Hotel Excelsior in Venice is truly next level — absolutely amazing in every way!

From the moment we booked, the service was impeccable. The hotel arranged our water taxi pickup from the airport, which made our arrival smooth and stress-free. Unfortunately, our luggage didn’t arrive with us, but the concierge team was incredible — they took charge, constantly followed up, and worked tirelessly until our bags were safely returned. That kind of dedication meant the world to us.

Our room was spotless, beautifully designed, and we were lucky enough to stay in a sea view room — waking up to that view each morning was pure magic. Every night, we were treated to strawberries and champagne in our room, and they even left special cookies for us before bed — such thoughtful, elegant touches.

The staff was beyond kind, always smiling and eager to help, especially the bar staff, who made every evening feel extra special. A very special thank you to Andrew, who went out of his way every single day to make sure we had everything we needed and more. His attention to detail and warm energy made a lasting impression.

Getting into Venice was easy and fun, thanks to the hotel’s private water taxis to San Marco Square — such a unique and convenient way to travel.

We would stay here again and again and again. From the service to the views to the people, Hotel Excelsior is truly unforgettable. Highly, highly recommend!

This hotel is a vintage gem, keep that in mind. It’s vintage. If classic Italian styling speaks to your heart and you want to enjoy Venice without the crowds, stay here. The beach was nearly private in the evening. The staff is charming, it’s a dreamy place I won’t forget soon 💚

We had a wonderful stay here. The architecture is stunning with historic details and subtle Middle Eastern influences that make it unique. On arrival, we were greeted with a chilled bottle of prosecco and a fruit tray in our room — such a thoughtful touch.

The staff were amazing — friendly, attentive, and always helpful. Our room was very spacious with extremely comfortable beds. The bathroom was a bit dated compared to the rest of the room, but everything was clean and worked well.

Breakfast was excellent with a huge variety and high-quality food.

The location is a little removed from central Venice, which we actually liked — it was peaceful and quiet. Just keep in mind there aren’t many restaurants nearby. We usually ate in the main Venice area before heading back. The hotel shuttle was very convenient and runs late into the evening, but it is very punctual — make sure to be there at least 5 minutes early.

Overall, this hotel offers a great mix of charm, comfort, and fantastic service. Would definitely recommend if you want a quieter stay near Venice with easy access to the main attractions.

Great service at this hotel and location is perfect with free shuttle boats to central Venice.
The rooms are big and the views to the beach is recommended. The decor is dated but works and there is of course turn down service at night.

Shuttle boat is helpful but the location is a bit far. Need to take water taxi to and from the hotel with luggages. The hotel facility is new and clean.

The hotel is great with a beautiful beach. The charge a lot for beach cabanas.
Now, they will really RIP YOU OFFwith all drinks and food. A coke is like 10 euros, a club sandwich 34 euros, as well as a hamburger 34 euros. Just drink tap water. A simple cocktail 25 euros.
