La Maison del Sole Hotel in Palermo

Perfect Central location in best part of Palermo. Quaint old lift gets you up to 6th floor. Suite has an incredible view. Spacious, clean and comfortable. Very reasonably priced. Very helpful host.

Wow! Just wow! We had the junior suite, at a reasonable price. We entered the building and took the quick lift up to 6th floor. We entered a common space, very welcoming, then down the corridor to our suite. We pushed open the door and....wow, Palermo and the mountains right in front of us, the Duomo, Teatro Massimo, countless church domes, Quattro Canti, the lively streets below! The suite had a kitchenette, a large shower in the bathroom, a large double bunk bed, roomy wardrobe, large table and chairs, lampshades for soft lighting....and, very important, it was very clean. A window right over the breakfast bar, what can be better than having your coffee looking at Palermo and the mountains?! And two balconies. The location could not have been better! A few minutes walk to any site. The host was exceptionally nice! What more can I say, the perfect stay. We had 4 rooms, as it was a family holiday. I really long to go back, as Palermo is beautiful, and this property made it a fantastic vacation!

We stayed at Maison del Sole for a couple of nights, in Palermo for the first time and it was amazing!!! Mr Pietro, who owns the place is an amazing person, an inspiration, so energetic and so happy to help us find everything we could wish for!! He has literally been like a tour guide for us, he suggested many places and restaurants, cafes, shops, and told us so many stories about Sicily! We travel a lot and find hard most of the time to find such a welcoming person. The house is inspired by his passion for sea and art, the room was perfect with air conditioning and a private toilet, and a very comfortable bed. If we come back to Palermo we will definitely come back to this place!

Pietro and his son Vittorio were lovely hosts. The room was perfect, had everything we needed and the view from the room was incredible. The location was walking distance from the bus / train station and close to plenty of restaurants and bars. I would highly recommend.

We stayed at the Maison for 3 nights and were very satisfied, everything as we expected and perhaps even better .... well-kept and above all quiet environment despite being in the center. Mr. Pietro very kind in welcoming and never intrusive gave us useful information for our travels ..... definitely to be recommended

A very nice room, nice furniture, comfortable bed, good location but according to my standards we got a very dirty room. Everything requires a deep cleaning, especially in the bathroom and a bathroom cabin. The floors were also not properly washed and bed requires some vacuuming too. Shower should be spotless…even if it is dark walls, it doesn’t mean it should be overlooked. I give 4 because if cleaned properly it would be much more comfortable.

Pietro is a very friendly host with lots of good humour. The room was good, the highlight being the balcony which had views down the road to the sea and mountains.

The location was calm and quiet, although you may want to close the bathroom door and unplug the fridge as both can be noisy.

I would recommend, great value and great location.

Very nice place to stay in Palermo. Cheap, comfortable, very close to the main square. The host is very friendly and helpful :)
