Archontiko Chioti Hotel in Leonidion

We spontaneously decided to visit Leonidio for a night and drove the beautiful drive from the Stoupa area to Gythio to Areopoli through the mountains and stunning mountain village Kosma. The road is not for the fearful although well paved and so so beautiful. Leonidio is such a surprise with its red cliffs, almost like the Southwest USA, beloved of climbers. The hotel is completely charming with the most lovely people working in the hotel. Nikki, the hostess, who tirelessly plays many roles, greeted us so warmly and answered all questions, and the sweetest lady decided we weren't eating enough of the excellent breakfast and brought us more treats from the kitchen. Of all surprises is a beautifully situated pizza restaurant where we enjoyed a fabulous pizza featuring the famous local eggplant and fashioned by a pizza maker trained by a chef from Naples, but the pizza has its own style. The restaurant is steps away from the hotel. Steiking features in the hotel: a garden area for meals, a tasteful pool, beautiful rooms in the remodeled mansion. The bed is carved wood and the ceilings painted with folk motifs. The bathroom is such a treat-- small but elegant. You feel as if you are a guest in someone's elegant country home. The hotel is the kind of place that is harder and harder to find-- intimate, comfortable, refined. Without the hotel, I don't think Leonidio would have been such a memorable stay.

This boutique hotel was a wonderful experience which added an extra level to our recent climbing holiday. The hotel is beautifully decorated with a lot of character and when you walk into the garden and courtyard is like entering a special world. What makes this small hotell an extraordinary place is the staff’s friendliness and the special breakfast with homemade cakes, and fresh local produce. Oh, and the beds are so comfy!

This is a beautiful Hotel, the second time that we have stayed here, we chose the same room as we fell in love with it the first time that we stayed here. Stone walls, amazing painted ceiling, comfortable bed, beautiful view from the windows of the mountains and pool. Delicious homemade breakfast, friendly staff, perfect location.

This hotel is a gem with wonderful rooms that have been beautifully restored. The staff are all really helpful and friendly and the inclusive breakfast is delicious, varied, home cooked and plentiful. It is really close to all the shops and restaurants in the town.

A wonderful 4 night stay!! Lovely room, with all the amenities, a large super comfortable bed & very quiet. The breakfast is excellent with a wide selection of local produce and hot favourites. Leonidio itself is a lovely active town with good selection of shops, banks, restaurants and cafes, and the hotel is right in the centre but tucked away behind a quiet square. But above all else the hotel staff are so welcoming helpful & friendly. A real gem to be recommended!!!

Their friendly approach make you feel especially welcome to the beautiful boutique hotel as well as to the village itself. The rooms and the building as a whole are kept very clean and display a wonderful traditional aesthetic without compromising on modern amenities, making our stay highly memorable!! I keep visiting Leonidio and getting back to this hotel for a few years now, sometimes even twice a year.
The staff is incredible ! they are super helpful and friendly, makes us feel like home whenever we come.
The hotel itself is super clean, comfortable beds and rooms with everything we need.
Also, breakfast is great always with fresh vegetables and fruits, freshly cooked dishes (eggs etc.) and of course bread that comes from the local bakery and some amazing cakes the staff bakes sometimes.
I honestly think this is the best place to stay in town!

This place is so perfect! The location is central and easy to walk to several bars and restaurants. It’s very quiet at night even being so close to things. The rooms were very comfy and had lots of storage and places to put things. The pool is beautiful! The staff is kind and attentive and make amazing mojitos from fresh mint and lemons picked outside! The interior courtyard is the perfect spot to enjoy the breakfast buffet. I would stay here every time we come back and recommend to anyone coming to Leonidio.

We appreciate a lot our stay, it’s a very nice place in typical building and with a lot of confort. The swiming pool is nice. The rooms were we stay with our 2 childrens was separated on 2 floors with direct connexion, parents and childrens have there one bathroom.
An adress which we recommend and want to reserve for our next stay !

My husband and I are returning guests to this fantastic beautiful hotel. It’s perfectly situated everything within walking distance. The staff helpful and friendly, the food and breakfast buffet were tasty with local delicacies, the comfortable accommodations will bring us back again next year. I highly recommend this hotel. Incredible views, easy access to the sea walking paths and restaurants make this a worthy Greek holiday.
