Puntaquattroventi

The room smelled very bad, like some cleaning solution. I have stayed in hundreds of hotel rooms and never had smell that bad. We had to sleep with the patio door wide open, so we couldn’t use the AC.
The WiFi was pretty useless.
The staff was very nice, decent breakfast.

The only reasons there are 2 stars is because of house keeping (absolutely amazing, organised your items and gives you enough showering products) and because the breakfast is basic and good (lots of pastries). The location is the biggest let down. Horrible internet the WiFi is non-existent and mobile data doesn’t work because of the connection being horrible too. So calling,texting sending pictures isn’t gonna work out. Also the pool you have to wear a swimcap ? Which is stupid and just an inconvenience (they aren’t nice if u forget your cap). Because people just wear it on their scalp and then have their long hair out in the water anyway so no point but to inconvenience people. Then the beach is just rocks and sharp ones. So much trash (even a condom on the hotel property outside on the beach ) You cut yourself on the rocks and waves are strong. In general the whole area stinks of trash and is covered in it. Unfortunately the breakfast was not quality expected to be urged to wake up in the morning.
The only fresh in the breakfast was the fruits, the coffee was cheap and heavy and all the other eggs in omelet not fresh at all, and we also tried croissant, cake, bread, tart apricot and tart Nutella the cheapest and lowest quality and orange juice in the box, not the breakfast you expect in accordance with the room price, but excellent for feeding the birds on the balcony.
We expected to taste good fresh mozzarella instead of yellow cheese, good fresh tomatoes, fresh natural juice and if any of the tart cake croissant were fresh would be ok, and this is not considered too much in accordance with the room price.
Many people come for the pool especially in weekends that are not residents of the hotel and we never found to sit near the pool under trees to have some shadow, as the number we were given to sit was always under the sun anytime any day of the 6 days we were there, because my husband can't sit many so many hours under the sun we choose the table near the coffee shop, but if you are a sun lover no problem with that. The music was not too loud and the staff very kind near the pool.
The way for swimming in the sea is a little difficult and if there is wind and has waves is impossible to swim. The days with no wind we ask the locals how we get in to swim and it was ok, not the waters you expect to see in Positano or Amalfi, but what to do.
The Restaurant for dinner was good and the prices normal, we tried the famous roucollina pizza and the pasta was ok , my husband tried also the fresh pasta with mozzarella and they served him 5-6 small pieces that he ordered a pizza later not to feel hungry, also the view is fantastic.
20-30 minutes walking from the hotel we could reach the local shops and a supermarket which was also good.
Other than the breakfast our stay was nice and the staff of the hotel kind.
