The hotel rooms are really small, for 4 nights with a baby it was very dificult to survive, specially keeping a stroller in our room as well. When i travel to Budapest my default place to stay is the Hilton Budapest City hotel. It is conveniently located, being a 20 minute walk to the Danube River with another 10 minute walk to Buda Castle. The rooms are always clean and are large and comfortable. Breakfast is great and the dinner selections are tasty. It is also located next to a mall.

We had a great time here a couple of weeks ago. Nice breakfast, great cocktails and close to a lot nice restaurants. The spa is stunning and well cleaned, the hot tub is a beast though. Great for soothing tired leg muscles after a days sightseeing. The only downside way on the soft side so struggled to sleep well, but other than that it was great.

It’s evident that this hotel was once grandiose, but time has taken its toll. The large complex with pools is impressive in size, but there are more outside visitors than hotel guests, which gives the place a cheap feel. The sunbeds are in terrible condition, and towels are not provided at the pool entrance—you have to bring small towels from your room. It feels more like a public pool than a hotel...

The place was made for kids, or those who still feel like once. Planty of water slides, indoor pools and jacuzzi. Outdoor warmed pools, playgrounds, food courts and more. The kids wanted to stay more. Easy to arrive from the center of Budapest by public transportation.

I'm rating the hotel only. Nice rooms, large breakfast buffet. A/C in the rooms could be more powerful in summer months. No satisfactory solution for charging electric cars (standard electric plug to be used, providing only about 1.6 kW).

The facilities where very good. The dinner was not good and not worth the price. The bath was not very clean and the air condition was very noisy and not very cold. The cashier in the pool Restaurant fast food were not nice and they talked about us in Hungarian. The guy in checkout reception was very nice. And asked how do we feel.

The park itself was very nice for kids (event the pool restaurant surprised us) but we do not recommend staying at the hotel. It looks like they don't like strangers, and even when I complained to the hotel management (both through reception and through a direct email) about the bartender who just wouldn't talk to me in English, he didn't even respond.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful! The staff were really friendly and everything is within walking distance of the hotel. The saunas and pool are easily accessible. Unfortunately the outdoor pool had closed during our stay. The only issue we had was that we had 2 single beds pushed together with 2 single quilts and would have preferred an actual double bed. Highly recommend

Lovely hotel not far from the great synagogue in Budapest. Full services, great breakfasts. Their restaurant, Araz, was exceptionally good. Unfortunately the room did not live up to its description on the hotel’s website. We booked directly with the hotel last August, the executive room description states that they have either a city or courtyard view. Quiet area, nice and big rooms, great customer service, located not too far from the heart of Budapest, but it's recommended to take a taxi cab through the Uber app. Taxi drivers are honest and super nice, with no hidden fees or extra charges. You pay what's on the meter. Budapest is a beautiful city. It exceeded my expectations.

Rooms are well equipped and clean although the furnishing is a bit dated. It takes about 15mins by blue metro to the city center. But the thing we loved the most were the breakfasts, they really were amazing!

It's a neat and nice place to come for mostly package holidays, but it's hard to walk around because the surroundings are too dark and squashed. Luckily, it was good to sell wine in the restaurant.

I want to sincerely thank several staff members for all their kind help. Debbie was so kind to us at 12 midnight after our flight was cancelled. She could not have been more willing to help us with any request we had. Used to be very good, the classic hotel. BEWARE: Unfortunately not anymore. Spa used to be included, not now. In short: Now too expensive, breakfast not included, room standard not up to date. This hundred year old Hotel is perfectly located to explore Budapest! The rooms are nice and comfortable. Ask for a River View room, the view is wonderful. Great location... dated rooms. Had a great sized room, 1 minute away from the trams and subway. This was the perfect place to stay to be downtown. I had a great business trip to Budapest in December. The staff (particularly a gentleman named Akos) was amazing and super attentive towards my needs. The room service and location were great as well. The bar was fantastic and the bartender Oliver, was so gentlemanly and kind. I loved it so much. We were able to check in early, which was convenient after a really long flight, though we did receive a street view instead of the city view we’d hoped for. The check-in process was smooth, and most of the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. Stayed here for one night, and was pleased to receive very generous elite recognition as Titanium. Staff were omnipresent, attentive, and cordial. The room was spacious and pristine (my only complaint - the carpeting is a touch dated, even if in fair condition). Breakfast was excellent (try the shakshuka). We were guests in August and the experience was amazing from start to finish. We received a welcome drink and the personnel was always friendly and helpful even though it was busy at times. The junior suite was incredible and the hotel was the most beautiful I have ever seen. The architecture is simply incredible and every detail even the escalator is incredible. All I can say is WOW! I’ve been home for two days and I catch myself day dreaming about being back at Anantara. Absolutely beautiful rooms, amazing service, tucked away but still very central. I felt like royalty staying here. The cappuccinos here are not to be missed (until you’re no longer there) and every meal I had was completely 5 star.

Very good stay at the New York Palace. The rooms are very modern with great functioning AC (even through a 90 degree heat wave throughout the city). The staff is very attentive and the breakfast is amazing. The one minus is that is a much longer walk to the major city attractions and area around the hotel is not the best (the neighborhood has yet to complete the post socialist clean up)

We only stopped by for cocktails, but so nice we did it twice over a three day stay. Our second favourite hotel in Budapest if we were to come back. Great central location.

Really amazing hotel. Rooms and building it self is awesome. Staff well trained, good wellness area with amazing wardrobe. Restaurant is very good, very good value for money. Breakfast is great with good food selection. But it would be nice if the room would be expensier and they would not charge extras on breakfast. The only bed thing was coffee, it was really bed. From the outside, this is a beautiful building with stunning architectural aspects. We did not stay here or get a chance to go inside so our review is limited to the outside features of the building only. The hotel is located near a beautiful small park across the street and the Széchenyi Chain Bridge.

I can’t speak for the rooms or hotel itself, but we visited for afternoon tea and dinner. The afternoon tea was such a delight - the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Everything was delicious. The china was beautiful. The seating was extremely cozy too. There was a pianist during our tea, which really just brought the entire experience together. I’d highly recommend visiting for tea

The best hotel, with the best location we’ve ever had. Amazing staff, and services. While it’s not the most inexpensive place we’ve ever stayed, for the cost, as my wife always says, “it was worth it at twice the price.”

Stayed for 2 nights. I would give it another chance. Pros: Location and Sebastian Cons: Check in process takes forever. If they are backed up, you cannot check out either. Went back down when there was no one in line and the female receptionist told me she couldn't help me because she was too busy. You can't change temperature in room. They only give 1 room key but we were 2 guests.

Great hotel. I had a great time here, the staff at reception were really helpful. The room was a great size and very clean. The housekeeper made the beds every day and put fresh towels in the room when needed. Breakfast in the morning was good with a great choice of food and lots of it. Smack in the center of places we cared about: the Hungarian opera house, the St. Stephen Basilica, and many, many good restaurants. Will explore more tomorrow. Had a relaxing lunch at the bar within the hotel, good service. Hungarians are friendly and good workers.

Nice hotel, lower level staff only speak Hungarian (interesting experience when you need a vas kell iron)

Nice hotel located in the center of Budapest, among narrow streets. There are many historical places within walking distance. Good number of rooms. When registering on the hotel website, a bonus is late check-out, free breakfast or other options. Booking through the website is cheaper than through Bookingcom. I had a great stay at the fashion hotel. The rooms and service were 5 stars across the board and the location was absolutely perfect with the airport express bus only 10 minutes walk away. It was so close to so many amazing things. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
