Marilisa Hotel

The word that comes to mind after staying at Marilisa is "Home"... and this helps us understand the judgment based on our experience and, above all, on what we seek. We're not talking about luxury hotels, cutting-edge technology, or special services; we're talking about hospitality, courtesy, and excellent quality. The staff is perfect: empathetic, friendly, and welcoming, Nikos above all. Traditional buffet cuisine, comfortable and clean rooms, very "Greek" in appearance, and the sea view was relaxing and captivating (in our case). The location is convenient for visiting various towns, attractions, and sites. Far from the west coast, but not too far, Crete is large, and the choice must be either to return or stay in different places to reduce travel. We traveled 1,000 km in 8 days, but obviously we missed a lot. Kokkini is an excellent compromise, very close to a large supermarket and several very characteristic restaurants, as well as a beautiful bar and several souvenir shops. 10 minutes from Heraklion Airport.

Great hotel and service – we really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and the friendly, helpful staff. The pool was excellent, and the beach was just a short walk away. The food could be improved, but it didn’t ruin the experience. It was also convenient that the city center could be easily reached by public transport. Overall, a pleasant and relaxing stay.

Came for 4 weeks into our last week now , all the staff are very good and will help you as much as they can, the rooms are big and clean they clean every day, the outside is also nice and clean, the service is very good all the staff never stop and for the price we paid for 4 weeks half board is good value for money, only a stone’s throw from the beach and you can use the facilities of their sister hotel a couple of hundred yards away, nice pool to keep you cool on an hot day, nice bar with good service, good atmosphere the staff really do work and help each other, plenty of sun loungers with comfortable cushions we would definitely come back here.

We were very satisfied,the servise was very good and all the employeers very nice. We can recommend the hotel to tourists traveling to Crete. We hope to return to this country some time in the future. We also appreciate Greek food which is very good and healthy.

Great experience all in all. The staff is very friendly, welcoming and always helpful. The food in the evening was very delicious and we appreciated that each evening there was something new to taste. We found that having a room by the pool is generally more quiet that a road one. The sea is very very close, 2 mins away - just take the small path that is behind the hotel (building 2) and take a right and a left and you are there.

Very chilled hotel, we were here for 10 days. Quiet time of year, very chilled, got lots of rest, hotel staff were lovely, good sized rooms, beds comfy. Close to the beach and local cafes and bars, supermarket. Rooms cleaned every day, food also very nice. Lots of variety at dinner time. Local buses every 25mins to take you to Herkalion, Hersonissos, Malia. Id defo recommend the hotel if your after a chilled relaxing holiday. We really enjoyed our time here.

Really cute hotel, with a very family atmosphere. Really very nice staff, and the rooms are big and clean! You really feel very comfortable! The only drawback is that you can hear the arriving planes, especially at night.
