manager are always there to solve any issues. The drinks are good, I've already been in other hotels with the same cocktails. Lacking premium whiskey and ciders, but we will survive I'm happy to see Costa and Jiani again in the bars, some new faces, like the bar manager, who is always complaining and screaming at the staff in front of the long queues every night, not good ... For those who complain about the inappropriate stars of this hotel, I tell them that if you wanna feel posh, you have to dig deeper in your pocket 😉 Once again back at home

just back from a 2 week family holiday, 2 adults, 1 teenager a 14 year old boy, very relaxing & very chilled, the rooms were a decent size although the bathroom needed an upgrade, balcony a good size, beds were very comfortable & the cleaners were in everyday the kids pool was decent but a bit too much going on for us so we spent most of our time by the main pool which was excellent, no sunbed olympics here so long as your not turning up at daft o`clock you will get a sunbed no problem the entertainment team tried their best, Omar was the stand out one for me, very approachable & very friendly the rest i never really noticed but as i said we only had a few days at the kids pool so maybe that was on us the beach is great to look at & provided you invest in sea shoes and your willing to take your life into your own hands its fine, once you get far enough out past the rocks its ok, they put sandbags down halfway through our stay which helped we never bothered the staff too much but the ones we dealt with were very helpful & friendly & we were allowed to keep our room on till 6 on the last day which was much needed due to the heat, although we paid 75 euro for the privalage loads to choose from in the buffet restraunt but it was carnage if you went at the wrong time like most all inclusive hotels weve stayed at the shuttle bus into town was spot on always on time & never a problem The beer was standard & the wine was good in my opinion, prosecco & spirits were all good no real issues with the drinks the only downside was the night time entertainment it was basically non existant and that forced us into Kardemena more times than we wanted to go which meant we spent more than we wanted to spend which wasnt ideal, the main bar got busy but there was no attempt to make you stay and enjoy yourself, 4 massive TVs inside & out but we never saw them switched on once, just a bit of music was all that was needed in summary, this is a good hotel but it could be better, the beach bar needs a bit of attention that could be a big asset with not a lot of work & maybe bring in a local act once or twice a week or even a local DJ as it stands right now this isnt the place for you if you have teenage kids, there is literally nothing on site for them to do at night other than the lack of night time entertainment i could not really fault this hotel, the mountain views are stunning & i wouldnt hesitate to recomend it

I had a deep tissue massage with Panos, it's the best massage I've ever had, I would say go for it.. the therapist is professional, he made me feel comfortable from the first moment.

This was a return visit to the Akti beach club & once again we stayed in the adult only Kalimera section with a shared pool. We were pleased to see that the high standards we experienced on our last visit were evident this time. A daily maid service was provided, although on a couple of days we declined due to sleeping in late. Fresh towels were available daily from reception so next time we visit we know not to pack as many beach towels. I enjoyed the buffet food, plenty of choice with salads, cheeses, hot dishes, fruit & deserts. If I could recommend one improvement regarding the restaurant area, it would be to provide ice. Sometimes the draught drinks weren't very cold & the glasses were red hot having just come out of the dish washer. Also, I think for AI plus, it would be nice if milkshakes/slushies/ freshly squeezed juices were available, even if there was a small charge for these. I don't drink alcohol & it would have been a nice change from pepsi or orange & maybe a healthier choice for kids. The accommodation was ok, but for me the icing on the cake was the terrace area which was well furnished with sunbeds, table, chairs & a clothes airer. It was spacious & clean & was the reason we picked the Akti Kalimera apartments. The pool itself was big enough to share between the small apartment block & was a welcome relief from the heat. I'd like to suggest the pools get cleaned a bit more frequently, as our pool was a bit grubby round the edges, but this was probably due to sun cream the guests wear. The barmaid in the adult only bar was very friendly & pleasant & worked very hard with a smile on her face. The complimentary bus into Kardenia was handy, it would be worth perhaps offering the service until at least midnight as its very difficult to get a taxi at night. All in all, a very pleasant holiday, thank you to all the Akti staff once again.

We stayed in the new Kalimera adult section and it was wonderful. So peaceful with its own pools and beach area away from the main hustle and bustle. It was the best of both worlds because we could relax in quiet during the day and then walk over to the main hotel for the evening entertainment which was always fun The room was clean and modern. My only tip is bring water shoes for the beach as its pebbles getting in but sandy once you are past them. A really great holiday

- Firstly a very special shout out and thank you to Elton and Rosita in the restaurant or always looking after us, they both work very hard and go above and beyond to make sure guests are happy and tables are kept clean and tidy, they are an absolute credit to the hotel. - Location - Akti Beach Club was only about 20 minutes away from the airport via coach transfer. - Grounds - beautifully maintained gardens. Hotel reception and staff - plenty of space in here tho not very well air conditioned and we occasionally noticed a strange fishy smell. We found the reception staff helpful but not particularly friendly. - Our room - we stayed in a suite with direct access to a shared pool which was absolutely lovely and we also had our own sunloungers and parasols which were definitely a bonus. The ladders into the pool were in a poor state of repair for a few days tho these did get fixed. The furnishings were modern with plenty of storage space for clothes etc. The room was cleaned and sheets changed daily. The bathroom was adequate but could do with being updated as we noticed some stains and signs of wear around the sink area and the shower head didn't fit in the bracket above so we had to use the shower head manually which wasn't a major issue but would be better of the fitting worked properly. - Food and drink - all meals were buffet style, always plenty of choice tho some food was often not very warm. We loved the Chinese section each night and the freshly made pizzas were amazing. Cocktails at the bar were disappointing, we tried them twice but as they are ready made we didnt think they were nice at all so we stuck with the branded stuff. Plenty of choice of soft drinks and juices and also beer and wine. - Beach - lovely tho there are a few pebbles in the entrance to the sea so recommend suitable beach footwear. - entertainment - we didn't bother with this but there is an entertainments program both day and night. There is a dedicated animation pool where they have music playing and games. - free shuttle bus into Kardamena was good, worth a trip, only takes 10 minutes each way. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Akti Beach and will be back sometime in the future.

Very good manager that solved our problem with rooms ( 2 rooms not close to ech other for one family - 4 small children and 2 adults) . Excellent food, clean rooms, clean pools and small cute beach. Really recommend this hotel!

Mixed bag really - very positive is the staff who are lovely and try to help as much as they can. We stayed in the all inclusive plus adult side. Nice restaurant and no kids. Rooms were adequate and air con works. The sun lounges need some work / they are old and also could do with a clean (brown stains on a lot of them) Pool is quite cold , but it is the start of the season. The beach - forget it , it is sand (rough) and single and you need to climb over very slippery rocks to enter the sea. My only real annoyance (and that of other guests) is the rip off 50 euro charge if you want to extend your check out. We did encounter an issue with the ‘international drinks’. We had to insist on ‘Gordon’s Gin’ as they always wanted to pour the local stuff. But we only saw Baileys and Gordon’s - everything else was local. We enjoyed our week, but for us it’s one and done.
