The clear highlight is the breakfast. Great variety, very good quality and exceptionally friendly staff, from the lady checking room numbers to all the servers, always smiling and welcoming. Even with many guests, everything was organized and smooth.
Overall, a very good stay and definitely worth including breakfast in the reservation.
The hotel overall is nice, rooms very clean and comfortable. Breakfast also has good variety and staff at breakfast are nice.
The only issues we have is housekeeping came into our room 2 out of 4 nights we stayed despite us putting the do not disturb sign on the door. The bathroom exhaust fan is SO loud and wouldn’t turn off when we turned the light off. The AC also doesn’t work, when we asked the overnight front desk girl, she said they turn it the AC off during the winter. Despite opening the window, it was still super hot and we were waking up sweaty. I feel like this should be a disclaimer somewhere online when booking.
Overall though, experience has been good in the hotel.
On a positive note, the staff at breakfast were much friendlier and made a good impression. However, the scrambled eggs at the breakfast buffet tasted strange on two consecutive days, which was quite unfortunate.
Check in was straightforward and very quick.
The room was a good size, shower room was fairly compact but had a decent shower. The rooms seemed to be well soundproofed with very little noise heard. The air con was a bit noisy and would cut in & out.
No iron within the room but an ironing room was available on one of the other floors.
Breakfast was typical for a European hotel with a mix of continental and hot options. Everything was self service.
Check out was quick. I’d happily stay here again when visiting Budapest.
