Akti Palace Hotel

Just came back from a great week at Akti Palace. Arrived mid evening to a glass of Prosecco, the staff were very welcoming. We had a deluxe suite, it was very large and modern. Cleaned every day and mini bar stocked every day if needed. Only downsides were that the bathroom could do with an update, and glass doors replaced for privacy. However, the room was great and A/C worked very well. Food was surprisingly good for an all inclusive, lots of different options and the a la carte restaurant were great. Slight downsides however were 1) plates could be cleaned better; 2) service very slow for hot drinks in the morning, would be better if there was just a coffee machine. Pool and beach were amazing, really relaxing locations, never had to fight for a sunbed and always available throughout the day. Snack bar served amazing gyros every day. Drinks were OK, cocktails were nice but pre-made and unlikely to give you a buzz. Great transport links into Kardamena, and can get a bus to Kos Town for less than €5 one-way. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely return.

I would like to make an amendment to my last comment. I have very recently discovered that some popular intentionational spirits are available including Bacardi and Vodka , hence they can also provide excellent cocktails.
A whisky is available that is of good taste and 40% alc I really liked as a whisky drinker.

Tonight I visited their select Greek fish restaurant .
I asked for their best red wine but it was only 12.5 percent alcohol and tasted ok but weak in alcohol.
My first course was ok as a starter consisting of olives , a seeded bread stick and various dip.

The second course was a salad of what seemed like red cabbage , grated carrot , red onion and another and lettuce !!. and muscles, something I don’t like. Another plate contained tomato, cucumber and feta cheese

Then came another course of lobster tail, scallap and red cabbage. Only problem was that I had no clue how to eat the lobster. As an inexperienced lobster eater this posed difficulties and very messy. By this time I had lost interest in the whole Greek fish meal experience, so much so that I walked out of the restaurant and went back to the main buffet restaurant where I was guaranteed to get a good meal.
I may have been wrong with my action but I was definitely wrong with my expectation of my experience for the Greek fish restaurant experience. Very likely I will cancel my bookings for the Chinese restaurant and Asian meal restaurant, I don’t want to have the same feeling. Again , maybe a wrong choice but my heart tells me it is the right choice. The main restaurant has some great food choices to my liking. I think I have been spoilt by my wife’s beautiful authentic Japanese meals.

On the plus side , today I was given a bigger room with a sea view and most importantly a bathtub . I am pleased to say the hotel management do their best to help customers get the best out of their holiday, I just think there could be a slight improvement i.e to also have a real ale beer available and not just lager, well that is my dream we can all have a dream !?

Just ate in the fish restaurant 19.09.24 can't praise it enough. George the host was super friendly and professional. The food was outstanding. All in a very laid back atmosphere with the personnel touch. Thankyou Akti palace.

My family (all 16 of us, 12 adults & 4 children) loved it here.

4 couples were able to get our rooms altogether on the ground floor apartments so we had a pool to ourselves that the rest of the family in the same block could use.

Selection of food was yummy and the children enjoyed the kids entertainment in the evening over the sister site (Akti Beach Club)

Also the hotel kindly booked us into their smaller dining restaurants, Greek and fish, around 6 plates each - we were very full!

Beach activities are included (expect extreme like parasailing, they are at an additional cost). Check weather before booking as if it is too windy then it will have to be arranged a different day.

Great hotel, and excellent choice of food throughout the day. I personally don't think our room was 5* - no water a couple of nights for shower and walk-in shower didn't drain very eell.
Beds were lovely and clean and mini bar refilled everyday. Unfortunately I hurt my back whilst there so went for a massage which was so nice and did help me. I would recommend hotel to friends but I would rate it as a 4*.

Our stay was incredible! The rooms were spacious and sparkling clean. The staff were very friendly and the facilities of the hotel amazing! Altogether a very pleasant atmosphere with amazing facilities!

I just want to pinpoint how amazing the staff is and how they go above and beyond to ensure guests are truly having a wonderful time - animation, bar, restaurant, front desk, cleaning staff - all amazing, taking their work seriously. Lots of facilities/activities, one cannot get bored.

Rated 4* plus in brochure but charged 5* tax at hotel, believe it's a 4* myself, furniture everywhere needs an upgrade, staff can't do enough for you especially Mohamed at the pool bar always got a smile and very polite, it's a fair walk from restaurant to pool so could do with a few random benches for the people with walking difficulties, food was very good with snacks all through the night and mini bar in room topped up every day free of charge, couldn't fault the cleanliness of our room, towels changed every day and beds changed frequently, would definitely go back, one main complaint the female lifeguard was never at her post either walking the complex, in the pool bar or chatted to the beach towel attendant, when the male lifeguard was on duty he never left his post, my husband even took him some water as the weather was extremely hot and he sat there all day, evening entertainment fair but Wednesday night very good 3 male singers, overall service in hotel was ran excellently

Great place staff very friendly good food in main restaurant and pool bar.
But... room fridge wasnt topped up every day, we had to ring reception, also there should have been more soft drink and larger put in (only 2 of each), also they should do more of kids food daily at pool bar and main restaurant, have a better choice of drinks not just cocktails and put in bigger glasses not small paper cups.

Nice relaxing stay here this summer. Is it 5 stars by worldwide standards? No, but it was clean, the food available was plentiful and the drinks kept flowing. The entertainment is usually live music by the pool bar, with snacks available there too. Overall a pleasant stay. The area itself is quiet, but this is what we were looking for.
