Where to stay in Zalakaros

Very nice hotel and clean rooms but kitchen is poor. During Holidays in Hungary we are used to much better food than here. Even so, we had a great vacation in this hotel. I recommend it to everyone.

Not very friendly nor professional staff at the reception. They wanted to charge us the amount that we have already paid for our stay and didn' t even bother to appologize afterwards. That really kind of spoiled the experience. Otherwise, we had a pleasant stay.

One of the best location around Zalakaros. I stayed here several times for business and private. Hozel staff is very nice and helpful. Hotel is connected with the Zalakaros Spa where you can enjoy thermal pools onside and outside with children as well also during winter. Food is delicious with a wide broad of selection.

Great option with kids. Stuff was super super nice. Water park is really nice. Only down side is that almost no vegetarian options. Highly recommend.

Great food, great personnel, the rooms were modern and clean, the aquapark, hot tubs and wellness was reasonable, we enjoyed our stay!

The hotel is a great place to stay in case you have children. The staff is helpful and kind when you need something. They even manage all kind of dietary needs. The place has direct access to the Zalakaros bath, where you could have fun inside or outside.

Excellent destination for a relaxing holiday. Peaceful environment, spacious rooms, and excellent, healthy food prepared with care - the dinner was the best part of our stay! The spa area is almost empty (stayed in May) and there are plenty of chairs/loungers.

Fantastic Spa, heated outdoor and indoor pools, thermal pool, various sauna seance programmes make the resort outstanding. Delicious food variety: fish, beef, poultry amd vegan dishes ensure that everyone finds the right choice. The staff and management are always on their toes to please us. The neighbourhood is my favourite: always green, tempting us for fabulous excursions, we love biking around...

Not sure how they got a 4 star rating; rather 3 star in my opinion. It's all about the thermal water, which they've done nicely. Dinner is buffet style, with very limited choice. It's a real mass place... Room was quite disappointing. Quite run down, spider webs on door opening, mold in the shower. Had a room that sleeps 4. Double bed ok, sofabed terrible. Internet constantly dropping in the room....

Solid 4 star hotel. Hotel is nice and clean. Rooms are big enough. The hotel could use some upgrades though. Food was good quality and varied enough. The pool area was ok, with pools for swimming and enjoying hot thermal water. There was also a hot-tub and some saunas. There are also pools outside. Overall the hotel earns it 4 stars. Recommended for people looking for some piece and quiet.

So relaxing! The hotel itself describes as 4star - agree. The pool section way more higher above the average, opportunity to get a really good thai massage is fantastic! I tried and worth it! Although we asked in advance for a quiet room, we got a room facing a main road and therefore noisy at all hours of the day and night. After we went to reception they changed our room. Varied meals, everyone can find what they like. The pool area is wonderful. Excellent shower.

Not the first time spent some wonderful days in the MenDan Magic Spa & Wellness Hotel (actually 4th 😅). As a couple, couple with dog, couple with child & dog and now as a family of 2+1. Each time we have served perfectly 4+*. If you book this hotel, book with half-board, it would be enough for the full day, if not you can have a Business lunch for a very reasonable price, or go to the Thermal bath...

4 nights with Kids and bad weather.....we have got enough fun. Food and service was good, room cleaning could be better. Hotel staff are very friendly, special two young men in FunClub..... Very well received by the reception, the breakfast and evening food is good. We also enjoyed the pool and 2 bikes, everything was well arranged for us. Also in the area enough places to find lunch, walking etc etc. Good bike routes with bicycle paths. I recommend this hotel if you are in the area or coming.

The location is great! The hotel is kind of old fashion but very clean, the staff is very helpfull and ready to offer you a good experience. It's a 3 star hotel. Good thing about it you can walk to the thermal bath from the hotel through a covered tunnel. Food is tasty but sometimes boring. Rooms are small, outdated but clean. Beds are comfortable.

The rooms are tight, the infrastructure, bathroom and furniture are worn-out. -> 2star only The breakfast is abudant and wide variety of fresh vegetebles and fruits are available. -> 4star Its main benefit is the direct underground connection to the spa which makes it a good choice from autumn to spring. I can recommend the stay for those visiting Granit spa, conveniently connected with the hotel by tunnel. The staff was friendly, although majority of them did not know English and only spoke German. Hotel building itself could use some refresh, but so far so good. The food - one evening it was rather poor, the next evening it was good. Summary - average.

We spent 6 days in Hotel Aphrodite with my family. The Staff was very kind and helpful, the rooms were great, and all the services (pool, wellness, massage) was quite good. We had only one small concern, there were no fruits for breakfasts. But we had a great time there.

This is not a typical hotel, more like a spa, with lots of small children around. However, it all gets very quiet before 22.00. We got half-board and it was excellent, a lot of various dishes. It is an excellent hotel, they have excellent breakfast, lunch, dinner, rooms. There is also an excellent fitness center and swimming pool❤️❤️ I love it💕

Me and my family (4 adult with 1 one-year-old baby boy) stayed 3 days (2 nights) in Hotel Venus*** in which the food was like in a five-star-hotel, great selection with homemade flavours. We got more than what we expected.Cheap price,good thermal bath and kind staffs. Contingent of the hotel are mostly older people and do not know english.That is why you can get bored after few days if you come alone. In winter most activities outside of hotel are closed due to bad weathers.But for summer it is sure that you can get more pleasure.

We had some problems with the pop-in masseur who did his job horribly. The problem was handled very well by the receptionist, but it is still up to the hotel to work with outsiders who are worth the otherwise high prices. Nice and clean hotel. Balcony was a big plus, at least for me. Friendly personnel. Decent price. Breakfast was included; open buffet, not fancy but tasty and consistent. A permanent restaurant would be a great feature, especially for travelers like myself , as I couldn't find any places to eat in immediate vicinity.

Nagyon barátságos, igazi élhető kis hotel, eldugott helyen, ugyanakkor közel a fürdőhöz, és az ökotóhoz. Nem volt tömeg soha a reggelinél vagy wellnessben, a konyha egyszerűen fantasztikus, és bőségesek az adagok, a személyzet felülmúlta a várakozásokat, azt kaptuk, amit vártunk, sőt többet.

A személyzet nagyon aranyos és segítőkész, a vacsora mennyei, szobák tiszták, csak ajánlani tudom mindenkinek! Ár érték arányban verhetetlen. Biztos vissza jövünk még!

Excellent location, the spa entrance is only 50m from the hotel. You can find everything close to the apartment to make the stay fun and relaxing.

The room was renovated and clean. Check-in was easy and fast. The staff was nice. There was free parking and an elevator. The only thing that is not of adequate quality is the food. The room included a daily bath ticket. The spa is a 5-minute walk from here.

We spent 11 nights/12 days in the hotel, not the first time. The staff is attentive, the room/bathroom is clean, and the catering has changed in a VERY good direction.

It is in a good location, the rooms are clean. The selection of breakfast and dinner was adequate and very tasty. We got what we expected, we were satisfied with everything.

It was a pleasant experience in this smaller, but also very nice hotel. Personal is kind and friendly. Family room is large, practical you have anything you need.
