We enjoyed relaxing around the main pool area on very comfy loungers and the lovely sandy beach is just in front of the Hotel. Entertainment was really good with something different on each evening

This hotel has the most stunning setting of any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The main pool is especially gorgeous. Their all-inclusive meals were high quality and dining room service was great

We did get upgraded to a suite with a swim-up pool attached to our terrace, which was lovely. This was a nice place to bring our toddler. It felt family-friendly but sophisticated, too

Wonderful hotel everything we needed. Bar staff was especially lovely and cheerful. And also always arrive to provide wide range of drinks non alcoholic for me and good variety of alcoholic for my partner

We couldn’t check in until an hour after check-in time which was slightly inconvenient; looking back, it would’ve been helpful to unwind somewhere on the property and get a text when our room was ready

In the right part of the hotel beach there is another beach that is protected by some micro islands from the big waves. The water is shallow which makes it perfect for small children

A cleaner even opened the door while we were inside, despite the “Do Not Disturb” sign being on. I had also booked a sea-view room but was given one with a palm-tree view instead. With these issues, I wouldn’t come back

Only (very small) disclaimer was the Sounds of the Planes due to the proximity of the Airport. We highly recommend to book a room with a Cabana - it's absolutely worth every Cent!

George an Lavrendis are the best in the Hotel, they are so polite and have a good sense of humor. Hotel has a greatlocation, just by the perfect beach. Waterpark and Heraklion are also closed

The beach next to the hotel is clean (there are enough sun loungers and umbrellas). The great advantage of the hotel is its location (a few minutes by bus to Heraklion)

We really enjoyed staying here. The views are amazing and it was great being so close to the sea, literally just down the steps

It was 30 degrees plus when we were there so it's a relief to have the sea breeze and to be able to cool off in the waves

We decided that if we came to stay here for a couple of nights we wanted a nice accommodation. We booked a Junior Suite with the most amazing Sea Views

It is a good choice if you want to save a bit of money as the “actual” hotel is a couple minutes away by foot. They connect along the “beach” path which is nice and you have full access to their amenities

The only complaint is that I wouldn’t really consider it a beach hotel, the building is overlooking the water but there isn’t any access to the water and to find sand you’ll have to walk quite a bit

The personnel is very friendly. The location of the hotel is ideal. They let us extend our stay until our plane left. We have nothing but gratitude for everyone who works at the hotel. They help you with excursions.

Tea, coffee, continental meats, cheese, pastries, yoghurt, honey, bread, toaster, greek salad all very tasty. We would definitely stay here again. A cheap supermarket to the left of the accommodation

Sun loungers on the balcony, hairdryer and a bathroom with a large walk in shower. Pay the extra for the Junior Suite and you won't be disappointed. The breakfast was a traditional Greek Breakfast

Kokkini is an excellent compromise, very close to a large supermarket and several very characteristic restaurants, as well as a beautiful bar and several souvenir shops. 10 minutes from Heraklion Airport

This place is family run by some wonderful people. They were a joy to interact with. It's budget friendly which is a blessing when traveling with a strict budget. I would definitely stay here again

Quiet small hotel across the road from the sea. Without any frills, for a relaxing family holiday. The rooms have a kitchen with the necessary minimum of dishes

The splash park is really good, I’m not sure why it doesn’t open until 11am though. The bars are great and lovely sitting areas too. We went to afew of the entertainment nights. The Acrobats night was our favourite

There only ever seemed to be 10-15 out each time where there’s 100s of plates so I found myself asking for one or waiting for a restock. The hotel definitely needs more out available. Staff are friendly and polite

It’s was you expect from an all inclusive holiday. Same with the drinks! I bought coke from the shop as there’s wasn’t the best! FYI I didn’t see nuggets once in my whole stay. The restaurant is absolutely crazy

Pizza, Gyros and Burgers were delicious! The only annoying thing is when people jump in instead of queuing like everyone else but this isn’t the hotels fault. We stopped in a family room which was big and clean

It’s busy and LOUD and all the noise from the chairs is frustrating! They could do with putting pads on them to avoid all the squeaking. The thing that annoyed me the most was the BOWLS

You can’t get anymore water for free and will have to pay however, I took stainless steel bottles with me and was able to fill these up from different places throughout the day

All pools are available to everyone (with the exception of the private pools) , so we enjoyed using the roof top pool on a few occasions as well. The layout of this hotel means that it all feels spread out

Had an amazing time at this hotel. We arrived last Monday and our room was in the newer side. Right next to a pool so perfect for us. It’s a small hotel which suited us down to the ground

This is not a major issue but during the day when you have been in the pool you cannot go inside to get a drink which leaves you stuck. The staff are absolutely wonderful and really made our trip

The hotel has a good location next to a nice sandy beach, the hotel itself is tired and in need of maintenance and updating

In addition, there is a bar next to the pool that is closed during the day and when it opens at night is only a paid bar so you have to walk to the lobby bar to get a drink

The hotel is right next to the beach and short walk along the beachfront from the main road which has excellent restaurants and shops

The food was amazing and although some items were repetitive, they tasted so good that we honestly didn’t mind eating some things more than once. There were a number of options that were new every night so it was great

The rooms are very dated and the furniture was damaged which led to myself and my son begging splinters from the broken wood. This is not a major issue as we did not spend much time there so we did not raise anything

The restaurant staff were helpful and the manager was exceptional. The beach was super clean, with plenty of sunbeds and a safe, enjoyable environment for the kids

The animation team was fantastic – plenty of activity programs during the day and great themed evening shows at their dedicated theater. There are many pools, all in excellent condition and very well maintained

5 minutes walking to lovely shops, supermarkets, bars, tavernas & nightlife if you wish to boogie. The apartments provide facilities for cooking. Hower I took advantage of the food on offer at breakfast & dinner

The beach is quite small but just over the road from the hotel. There is a bigger beach just a few minutes walk from the hotel. There are a few bars and restaurants close by

Second up, it's a no flushing loo roll place, which is fairly common but worth noting as most of the 2 bed suites only have one bathroom

Good hotel We had a really lovely stay at the Diogenis Blue Palace 💙 The hotel is clean, comfortable and well located. The manager, Ilyas, is extremely friendly, kind and always helpful — he makes everyone feel welcome

It was also great that sunbeds were available for free both by the pool and on the beach - but the amount is not sufficient

The hotel has a great pool, although it can be sometimes busy, but the beach is also just across the road from the hotel with dedicated area for the hotel guests

The pools were renovated and look amazing!! There aren't enough sunbeds for everyone and many guests seem to "reserve" sunbeds by simply placing their towels on top for the whole day

If anyone is actually reading this review, I would propose to place a sign that sunbeds can't be reserved. Not everyone is there at the same time. Another splution could be baskets for towels and personal belongings

Add a basket near each umbrella, if the sunbeds aren't occupied but there are towels and personal things on them, people can put them in the basket and use the sunbeds

Overall I would recommend the hotel and the whole experience. It is a very beautiful hotel, the beach was wonderful and so was the surrounding area

Put up a sign explaining the purpose of the baskets and that sunbeds cannot be reserved. The staff in the whole hotel was extremely friendly, understanding and competent

Cozy hotel in a huge area, beautiful garden with palm trees. Directly on the seafront promenade. 100 m from the wide sandy beach, from the center ca. 1500 meters away.

We had two bathrooms, which was awesome and also a partial sea view which we wasn't expecting. Unfortunately there is a downside to the rooms and that is the paper thin walls

They explained everything to us and were very helpful! We stayed in room 152 which was above the Filamena restaurant. The room was very spacious with the teenagers one end and the adults at the other

Was aware of tourist room tax but the price in perk season has been hiked up to 10 euros per night per room which I found expensive on top of what you have already paid for

This disco in the bar next to the Mediterra was a laugh and this starts a little bit after the entertainment. The beach is opposite the hotel and seemed very clean and the water was calm

Returned to vacation at Stella Palace after two years, the vacation as usual was perfect, we arrived 3 families with children who were in the water park all day. Always treats of ice cream and soft drinks around the pool

Again we could not fault the food for breakfast, lunch and dinner there is plenty to choose from and if you would like a change they also have 4 onsite restaurants that are also included in your all inclusive package

We recently celebrated my 40th birthday at Stella Palace with my family and our friends' family, and it was a truly fantastic experience. The hotel has a great atmosphere and is perfect for a group getaway

The dining room is large and luxurious, there is plenty to eat for everyone from adults to children. The water park is huge and there are facilities for everyone

The main dining room had a good variety of food, and the clear allergy signs on each dish made it easy for everyone to find something delicious and safe to eat

I have been to many Tui hotels of the same rating and this one has something special! Manos and Kostas at the pool bar are PHENOMENAL and both truly make the holiday - I really really hope they are here next year for my 30th! Can't rate staff here enough, nothing is too much trouble, Xsnthippi was amazing in releasing tension during my massage. Only niggle is smoking, where some guest are inconsiderate when sunbed are so close

Just got back from a fantastic 2 week holiday at Insula Alba. This Hotel is one of the best hotels we’ve been to in Europe. The Rooms are great and having a swim up pool at the bottom of your sun loungers is top notch

But most of all our pool barman MANOS He was not only great at making any cocktail we asked for but went above and beyond to make us feel special and it actually felt like he was a long time friend

The adults only is fantastic if you are a couple or with friends in search of a high class resort. Nearby Hersonissos with beach bars and restaurants give the area an added value for night life and lunch

The food was absolutely fantastic and had so much choice. We didn’t do much in the evening but there was always some entertainment going on at the pool bar

My only wish is that there is an English speaking channel that isn’t the news or finances! We’ve upgraded to the private terrace again (essence room) - a real sun spot! Nice place to relax. Very close to a reasonable priced beach supermarket. Also toilets are nearby in the restaurant.

We can wholeheartedly recommend booking a half board: it includes a filling English/continental breakfast with instant coffee/tea and a-la-carte dinner priced up to appx. 10 euro, plus a small free dessert
