Reviews
The roof top whirlpool is nice, the wall of the room is a bit worn-out, normal breakfast with little choice.
Room: POOR. Room was very outdated. The sofa at the bottom of our bed had streaks of stain on it and was so gross. We ended up asking for a blanket to cover so we could use it as extra seating due to lack of additional seating in the room. Bathroom was very tired and the only thing I liked about it was the big unusable window to provide some light. Every time we showered, water got out every where and even sipped into the main room...
Location: OK. Close to the train station and some hubs. But it was not a great walk. I wouldn't feel comfortable walking by myself.
Service: POOR. Staff at the rooftop bar and restaurants are good. But front desk staff was not welcoming at all and gave me attitudes during check in.
Noteworthy: what's up with the tiny elevator doors? One of the elevators stopped randomly with only 2 of us in there one day. This caused me to be extremely nervous the rest of the stay if anything else could happen.
If you are staying here, please check out the rooftop at the sunrise where they serve breakfast. We loved the continental breakfast, and the view made it better!
Surprisingly, the staff at the front desk and in the restaurant speak English well, but the same cannot be said for the concierge. There is also no ramp at the entrance for luggage, which is puzzling.
The rooms don't have hair conditioners and greeting cards for Ambassador members, which would be nice to have.
The rooms are clean and well equipped with ironing board, hair dryer, TV, cable.
As far the food from the hotel restaurant, I would recommend few others places around instead, which can offer better Italian cuisine experience.
The staff is friendly and the reception staff is very helpful, with some native Neapolitans who can direct and recommend a places to visit and local restaurants.
I recommend this hotel 👌
This is a very nice hotel, however, it is the loudest hotel I’ve ever been to. There is no carpet and the walls are paper thin - I could hear word-for-word conversations from my neighbors. Tourists tend to wake up early, so expect to be woken up at 6am by people around you showering, packing, talking, etc. Then cleaning services start at 8am so expect doors slamming and furniture dragging all around you. This lasts all day long. I don’t care how nice a place is - if I can’t sleep in a hotel that costs me $2100, it is not a good hotel.
I did bring this up with the front desk and they offered to move me, but I don’t think that could have helped considering the noise was inside (not street noise at all). Perhaps this is only an issue in the “upgraded” rooms on the 2nd floor.
They also said they would call my neighbors to tell them to keep it down, but I felt that was unfair. No one was partying, listening to music, or yelling. They were just talking and living their lives. In my experience, the place is very quiet from 1am-6am.
I was too tired by the time I checked out to haggle for compensation, but I wish I had. I booked an upscale hotel at the end of a month long trip hoping it would help me relax, sleep, and get ready for my long journey home. I could have spent half that on an airbnb and had a better result.
All that said, the view from the roof is breathtaking and the staff is very kind.
