Stay away from this hotel! There seems to be lots of other ones close by. They messed up our booking for 12 people, and were incredibly rude while they were doing it. They made other mistakes with our booking and when we tried to talk to anyone senior, they refused to let us. When we tried to make a complaint, the guy on the front desk acted like this happens all the time, which I'm not surprised about. It is a good location and the rooms are exactly what you'd expect from a 3 star hotel, but the stress and disappointment of getting the rooms you've booked for isn't worth it.

Worst check-in experience ever! The hotel receptionist got every single part of the booking wrong (5 rooms) and it took over an hour to sort it out while 12 people were waiting in the lobby, with my parents not being sure if they had a room for the night. The man was rude, aggressive and unhelpful.
We also had booked two cots and they only provided one despite an email confirming this was possible. When we asked for help on that matter, the receptionist refused and even said we could "leave a bad review, call a lawyer, I don't care." A second cot was eventually provided on the second night.
There is no way to complain to the management. The email for complaints is the same as the one for bookings, and despite sending two emails we never heard back from them.
Avoid!

Hotel Ferton was affordable and we were satisfied with our stay. The rooms were clean enough and although we did not really interact with the staff, they were friendly. Location-wise is this hotel a good option as you only need 10 min walk to the central station and you can easily access other transportation options such as tram.

Highly recommend this hotel. The staff are very nice and helpful, breakfast was good and the rooms are nice. Toiletries including toothbrushes are provided which was a nice touch! Location is also good as there is a gelato place round the corner and the restaurant opposite the hotel is amazing. About a 10 minute walk from republica/centrale metro stations.

Staff was alright. Breakfast was the best part, with lots of options. Rooms have anything you need. Not too bad for the price, considering it's on cheaper side compared to other hotels in Milan

Worst experience ever! The hotel is not what they publish on booking or any other site. Rooms are small, dirty, with mold and water damaged walls and ceiling. The AC on an almost 30 degrees day was not working, the hallways are dark and dirty, the elevator is so small that only one person with one luggage can fit. We checked out as soon as we discovered this conditions. They are not responding my emails requesting a full refund, they won’t reimbursed the money paid. The front desk person Matt was so unhelpful telling me that the person in charge was not there until the next day and to email them, emails that they are now ignoring. I was with my 9 months baby and couldn’t stay a minute longer in such unsafe, unsanitary place, we left less than an hour after we arrived. Total scam place, completely unprofessional staff. I saw too employees screaming at each other while smoking at the front door on my arrival. All staff smokes at the door, they make you wait at the front desk while they are smoking in your face. And to finalize we requested a crib for our baby when we booked and got an extra bed for a baby!!

The location is superb, the service is Ok, we had an issue with the air conditioner remote control, the receptionist helped and gave us a so-called universal remote that could work properly. Thanks to him 🙏.
The furniture in the room is not well organized so it was a spacious room but felt too narrow.
The water from the sink and shower flows all over the room, luckily the room service could clean all that mess.
The breakfast was below average, with limited boiled eggs, cheese slices, yogurt, croissant, apples, bananas and very-old cakes.
We enjoyed our stay there and would come back for our next visit to Milano.
It's so close to many restaurants and shops, it is also a few minutes walk from the milano central railway station

I give them 3 stars only because of the location and the fact that they have breakfast. The service is 2 because they have not informed us on time that there is no baby bed available (they told us upon arrival), and this was one of the main reasons we had chosen this hotel in the first place. The room was alright, not too small and was clean, there was hot water and the heating worked properly. The hotel does not have their own parking, so you depend on pure luck for finding a parking spot around the hotel.

This is the 2nd worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at in the entire world.The room is very reminiscent of a jail cell with steel desk in the room painted brown and yellow lighting . The mattress was an old spring mattress that was insanely uncomfortable and the tv worked but the remotes buttons wer rubbed away so you couldn’t figure out what was what. There wer silverfish (bugs) on the wall of the bathroom, and the shampoo was so powerful it’s literally made my hair come out😵 avoid this place if you can . I literally considered getting another hotel because it was soo unappealing, but it was midnight and it was very close to the Milano Centrale station. I arrived and asked the front desk staff of any close by spots that I could get a bite to eat and water, to which they told me there was nothing but “maybe bars on the Main Street down the block” so I went literally out the front door and there was an amazing restaurant thankfully right across the street. The hotel staff tried to convince me there was nothing around so they could sell me their water bottle out of the room mini bar😵

Hotel Ferton was clean and well maintained/comfortable. It's a 5 story older Italian building with a lift and a roof terrace that's cut into 3 sections for the 3 top suites to use. Ours had 2 sets of french doors leading on to the terrace area, and a jacuzzi bath and lovely new looking bathroom with a nice shower. Also a small mini bar/fridge. Unfortunately the WiFi did not work above the 3rd floor, or in our room and I had to go down 3 flights and sit on the stairs when I needed to use it. The man who checked us in was very nice and polite, as was one lady we briefly spoke to on reception. I struggled to sleep well as I had concerns over being up on the top floor with no external fire escape available in an emergency and having noted that all the fire doors on every floor were wedged open. I'm quite safety conscious though. The worst thing for me was the area the hotel was in. Although quite close to the central station, which was handy, the area was covered in graffiti and run down and I was asked for money constantly. It felt unsafe despite seeing regular police patrols and soldiers up and down the streets. I wouldn't ever go back for that reason.
