Akti Beach Club

We started coming to Kos in 1996. We still come back. In 2020 the hotel we usually stay at closed so we came here.

We have returned three times and all I can say is it is what a fantastic place.

The animation team are fantastic.
The bar staff fantastic. The
Maids kept our room spotless and the receptionists are so polite and helpful.
The bus into town is punctual and very handy
I will dare yogi to .not be impressed with the whole hotel. Ultra clean, food is so
Good and drinks are great.

Tonight the show put on was the best and I would recommend anyone comes to this beautiful place and enjoys their holiday. I wish we could stay longer. Two weeks of pure happiness and fun.

We had a lovely week here at the beginning of October. We stayed in the adults only section with a shared pool. The room was quite small and dated and had a bit of a musty smell when we arrived like it had been shut up for some time. The shared pool area was a little bleak but it was nice to have a quiet space for sunbathing and a dip when we wanted it (although we didn’t get much sun there). We were very close to the inside bar and the adults only restaurant which we liked. The food was lovely and we really can’t complain about the quality, especially for all inclusive. We did find it quite strange that you have to book to eat in the main restaurant as if it’s a different hotel! The entertainment was very hit and miss throughout the week. The hotel is not near anything walking distance but the free bus in to Kardamena is a good way to get out and about, although we had trouble getting this as people just show up and push their way to the front. The drinks are all branded which is a nice perk in all inclusive hotels. The staff are very friendly and attentive in the adults only restaurant, this is not so much the case in the main reception. We had a lovely, relaxing week here and it looks as though it’s great for families, not sure we would revisit though. Overall, it’s a nice hotel, we have stayed in far better and we have stayed in far worse. And I always say, your worst day in Greece is better than a good day anywhere else!!

Great hotel - This hotel, whilst a little out of town is lovely and spacious, low rise buildings and large grassed areas make this space feel bigger than it is. Great setting , right next to the beach which is a great for fish spotting (they like bread) We stayed as a family of 6 , 2 adults in the adults area and a family room, both rooms had loads of space, the adults only much smaller but was right outside a shared pool. The food here is plentiful, but if your going for just pizza and chips style food this place isn't for you, although the fresh pizza is one of the best I've had, it's much more about fresh fish ,meats, amazing salads and greak food. The staff here work so hard , the animation team make a genuine effort to get to know you and are on the go all day and night , the shows at night are great as are the cocktails :) Take a refillable beaker for the drinks as cocktails in a paper cup are a no from me.The bar man at the entertainment pool whist firstly appears frostey is the most authentic man we have met , such a lovely guy who can't do enough for you. Summing this place up - great rooms ,great food , great staff - would defo go again , ignore the negatives reviews and get this booked !!!

We stayed in Akti Beach Club this October and everyone was really welcoming, the hotel was clean and had lots of facilities, food was good and the private beach is a plus! The entertainment for the kids and teenagers was consistent with something always on throughout the day and the entertainers were really good at their jobs, especially David, he was so kind and friendly.

This hotel is split into 2sections adult only and family .we stayed in adult only but could eat in the main restaurant as well as are own smaller one .food was plentiful and of a good quality great fish restaurant which was a la carte and bookable free once per stay .drinks were good some famous brands but mainly local but these were good as well .we had a shared pool and a lovely room with modern bathroom and excellent staff cleaning it every day .it really was exceptionally clean but to be honest the whole hotel was spotless.pool man cleaned the pools at 7 am and on windy days came back and redid if leaves were floating.wonderful holiday well done akti beach

Staying here for a week at the end of October. I was a little nervous having read some reviews but there was no need. We arrived late on the evening to find our room had been upgraded to a room with a shared pool, this came with a mini bar that was replenished daily. The staff at this hotel are one of the friendliest I’ve experienced, from cleaners to restaurant staff, everyone said hello and went out their way to help. Some of the hotel is a little run down, and could do with a facelift, especially sun loungers need replacing, a lot of them were broken or uncomfortable. We never had an issue finding loungers around the pool or beach. If you visit in October though be aware that the pool is absolutely freezing, nearly unbearable. The sea was warmer!! There was a good selection of food in the restaurant, I’m a picky eater but always had plenty to choose, always Chinese noodles, rice and mini spring rolls, a variety of bbq meat, either ribs, kebabs or gyros each night. Then the usual selection of fish, vegetables, meat in sauces etc. Not to forget the freshly made pizza always available. Desserts weren’t the best, but the ice cream cone was always a winner. The snack bar by the beach was made to order, with burgers, hotdogs and chips available; the chips were lush! Plenty drinks to choose from, our favourites were the Rose wine, strawberry daiquiri, baileys and peach schnapps and lemonade. You can help yourself to soft drinks so I’d recommend taking your own thermos cups to refill. Obviously have to mention the brilliant animation team and the evening entertainment, great for kids and adults. There’s a little supermarket next door with some tourist bits, inflatables and snacks, it’s cheaper here than the hotel shop. We also got the shuttlebus into town one day and had a walk along the harbour, had brunch and went in the tourist shops that sell jewellery, momentos, bags etc. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend.

The staff were very friendly. Animation team were amazing and made our children have the best time playing mini golf, boccia, tennis football and many more. David and Maya were the favoured ones especially in the kids club. Kevin by far the best dancer we have seen. We had our room cleaned daily. Located not far from the animation pool and a bar, food available at all times. Fresh towels daily for the pool. The music didn't ever go past midnight and the shows were very entertaining especially the variety show about the banana! Shuttle into kardamena was regular enough and the on-site shop was reasonably priced. We would definitely stay again if not just for the aquagym! Sunshine for me sunshine for you still plays in my head daily! Thank you for a wonderful holiday x

Another gorgeous trip to Akti Beach a short ride from Kardamena. Weather perfect, food perfect, room perfect very close to adults only restaurant and poolside sunbathing ❤️ Good entertainment and the Mermaid seafood restaurant was as delicious and as efficiently served as last year's taster menu Holiday superstars were Anja in Guest Relations for her communication and organisation and Stavriana and the entertainment bar staff for their friendliness and efficiency in keeping an often relentless number of guests hydrated Also the entire kitchen staff for their prep and delivery, but in particular the lad on the pasta station who cooked some delicious pasta mmmmm Also thank you for the beautifully cooked and presented whole salmon which was the best salmon I've tasted ❤️ The next night there was an amazing salmon quiche topped with eggs and some delicious cheese and finally fennel- this was a revelation as I hate and detest fennel but OMG this was the best quiche I've tasted Thank you again and see you again ❤️

Positives first
We were in a suite with an upstairs downstairs and it was immaculate, cleaned everyday and the air con worked fab.
The view was just beautiful and we got to hear the entertainment at night from our balcony watching the sunset.
There was a whole variety of food for breakfast lunch and dinner which meant most days the kids and adults were happy.
Drinks are good measures 😂 too good maybe haha.
The animator team are just awesome! My 4yr old son can be very challenging and they kept him entertained no problem, he fell in love with Miguel and Kevin and was so sad to leave them!! I'll be singing the sunshine song for the foreseeable!
Plenty shaded areas for the kids, lots of shallow kids pools and snacks ice cream served throughout the day for them.
The staff can never do enough for you apart from the old grumpy man who serves on the bar at the animator pool! Which brings us onto the negatives .... this man is so rude and grumpy it actually made us switch what pool we sat at because no one wanted to ask him for drinks, he huffed and puffed at us every time we asked for a drink, and God forbid you ask him if he was having a cigarette! I got my drinks slammed on the bar!
The hotel shop is quite expensive but we found the shop down by the beach to be much more affordable so started using that.
The drinks machines kept going out of order so had to walk up and down the dining room to find one that worked.
But honestly they are the only negatives I could pick out of our 2weeks there.

All in all it was a fabulous resort and we will most definitely be back!
