We also did a tour of the hotel with Ron who was super informative as he shared the rich history of the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the tour. I’d highly recommend both !
The King David Hotel has a reputation of excellence and for good reason. Everything about the hotel was top notch. There aren't enough superlatives to describe the outstanding service. From check in to check out, we were truly treated like royalty. And of course the unparalleled view of the Old City from our beautiful tower room was beyond breathtaking. We most certainly will be back!!!
The concierge, reception, and guest relations departments went above and beyond to cater to my every need, ensuring that my stay was nothing short of exceptional. It's no wonder that this hotel attracts a wide range of guests, as it truly offers an unforgettable experience.
I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a remarkable stay.😋😋
The top suites in the King David Hotel are resistant to bullets, bombs and poison gas. The hotel, which has a historical significance, has windows in its top suites with bullet proof and rocket-proof glass. The air conditioning systems are gas-proof in case of an attack.
Security arrangements at the hotel :The hotel's exterior is made of concrete and steel. In addition, the windows in its top suites feature bulletproof and rocket-proof glass, while the air conditioning systems are gas-proof. Every member of the King David's staff is vetted by Israel’s Shin Bet security service.
Even if the whole hotel blows up, the suite will remain in one piece. There might be a few broken pieces, but nothing will happen to Modi. On an average, a room at the King David costs $1,500 per night. Extrapolating that, the cost of just booking the hotel would be $165,000. So, in Indian rupees, the hotel would cost Rs 1.07 cr per night. There are several overheads which would be added to that, such as the cost of hiring additional security and the Israeli intelligence and security service.
Among the famous guests here are Presidents Richard Nixon , Gerald Ford , Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton , George W. Bush , Barack Obama, and Donald Trump; British Prime Ministers Winston Churchill, Herald Wilson, Margaret Thatcher, John Mayor, and Tony Blair; Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi; Charles, Prince of Wales, Elizabeth Taylor ; Richard Dreyfus; Madonna; and Hillary Clinton.
