Location: 80 km from Heraklion airport, in the city of Rethymno.
Consists of one 6-storey building.

Beach: sandy beach, 800 metres from the hotel (3 coastline), sunbeds and umbrellas at the pool are free, on the beach - for an additional fee. The beach is 12 km away.

Great value for money. The breakfast is fine,the staff is nice,if you want to be close to the city centre this is the hotel for you. Around 15min walk to the city beach,but the bus station is really near the hotel so you can go to that or any other beach.
Of course the hotel would use some renovation,but for now we were satisfied with our stay. Keep in mind it's tricky to find parking spot,because of the location of the hotel.
The only thing we were not satisfied with is that the last 2 days AC was really leaking,we've reported but one took any action,not even informed us if anyone is going to fix it.

I made the mistake of not refering to Google Reviews before booking.
The service and employees were kind and the location was great, with a close distance to shops, the old town and the beach.
My room and the other facilities were however in horrendous condition. The ceiling in my room was on the verge of collapsing and dust would spread down to the apartment. I am pretty sure the entire room was water damaged and you could smell the moistness of the wall and ceiling. The bathroom drains were clogged, so showering more than 2 minutes would lead to the drain water spreading all over the bathroom floor. The pool looked like it had not been properly cleaned in months.
I cannot recommend Brascos Hotel to anyone, unfortunately.

Nice breakfast. The rooms are clean but the furniture is a bit old.
Close to the old town and bus station. About 15 minutes walk to the city beach.
Depending on the room location it can be noisy because the main road is right next to the hotel.
Overall would recommend.

Sum-up: Do not go there, their pictures are clearly misleading.

Smells unpleasant directly on the way in the room when you open the door. Towels had aome stains not washed properly and their smell...fresh is something else....Not the best....

This hotel looks good from outside,but inside not so good. Rooms are clean, but old ,you feel like you are in the '80s. In my room the AC was loosing water, the bathroom was always flooded when we shower.
There is a pool, but nobody used it ,is small and not so good looking.

It's a ok place for a short stay. Service is polite and helpful. Rooms are basic, reasonably clean (acceptable level for staying there for three nights) and beds are comfortable. However the hotel needs refurbishment... Immediately. Bathroom was quite a mess. It has been cleaned, there were clean towels and amenities but otherwise it was falling apart. Location is good in terms of the city centre proximity, but horrible for anyone having a light sleep - it's just next to a busy intersection and a basketball court. Breakfasts were basic but ok. Big plus for balconies and a view. Minus for being smokers friendly (it's allowed to smoke in the rooms and balconies). To sum it up - I think it's ok place for a short stay on a budget, but I wouldn't go there again until refurbished. Sorry, but no.
