The hotel was generally quite nice, not sure about 5 stars nice, but it had a lovely overlook of the lake. The serve at breakfast and meals was fantastic and the food even for a large group event was very good. They were great about accommodating gluten free options and other allergies/food preferences which is very appreciated. The front desk experience was very strange and at both check in and checkout they were very distracted and bordering on impolite sometimes. The fotness area was nice but I did not use anything else as there were surcharges which is a bit strange given how expensive each night was. I will likely go back as my company has events here, but I would not choose it personally.

Beautiful hotel. Beautiful location. Lovely room and staff. The only complaint was climate control in the room really wasn't working to cool it down. It was too hot for us. I ended up opening the balcony door to the much cooler outside air. The room cooled down quickly. I wish that I had done it hours before because we would've slept much better. But other than that, this hotel is just lovely and I would certainly stay here again.

Hotel is dated but very clean. Large facility. Walking around the hotel it resembles the interior pictured in movie Titanic. Definitely catering to the bus tours and seniors. Pool and water access to lake a clean and convenient. Very nice outside areas. Prices for food and drink is very high. Twice that of outside hotel. They definitely try to squeeze every penny from customers, parking 20/day, bike storage 10/day/bike, breakfast buffet is 25/day/person. Free Internet is limited to 1000mbits per day. Air conditioning in rooms works well.

Wonderful hotel nestled in an ideal location. Very clean accomodations. The staff was always friendly and courteous. The outdoor pool is much colder than the indoor pool which was fun for a short period of time. Both pools were crystal clear clean. The room was spacious and easily fit our family of four. The only issue I had was that the bed was too hard and the pillows were rather thin. Regardless, we'd still plan on staying here if we returned.

For the Grand Dino this what i was presented with was a utterly disgusting plate of Food / Burned old lumpy Clubsandwich with no love old bacon old bread and the fries where not better
Total unsatisfactory / sad because i used to eat here quite often but this was just embarrassing
although we waited unusually long for "easy" food at the end the waiter offered the coffee on the house

Beautiful hotel with great location. Fantastic breakfast spot - balcony just on the Lago Maggiore - with great view.
The family duplex room was good, though a bit old. Air conditioning made some noise even when switched off.
The pool was nice, though with a lot of noise and people, due to some congress...
Indoor pool was very large.
Breakfast was great, but on the second day, due to the congress, we had it on another room and this time was not as good as the previous one.
Not cheap, but beautiful and with great location.

The hotel is located at the picturesque Lago Maggiore and offers stunning views and easy access to the lake, making it an ideal spot for both relaxation and events.
The rooms are spacious, clean and designed in a classic style. This hotel is particularly well-suited for large events. I was part of a company trip with 170 colleagues. The hotel efficiently accommodated our group, providing excellent service throughout.
The food was good and the staff were attentive and service minded.

General experience:
Used to be a wonderful hotel. Now it’s filled to the brim with tours and business meetings. I don’t think they appreciate private customers anymore. The hotel itself is pretty outdated and the amenities in the room are non existent. No tea/coffee machine and an empty minibar. The staff at the reception act like they don’t care and would rather not help you.
Price:
They love to charge you for every little thing in addition to the hefty room rate. Gym access? 12,5€ Parking? 20€ per night. And the kicker is: you are presented with an additional 5% service charge over your room rate. My question is: What service? Bar and restaurant are very overpriced compared to the offering around the hotel.
Room:
The standard room type is tiny and in no way justifiable for the 200€+ room rate. The airconditioning was not working on our first night. “Because we Italians don’t find this weather hot”. Well, I do. If you don’t offer it, don’t put it in your room description.
Some price saving tips:
- Parking is free in the street next to the hotel. Just a 2 minute walk.
- Breakfast is just as nice at the bar in the harbor next to the hotel. 12€ for 2 sandwiches and 2 cappuccino instead of the 25€ breakfast the hotel offers.
- Drinks are way cheaper in the village, terraces are open late and as an added bonus: you don’t have to order at the bar and bring the drinks to your table yourself

Heavenly; the absolute place to stay in Baveno. A gigantic, sprawling complex with multiple pools, a garden, restaurant and bar, gym, sauna, massage and function rooms. The inside and outside are gorgeous and intricate. Not to mention the location; stunning views of Lake Maggiore and the Swiss alps. My trip here was one of the best in my life.
