Hotels on first line in Malia

The hotel is very beautiful and clean. Located right on the beach, it has a beach bar and plenty of sunbeds. The water is very clean and some days there were seaweed, but they weren't disgusting

Rooms are very clean, personel are nice and food is so tasty. It is not big hotel so everything like restaurant, pools and beach is near (max. I really enjoyed my time there but there is one thing that I didn't like

Pools were really nice; plenty of space, also the beach side is perfect. Very close, plenty of beds, bar right next to the beach - perfect

The beach is great – clean water, plenty of sunbeds – but there are often big waves, so sometimes you might not be able to swim at all. We were lucky and had calm seas for half the holiday

There are three pools, all well-maintained and pleasant. There are three beach bars, but only one is included in the all-inclusive package; the others offer a 30% discount. The pool bar also serves snacks during the day

Beach towels are available for free, and exchanging them costs €1. The food was a big disappointment. Although there’s a lot of it, it’s the same every day and the quality is very low

One particular incident really stood out: I accidentally knocked over a glass by the pool—an honest mistake—and was immediately charged for it without so much as a conversation or warning. No understanding, just a bill

To top it off, guests aren’t allowed to bring their own water or snacks to the pool area, which felt more like a money-making scheme than a rule for anyone’s safety or comfort

The hotel itself was lovely and the pool area was the best! All in all, the hotel prioritises profit over guest experience. We will we read reviews before booking

My very special thanks go to Mum and Daughter who showered my friends and I with such wholesome compliments. We felt like fashion models as we walked downstairs each evening to head out to be complimented

What a wonderful hotel to enjoy a late 60th birthday present. The minute you walk through the door to be met with the warmest of welcomes, a truly great experience starts

Everybody is so warm friendly - and beyond efficient. This is customer service at its best. In particular the family really want to know you and ensure your happiness

location good let's itself down with zero entertainment for the adults and the 2 pools not 3 are not large however the low-level large pool was great. could not have stayed here with a family of 4

not a hotel as 4 star would suggest. 4 folk living in such a small room is horrendous. cleaning good reception good pools good

plus when I said give me all inclusive as compensation you lost the plot we don't drink alcohol. 1 beer and 1 wine 3 local spirits that would have been shocking at 480 euro. all I wanted was post mix coca cola

could not understand at half board why I was ushered away from the bar too buy real bottles of cola at 2 euro you only wanted to sell post mix rubbish. dont let yourselves down doing that it's tacky

negative the positives I pointed out deflected the 1 member of staff that harassed us. plus covid could of shut you down. i was being helpful telling you. you went on that you never had a complaint

i don't want to criticise too much but I hope they read this and take on board there are much better around them and next time in malia stalls area we will be booking a proper 4 star Hotel

Really nice, pretty and simple hotel in a convenient central spot. Good rooms, lovely quiet pool area and ample breakfast. Great base for a late season holiday (no clubbing!). The old town is lovely for evening meals.

This is a lovely Hotel so quiet even though your near the *****. Room small but had everthing you needed. Pool area was Beautiful very good sun loungers,the food in the pool bar was very good not overpriced at all

We had breakfast included (Jet2 deal), a nice selection of European fair and cooked English options as well. The bar food, by the pool, was ok as was the pool itself

What a beautiful hotel every thing you could ask for. Staff were so friendly and helpful nothing was a problem. The food was excellent and very reasonable priced. I had a great time and certainly will be back

Lovely areas outside for breakfast and drinks, and nice small dining area. Breakfast offer was a nice start to the day. Pool area was great, bar and snacks available, fab cocktails and delicious food

Food at the pool bar is very well priced, the workers are very friendly although the security guard didn't appreciate us coming home at 6am and making loud noises

The pool is lovely, was very quiet so was almost like having a private pool to ourselves. Very quiet surroundings, made our holiday nice and relaxing during the day

About a 5 minute walk to the shop which is fine, although quite difficult in the midday sun- would suggest going for the daily shopping run, or in our case the daily pre-lash of drinks run, until late evening

Within walking distance of the center, but still nice and quiet. Cleaning is done 6 days a week. Simple, but good bar for an afternoon snack

If you don't want loud pounding music playing 24/7, this is the best hotel i'd recommend in Malia! Would definitely go back!

It's just a little set back from the strip, about a 10-15 minute walk but the quality of the apartments makes it worth it

Firstly, the pool area ambience is amazing with plenty of sunbeds, cabanas and sundeck lounges to choose from (as per photos on the website, no gimmicks here)

Upon entering the Drossia Palms from the busy beach road in Malia you will find yourself in a beautiful, tranquil oasis

Close proximity to all of Malia’s nightlife, restaurants & beaches but you will feel like you’ve entered a completely separate resort as the well thought out surroundings, high specification rooms & of course the welcoming family ensure you have an excellent time! Highly recommend a visit to Nisos beach as well for a great cocktail & sunset views!

All the staff of Drossia were very friendly and helpful :) The menu for lunch & drinks by the pool was great, we tried several meals and "Nonna" as we called the lovely lady who prepared the meals, makes the best food

A big shout out to the security guard who made sure that guests were following hotel protocols. This hotel is set back from Malia's beach road so noise from surrounding bars and restaurants is minimal or not at all

The fabulous beach and top quality restaurant/bar (NISOS) is about a 1 minute walk from the hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed my extended holiday here and will definitely be returning in the near future

We have just stayed at Parthenis beach suits and it was perfect. A group of 13 of us with mixed ages from 19 to 63 and everyone loved the place. Accommodation great, the beds are so comfortable

Great place to stay infront of the beach with beach umbrellas. Rooms are clean and have possible small cooking facilities. They clean the rooms everyday. People are welcoming and friendly

It was pretty cool to step outside of my room, either through my front door, or from the corner of my deck, and see the Mediterranean Sea

The deck also faced inward toward the rest of the layout, so I really got a good look at all of the hotel. As others have noted, the staff here is very friendly and works hard to provide a nice experience

It can be a bit difficult to find at first, but the adventure is worth it. Take a walk down the street to check out the other restaurants and shops and enjoy the proximity to the ocean

The first night there we sat outside in the restaurant and shared several plates of food and a few drinks and have a great evening. We caught a great sunset, too

Several of us attending a conference nearby at the Cretaquarium stayed here for several nights. What struck me first was the view

Rania found us a couple of rental cars. The rental company actually brought the cars to the hotel

Pyrgos Beach Hotel is a lovely, quiet, family-run hotel right on the coast. We loved our clean, spacious room with a balcony and side view of the sea - waking each morning to the sound of waves on the beach

We really appreciated the fridge and kitchenette, making it possible to keep food fresh and do simple breakfasts for ourselves (although the hotel bar and restaurant is also a good option)

What makes this hotel special is the friendly staff and the location on the sea shore, with nothing between you and the sea. It's far enough away from the Malia *****, yet walkable to charming Malia Old Town

East along the coast is a lovely walk to sandy beaches. The staff were super-helpful with suggestions of places to visit nearby

The Hotel is very nice, quiet and very clean. It even has an elevator for 2 floors (very useful for your luggage). The rooms are spacious, all have air conditioning, a balcony, a rain shower and electric blinds

The location is very good, it is not far to walk to the shops, bars and restaurants of Malia. The party street is easily accessible by foot and still far enough so you will not be bothered by the noise

Location - absolute gem, 5 minute walk from the strip and away from all of the madness. Also close to old town which is worth visiting for food. Beach is a hike however which takes around 15-20 minutes to walk

The pool - perfection, always near empty meaning you have the pool to yourself essentially, there is also a deep end of the pool to dive and that. Food - do not eat food in danelis the sausages are terrible

Very close to the strip with awesome staff and a nice pool. Perfect for a lads holiday with the chance to relax in the day. Shout out to Nikos, great guy terrible at poker.

Comes into the room when your sleeping then doesn't clean it, she came in one day shouted then slammed the door. She also binned a few towels of ours. Bed sheets were not changed the whole holiday

Staff - Matt and Nico's very friendly however Ben is lazy, rude and unwilling to help in situations of need. In conclusion danelis is the perfect spot for a lads holiday at an excellent price

Upon arrival- greeted by Matt and Nico's who are both very friendly and helpful by telling us the do's and don'ts of malia and giving us free welcome shots

Proximity to the beach and the center of Malia perfect, pleasant walks to restaurants that are delicious! Hotel Syrene, which is right by the sea, provides in the evenings a variety of music that is pleasantly heard from a distance

We stayed here for our honeymoon in Crete and we enjoyed it, big room, relaxing beads, near the beach. The swimming pool is a good feature too for the days when you don't want to walk to much.

The residence is really beautiful, and the owners are really kind and helpful if you're looking for good food, awesome beaches and roads in Crete. Suggested starting from the end of August till October

The only reason I cannot give the hotel 5 stars is because our room was quite outdated. They have remodeled rooms with their own private pool (which were unfortunately sold out when we booked)

It is a family ran hotel and they we were all very nice and welcoming! They have a good breakfast selection (for purchase) and a lovely pool

The area with palm trees by the pool gives you a unique rest, the pool is perfect. The hosts are always happy, friendly and discreet

We stopped one night, passing through, and had a great time. The structure is small and is made up of a series of "houses" around the swimming pool and the snack bar

Room was also well appointed with new furniture and nice touches such as air conditioning and a good quality hair dryer. The pool area was large, well maintained and offers plenty of quality sun beds

The apartments are basic but nice enough. The air conditioning is not free. This is not stated in the description when you book. Good location but a good 15 min walk to beach but close to the main strip

All in all, a terrific week and we were sad to leave Kristalli - I get the feeling we will be back sooner rather than later

Great pool with plenty of sunbeds to go round. Rooms cleaned regularly - daily I think, or at least every other day - and all kitted out with everything you need in the small kitchenettes

Fridges and aircon work like a dream - just what you need with 35+ degrees. Lovely breakfast buffet in the morning, on the poolside terrace, and snacks available at the bar all day should you need them

:) Only thing I'd love to be upgraded were breakfast- monotonous, with very few vegetables (which was problematic for me as I'm vegan). The swimming pool is small but we didn't use it anyway so it wasn't an issue

It takes around 20 minutes walking (1. 7km) to the nearest beach (not the nicest one) and 35minutes (3km) to very beautiful Potamos beach which I highly recommend

Amazing staff and great location. Lots of shops 5 minutes away, beach not far either however I visited others that were about 10 minutes drive. Hotel is very youth oriented so can get a bit noisy

the security were sound, but did walk in on me at a bad time😳 the drinks were a good price aswell as the food. the pool had a great atmosphere and everyone loved me and my mates tricks

English Breakfast which was included is not the best v limited and is the same everyday, not bad for one day but then becomes boring. The cleaning of the studio could be better but it was ok

Best hotel ever! Staff are super friendly and always go the extra mile to make sure you’re having a comfortable stay! Hotel rooms are clean and beds are comfy.

Cleaners changed towels every 2 days, emptied the bins and made the bed. TV not great only 3 channels but again if you are on holiday one wants to sightseeing. Wi-Fi and Air con charged locally and quite pricey

The staff are always collecting the jugs, empty bottles and changing out ash trays. The pool itself is slightly on the smaller end, but definitely able to swim if you wanted

Such an amazing friendly family that run these apartments, George, Ingrid, Elias and Anna could not do enough for you. Not forgetting the lovely Christina on the bar during the day, her breakfast is a must

The pool area was kept spotless (as was the rooms) and there was never a problem getting sun beds or a race to put towels out. There is an outdoor bar offering hot food, coffee and alcohol and all reasonably priced

First time to Crete and Mellissa apartments was recommended to me. I have a fantastic holiday and mainly down to the family run apartment. Help kind and very embracing the hospitality was 5 Star

What can I say? Fabulous family holiday!! Wonderful family run apartments. We stayed in the old block close to the pool and bar and our 2 apartments were spacious and with everything we needed

Bar/Swimming pool nice and chill. Cristina is a lovely person who works behind the bar during the day!!! She’s so sweet. Thank you everyone , we hope to see you again when we return to Crete

highly recommended very clean apartments very friendly owner top pool area with a beautiful view of the mountains top location 2-3 minutes walk to the beach and not even half a Minute away form the party street with clubs bars and restaurants

At first we had a room we didn't really like, but after we told the owner (?) about it, we got a really nice and calm room :) The Hotel has a really nice and cute little garden with a pool and we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast that was included

Everything in Malia is easily reached by walking from here, it's just a few minutes to the beach and the party part of Malia is right around the corner. There's supermarkets right on the other side of the street

Staff and management were really lovely and very accommodating. Pool was amazing and pool area was very relaxing. Lounge areas around pool were great to sit and relax in the late evening

First of all staff was excellent and kind , rooms was good , great for family and couples . Awesome breakfast meal and love the cocktails drink they made . Lots of restaurants bar and shops Perfect 👌🏽

Shower was fantastic (important for me). Close to the restaurants and nightlife but far enough away that it wasn’t overly noisy. Shop just across the road which was super handy
