The location is great! The hotel is kind of old fashion but very clean, the staff is very helpfull and ready to offer you a good experience.
Even if the furniture is old, the matress and the sheets were clean and allergen free (that is my final test in a hotel 😅).
On the ground floor they have a very big playroom for kids also a playgroundin front of the hotel.
The restaurant was huge and the quality of the food was higher than we expected, great variety, fresh, kids friendly and even many options for vegetarian preferences.

Staff is very friendly and helpful, rooms are clean, bathroom and toilet especially clean and not covered in mold as in some more expensive places. Food is not bad but not very outstanding eighter. In case of allergies they tailor your own menu, which is awesome. They have no wellness services on site AT ALL, but you get a free pass to the Zalakaros bath for the duration of your stay. The exterior sight of the building is really depressing, but the interior design is a well maintained original "retro". The air coolers in the rooms are really old and very very loud, so are the ventillators in the bathroom and toilet.
The experience was okay, but we will probably check out an other hotel next time, to compare.

Well this is a long story. Briefly this place is a scam. The plate at the reception proudly advertise this hotel was in 2007 one of the best. Come on that was 15 years.ago! The room is just a small box, covered with a defeated carpet you should never see even in a 3 star hotel. It looked dirty felt sticky. Sleeping in the bed was feeling like a nightmare. When you wake up and can't feel your legs but the pain in your bones. The is no adequate vent in the the room despite the balcony door poor isolation. Avoid the rooms at the end of the lobbies. You get a half board service but not soft drinks at the dinner, just for extra fee. What?
And finally the price. The price is generated on a magical way. This 3 star hotel took out from my pocket the price of a 4 star, clean and light double in size apartment's price (ca€190/night).
When I decided to move to an other hotel after a horrible night, I lost my booking money because the hotel refused to return the extra money. They told me they could sell my room to anyone other and that I should ask for a better room. JESUS. If you have better room sell that first not the worst one . Just an advice. Never pay MORE than necessary for booking in advance because you will never see it again, no matter what. I payed and regretted it but I will never do it again.

It's a 3 star hotel. Good thing about it you can walk to the thermal bath from the hotel through a covered tunnel. Food is tasty but sometimes boring. Rooms are small, outdated but clean. Beds are comfortable.

The rooms are tight, the infrastructure, bathroom and furniture are worn-out. -> 2star only
The breakfast is abudant and wide variety of fresh vegetebles and fruits are available. -> 4star
Its main benefit is the direct underground connection to the spa which makes it a good choice from autumn to spring. That also means that their own entertainment offerings are limited.

I can recommend the stay for those visiting Granit spa, conveniently connected with the hotel by tunnel. The staff was friendly, although majority of them did not know English and only spoke German. Hotel building itself could use some refresh, but so far so good. The food - one evening it was rather poor, the next evening it was good. Summary - average.
