We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms are beautiful, very comfortable, and full of historical charm, which made the experience truly special.

The staff was outstanding: Aviad was incredibly helpful and amazing in arranging all the preparations for our special event. Ruth was very kind, attentive, and always made us feel welcome.

In the restaurant, Andrea and Elias made our experience unforgettable with their excellent service and warm attitude. Food was delicious!

What an absolutely incredible experience we had at the Jaffa. The hotel and rooms are absolutely gorgeous, and the level of intricate detail is stunning. The service is impeccable and everyone is so kind and helpful. For breakfast it’s gorgeous and elegant. We cannot wait to return to this hotel!

seriously never feel the need to complain but this hotel left me no choice. The Jaffa is extremely understaffed, horribly organized, and the employees clearly have not received any five star training. They barely even smile.

For our wedding weekend, the hotel convinced us to cancel our 870 dollar booking and rebook at more than four times the price with promises of a Bridal Suite upgrade and special services. None of those promises were delivered.

As for the bridal package, the most important part is being able to take pictures. Just so you know, everyone else is taking pictures and nothing is closed off for you. Anyone can walk right through your shoot. They take advantage of you simply because you are the bride. If you were not in a bridal dress, you would not need to pay anything for the same access.

The staff was shockingly unhelpful. After our wedding, we arrived late at night exhausted and were told there was no bellboy, so we carried everything ourselves. We asked for an iron at 8 AM on the morning of our wedding and did not receive it until 4 PM as we were checking out. Towels took hours as well.

VIP parking was broken, my car got stuck, and they asked for cash with no receipt. Several employees even admitted we were misled.

For a hotel claiming to be luxury, this was embarrassing and unacceptable. Not recommended at all. There is so much more to say, this is only a portion of how bad the experience really was. It is a shame because the hotel is so beautiful, but whoever is managing it is ruining it completely.

I emailed the hotel. They called me and promised they would see what can be done about this situation in terms of compensation and never got back to me

The Jaffa, TLV
The Jaffa stands out as a property defined by refined taste and understated luxury. The blend of restored historical architecture with contemporary design creates an atmosphere that feels both collected and quietly distinguished.

The rooms are spacious, thoughtfully arranged, and visually balanced — an environment that encourages comfort without unnecessary flourish.

Its cuisine is another strong point. Fresh ingredients, clear flavors, and precise execution form a kitchen that speaks confidently through its craft rather than through theatrics.

Equally notable is the overall mood of the hotel: calm, measured, and assured of its quality. Service remains attentive while maintaining a respectful distance, which contributes significantly to the sense of ease.

For those seeking a sophisticated and well-composed hotel experience in Tel Aviv, The Jaffa is certainly among the finest.

One of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed in.

The Jaffa is the perfect mix of historic charm and modern luxury. The building itself is stunning, and the courtyard feels like a calm, escape right in the middle of the city.

The amenities are perfect, beautiful pool, great courtyard, relaxing yoga classes, and excellent food. The pool area in particular is gorgeous and really well designed.

The location is ideal: a short walk to some of the best restaurants, close to all the energy and nightlife of Tel Aviv, yet surprisingly quiet at night. Many spots in the hotel also have lovely sea views.

The building itself, the garden and the pool are absolutely amazing. Rooms are really nice but not so functional.. and a bit difficult to understand how to do things.. (TV in the mirror, curtains with button next to the bed etc. breakfast is really nice with good variety. You can find a nice buffet + menu to choose hot dish. Also the restaurant is really good Generally speaking very nice for couples

Our children brought us a present of afternoon tea at the Jaffa as our roots are British 50 and 42 years here and they know we like afternoon tea.The room was stunning with only a few tables .To be fare the staff were friendly and told us to ask if we needed anything .And the food tasty .But This is not the 1st tea I have had in Israel and abroad .The tea itself was a good brand but served in a tiny teapot with no lid .That is definately not 5 stars even cafe standard We asked for more tea .The same as we had before .If the waiting staff were proffessional they could have taken the pot and looked at the type of tea we had had before .Also maybe pouring the tea and also.pouring the water mineral and natural that were on the table .There was a nice printed menu but maybe a little more verbal information would make it of a better quality .I was just a little dissapointed after hearing past reviews of this hotel I didnt feel the exclusivity that it used to have ..I definatly recommend if afternoon tea is served make the tea itself a central point in a pot where the tea stays hot not pots where all the lids have been broken .As it was It will be difficult to recommend it to all our friends who love indulging in afternoon tea

Review: The Jaffa Hotel – A Stunning Venue with Disappointing Service

We chose The Jaffa Hotel for its beauty and reputation, especially to mark a special occasion – a wedding. While the hotel itself is architecturally stunning and the location is truly one-of-a-kind, our experience, particularly around the bridal package and service, left much to be desired.

Booking the Bridal Package – A Nightmare
Trying to book the bridal package was extremely frustrating. It was impossible to do it through the regular channels because the hotel required us to provide names of all outside vendors (photographer, makeup artist, hair stylist, etc.) in advance. This level of bureaucracy turned a process that should have been joyful into a logistical headache. We were forced to finalize everything just two days before the wedding – a completely avoidable and incredibly stressful situation.

Check-in Experience – Cold and Unhelpful
Upon arrival, the receptionist simply pointed us in the direction of the room. No one walked us to the suite or offered to explain any of the features – something you'd expect in a hotel of this caliber. To make matters worse, there were basic amenities missing in the bathroom, such as toiletries.

Food – The True Highlight
On a much brighter note, the food was exceptional. Breakfast was amazing, and dinner was absolutely delicious. The quality, variety, and presentation were all top-notch – a real highlight of the stay.

General Service – Hit or Miss
Service during meals and around the hotel was generally excellent, but sadly, that level of care didn’t extend to key moments. For instance, when the bride and groom returned to the hotel after the wedding celebration, exhausted and carrying luggage, no one assisted them. At a five-star hotel, this kind of oversight is unacceptable.

Overall Impression
The Jaffa Hotel is undeniably beautiful, and the setting is perfect for a luxury experience. But unfortunately, the service was inconsistent and at times careless – especially during moments that mattered most. A venue like this has so much potential, but our experience was marked by unnecessary stress and disappointment.

Rating: ★★☆☆☆ (2 out of 5)
Beautiful place, great food – but poor service and chaotic planning made it a frustrating stay, especially during such an important event.

I have tried for days to call the hotel and no one answers the phone on any of the lines. No one answers. Never. This is the experience they want to be known for?
