Hotel Savoy in Rhodes Town

Good location, smooth check in with a very polite and friendly lady on the desk. Checked in to the room and it stinks of cigarette smoke despite there being signs saying no smoking everywhere. Unbearable. I try to move rooms but there’s nothing else available. The rooms are basic and dated, the bed squeaked every time you turned over, the side lights didn’t work, only the main light did. The only thing that saved it was the shower and the location. A one night stay is fine but any more and I’d be very uncomfortable.

We provided the hotel with a complete list including ID/Passport numbers of our entire group as some of us were arriving earlier than others. The receptionist named Kate refused two people to check in. Than when the rest of us arrived she argued that she doesn't know our booking confirmation number. She would not check the hotel email where all the information was comunicated and agreed upon. She then proceeded to tell me she wont give me all the keys even though I paid for then entire booking, telling me she needs to see another person on our list which made no sense. I demanded to see a manager which she refused. After much arguing we finally checked in. The "superior" room on the 4th floor had ants crawling all over the place. The receptionist Kate refused to talk to us or even give us the Wifi password. I have never been treated this way by any hotel, hostel or motorest. The only decent thing about our stay was the breakfast and garden patio. AVOID AT ALL COST!

We booked a double room and we got a room that would be suitable for a small single room. The room was so small that we should sit on the bed to move around. The furniture was old and the room obviously in need of an urgent renovation. Considering these, the hotel was too pricey as well. NOT going back, NOT recommended. Kind personnel, convenient location.

For a one-night stay on 07/27/2024 A very pleasant and smiling hostess. Access to the elevator is a plus, especially when you have to go up 4 floors. We looked in detail at the sheets and beds, which were clean (we paid particular attention to this detail in view of the general comments..) Big disgusting point, the bathroom! We did not dare to wash. The bathroom is miniature without a wall or protection for the shower, no place to go to the toilet while sitting properly. When we run the shower water, the siphon fills up very quickly and the water overflows out of the receiver into the room!! A smell emanates from the shower head after observing there was mold on it... The morning meal offers the minimum choice. Possibility of having hot and cold, only the pound cakes are offered in the open air with flies present in the catering area at the time of our arrival.
