While the location is fantastic and the staff were generally friendly, there were several significant issues that impacted my stay. ​The room had a noticeable unpleasant smell upon arrival, which made the stay uncomfortable. Excellent location, great staff, okay rooms. Rooms have a washroom. How clean it is depends on the roommates. There rooms have no stool or chairs to sit. If you get a higher level bunk bed, you may have to sit on the floor to remove it wear shoes. I got my room changed to get a ground level bed. Breakfast was okay for the cost of 8.5 Euro. I absolutely loved my stay at this hostel! It was incredibly clean and spacious, which made a huge difference. The shower in the 6-bed dorm was surprisingly great — definitely one of the best I’ve experienced in a hostel. I only stayed for one night, but it was a really positive experience. The location is perfect, with multiple supermarkets nearby and everything easily accessible. Highly recommend

I stayed at three wombats on this trip (Munich and Vienna ) and this one is the best!!! There is air conditioning inside the room!! Can’t complain!!! I visited in summer time and it’s grateful to have A/C. Besides there is a little fan every bed just like in wombat Vienna. I had so much fun at H1 Budapest. The staff is great. Best receptionist is Rob by far!! And best volunteer is Olivia. Marla is a close second. By the way, they do have multiple hair dryers, so don't worry about that! Every day and night there is something to do.

One of the best hostels I have stayed in whilst travelling due to the wonderful staff and volunteers here. I completely messed up my booking and Marina and Martini quickly sorted me out! If you’re looking for a place that’s easy to reach from the airport, close to the centre and full of like-minded people who like to party, this is the place for you. A bar downstairs offers live music and late parties while the rooftop bar offers a place to hang out, chill and have a great drink. The prices are very reasonable for the overal quality.

Everything was amazing, rooms were clean, safe lockers and amazing friendly help from reception. Met some really cool people and the prices in the bar downstairs are fab ! Location was perfect too, we had the best trip here, will defo be returning.

I stayed here for 3 nights in a 4-person dormitory room, under a bunk bed, just after the New Year. Location - 1 minute walk from M3 subway. - 1 minute walk from supermarket. - Near tourist restaurants and souvenir shops. - There are beggars and homeless people, but there are many regular people, so it's not too worrying. The experience in the hostel was amazing, the place is in a very good location of the city, nearby to the tram and the metro. The accommodation was very good, and the service very nice. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Check-in was fast. Rooms are very clean but beds are not that big if you're a tall person. Location is superb and you can directly find anything you need immediately. They have group Whatsapp for activities but I didn't try it. Breakfast is fine and tasty.

I stayed in this hostel last year. It was good last year. Thanks to my experiences from last time, I have chosen Avenue again. It is still good. I had an excellent stay at Avenue Hostel. Everything was perfect — the atmosphere, cleanliness, and location were all great. Great location, great atmosphere, great staff and great breakfast! I was able to relax on my bunker without other bunk mates bothering me, and breakfast had a variety of fresh veggie options. The only concern I had was that the plugs inside the bunks did not really work for my Type C to A plug converter, and it kept falling out multiple times. Rooms were great and location is fantastic. Unfortunately I had to cut my trip short due to a family emergency. I had hoped to be reimbursed for the 6 nights I had already paid for, but no luck. I feel cheated because of that. I'm sure my bed was rebooked as it's a popular hostel. I would have been satisfied with even half of what I'd paid. It will make me rethink of staying here again.

I wasn't expecting such high quality at such an affordable price, I'm still very surprised... The rooms are very clean, customer satisfaction is a priority... I would come back here. It is nice and clean, and super central. Walking distance for most tourist attractions, coffe shops, restaurants and stores. I even had my room all to myself, even though i bought a 4 person room. The only reason i am giving 4/5 atarts is because of the kitchen, it does not have a stove or oven, only microwave and waterboiler.

Really worth staying here! The location is super convenient, close to the tram for tourist spots, just a 4-minute walk to the bus stop, and near the metro too. The building is old, but they keep it really clean, and you can tell they put effort into maintaining it. The staff are amazing and always try to help with whatever I need. Keep up the good work!

What a great place to stay, clean and great value. The stay in Rome is great value. Must sit in the basement if you have to work online.

My husband and I had a comfortable stay at MP Hostel in a twin room (301). It was quiet and had its own shower, toilet & bar fridge. The hostel itself is well-run as the front desk staff we spoke with are all efficient and friendly (and speak English). The only downside we experienced is that the kitchen area only has microwaves and kettles as cooking options – there is no hob/stovetop for guest usage...

Everything was great here. Judit was a very hospitable host and the apartment was nicely prepared. Amazing location. Affordable Clean, safe. It got hot and all there was was a fan, no AC but in colder times this would be perfect.

Excellent location and just a few steps away from Astoria subway station (the bus to and from the aiport passes right by it). Judi is an outstanding manager and she will give you great tips on places to see and things to do in this great city.

I could stay here so comfortable.The hotel owner and her partner were very very helpful and kindness. They taught me Budapest sightseeing even though I send rude emails and I couldn’t speak English very well. It’s my first time to stay the hotel which like airb. The wall of these rooms was thin.I could hear noises from next room and also I made noises too. That is the only point of concern.

The location is absolutely superb. That's all. After staying 4 days I still could not manage how to open all doors, so complicated it was (use of key, pin or chip). My room had a heavy humidity problem. No hangers for coats or for towels. We were fighting for the heaters to put our towels on it.

We stayed in an apartment with private bathroom. Cool building with more charm than a typical hotel and the service was good, and check in at 12 is nice. Room was fun and quirky. If you're looking for something spotlessly clean, you may want to look elsewhere but we enjoyed it. Location is good too.

Very good location right in the center. The staff were also very helpful. Rooms were clean but had a weird smell to it. Also the key given can unlock all the rooms in the building so safety wise it’s not too practical. Overall good value for money. Also very loud at night.

I stayed at Pal's Mini for 5 nights in a clean and spacious room with a bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff. It is also well connected, in fact the metro is just a few meters away from the hostel. We really enjoyed it!

It was clean no doubt. Till the evening it was pretty alright. At night from 10 to around 12.30 some guests were partying (probably a group of students), anyways that is understandable...it is Budapest after all. Overall a nice stay, the neighborhood is good, close to everything. You can easily walk from there to the bus stop from where you get the airport bus.

Nice place for a few days in Budapest not far from the center. There are two toilets: one is tiny another is good. The shower is just 1 sq meter room. The bed is comfortable. Kitchen with two big fridges and enough space. Lockers are wooden and the backplate is a bit open. That's a strange feeling that someone has put there more than it could hold. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Nice hostel. Rooms and facilities were nice enough. A little dingy - one of the toilets smelt of pee. Staff were good enough but didn't go out of their way to make us feel welcome - bare minimum really. However, location is great if you're looking to go out clubbing a lot and in a really cheap area to purchase food. Good enough for the price we paid.

For the price (€7/night) this hostel is AMAZING. The rooms are very nice for a hostel, each bed has it's own reading light, shelf, plug socket and locker. In the room there was a fan, a desk, an ensuite and an extra sink in the room. The ensuite was lovely and very clean. Kitchen and common are available but I didn't use them. The staff were ok but not that great, not very happy to help, seemed annoyed...

It is what it says on the tin. This is a no-frills guest house. The owners were lovely, and mostly let us keep to ourselves. The location is great as it is next to a metro stop and it's not in a noisy part of town.

The room I was assigned was in the middle of the building, so I had to carry my luggage up there. The space is not very large and the lighting is good This hotel cannot store luggage in advance, which is not convenient There is no direct elevator access to the floor where you are staying. You have to move to the next floor to get there.

Okay, not a bad room to stay, but the surroundings are kinda unsafe and it would be cool to mention that is a hostal.

AMAZING AMAZING. I switched from staying to the Hive Party Hostel (not a great first night in Budapest to say the least) to Vitae Hostel, and I don't regret it one bit. You could go out and party if you wanted to or stay in to rest up. There was always some sort of event happening and everyone also wanted to sightsee/travel during the day. Loved the common spaces and staff.

The best hostel ever. Thanks to Wes (hope I wrote it in a correct way). This hostel provides rooms and food for free to Ukrainian refugees. Stayed at vitae for three nights was amazing, the staff are so helpful and if you need anything they’ll definitely give you a hand or advice with where to go sight seeing and partying. Would recommend to our friends. Sam was the best tour guide

Carpe Noctem Vitae Hostel is located right in the city centre. It's also located within 5 minutes of great clubs. Furthermore, the service provided is great and the facility is very clean.

Great well located hostel to meet new people everyone is very cool and friendly. In addition bedrooms and bathrooms are also very clean b4 I come inside. One bad thing, going for the fourth floor when you're drunk is a challenge. Thnks to all the staff for all the events organized and making this travel a great journey to remember.

Awsome party hostel, one for f my best stays ever. There always organising something to do in the evenings and are very inclusive to any one willing to have a great time.
