Dimora Palanca Mini-hotel

Stay in this wonderful little hotel on our trip to florence. The weather was really warm so when we stepped into the hotel the air-conditioning was immediately noticeable and a great relief from the heat. We were greeted by a lovely lady that was very kind and help us check in very quickly. They offered us coffee or a cold drink on arrival which I though was a lovely touch but we just wanted to get to our room after travel so we moved on quickly. The room was great. The bed was really comfy and we had a great night's sleep after travelling. The shower was lovely and the room was spacious and clean. Just a really good standard. Back downstairs the bar and restaurant areas are beautiful. The building is an old house that has been refurbished and it's really done well. We relaced in the outdoor patio are with some cocktails, the menu from the bar was great. We didn't eat in the hotel as we were out most days and evening so we can't comment on the food but the menu was very intriguing. We spent an hour in the hotel spa which is great and includes a sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, rain showers and comfy couches.. it's a great addition and really relaxing area to spend an hour.. Overall a really great stay and a beautiful hotel with wonderful staff

Excellent service through and through. A hotel that treats its clients like royalty with their attention to courtesy, friendliness and total availability to assist at all times. We visit this hotel yearly every time we visit Florencs as it is a second to none for us. Special mention goes to Elisa for her utmost support.

The building is beautiful - tastefully decorated, incredible comfortable, an oasis of a garden. Breakfast was fabulous. Great location - 15 minute gentle stroll into the centre of Florence. We stayed for a few nights and then went to Sienna, but cut our visit there short and came back to Dimora Palanca - it was like coming home. The best thing for me was the staff - Giacomo in particular. I stayed with quite a demanding companion and they were patient, gracious and accommodating. Thank you, all.

Very nice boutique hotel, with good service and nice rooms.

Very good and considerate staff. Always available. Awesome design and very good lighting and landscaping, albeit a questionable caliber of guests (some hotel guests were staring at me in a way that makes me feel unease and somewhat uncomfortable), but i understand totally it has nothing to do with the hotel itself.
Would recommend for people who want a relaxed and laid-back stay in Florence. This is your at-call mini villa here in Florence, very cute backyard and very nice design, and the room was unbelievably comfortable, the shower included. And they had a nice and quiet reading room in the common area, despite the fact that i would recommend the hotel install some anti-UV shades at the place, in general the atmosphere was impeccable. This is the place i want to stay in for 3 months to do some research in.

Everything was perfect. Truly worth every penny. GC was a remarkable host.

We stayed at Dimora Palanca for 14 days and our experience was wonderful. Despite some of the negative reviews from the guests our experience was nothing short of perfection.
The rooms were very clean and specious the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My daughter left her phone in the Taxi one day and the front desck receptionist Elisa went out of her way to find it.
Carlo is another receptionist at the hotel and I can’t tell you enough about his warm and friendly personality. He helped us with planning day trips and gave us really good suggestions.
Overall I think this hotel is 5 star and more.
Because it’s small it’s more personal and cozy, plus the location is so perfect and close to town center. I will for sure stay there next time.

The hotel's interiors are very serene and my room had divine high ceilings. The breakfast was excellent and every member of the staff we encourntered was gracious and kind. The location is not inconvenient, but it's not idea for walking in the neighborhood. This was my sixth trip to Florence since I was a student. I lived in that neighborhood as a student but usually stay at the Savoy or along the Arno or at Villa San Michele. I came with my son and we both agreed the staff was kind and helpful. There was no room service but the staff all had to work very hard because there is not a very large staff. It was nice that it wasn't full of American tourists -- it felt like a grand B & B (I mean that as a compliment) It was very peaceful. If you know your way around Florence, this hotel is a great value. If it's your first trip to Florence, I recommend staying in a neighborhood that is more walkable at night.

Not easy to find but, well located to walk into the city centre and to drive to the airport. Very smartly refurbished. Interesting art and furnishing and lots of areas to it and be quiet. Room was large and comfortable, but soundproofing need improving as you can hear the traffic and the trams. Breakfast was fine but not really in keeping with place and the price. In general the service was good but a couple of people did let the team down. My wife said the spa was lovely. Happy to recommend but a few tweaks to make it a 5* review.

The hotel was luxuriously comfortable and hospitality was above and beyond our expectations. The only shortfall would be breakfast. For the rate we paid I was expecting food items to be a little better, but I would stay here again.
