As for the stay, everything went relatively well, except that those who wanted to enjoy the pool in this heat would have to deal with a lifeguard who was perhaps a horrible, pretentious lifeguard with no respect for the tourists who were staying at the hotel, so for anyone who wanted to swim, choose another hotel

Good hotel, large room and bathroom, clean and well-maintained. A good, adequate breakfast, a nice bar. Free, easy parking directly on the hotel grounds. The reception at the hotel was friendly and welcoming

He forced us to get out of the water, claiming that the buoy wasn't for tourists but for him, and so we had to go buy a buoy outside. Here's what I can say about it

However, the people in other departments are very pleasant

The hotel is a bit outside of the city center, but it's about a 45-minute walk away, which we were aware of and isn't a criticism

Well, what can I say, my family lives in Palermo and I come here often. I’ve never thought of staying in this hotel, but I have to say that I am having a wonderful time here, it’s quiet

Substantial staff assigned to keeping everything clean and tidy, 24 hours a day Extremely welcoming and efficient staff

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Igea. The food was absolutely amazing, and the service was equally impressive. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our visit

One small detail I noticed, however, was that for a hotel in this price range, you expect everything to be perfect

The garden could have been better maintained some of the palm trees looked quite dry and the greenery wasn’t as neatly trimmed as you’d expect. That said, these were minor issues in an otherwise fantastic experience

They anticipated our every need—bringing water and towels without us even asking—and they made getting our car seamless

The attention to detail, speed, and professionalism set a new standard for any place we visit going forward. The food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every meal was full of flavor, and the ambiance matched the quality

Palermo was the last leg of our trip in Sicily and we were so tired by that point, it was nice to have the pool. Decent for the price but next time I would opt for something deeper in the city

There are a few good things about the hotel, though, such as the location, the pool, and the friendliness of the staff

However the service around the Poole is extremely poor and expensive. Two soft drinks (that took an hour to receive) were 13 euros. No care or time taken on taste, or presentation

Our room was small but perfectly formed with everything we needed. What let's this place down is the service. The coffee machines were not working either day we stayed. The produce itself was poor with very little choice

The hotel excels in these areas, but again, they do not make up for the fact that one experiences restless nights trying to sleep in hot rooms. End result: I do not recommend this hotel, nor would I ever stay here again

Also, as I said, this is as cold as it CAN get… during the day, it gets as high as 25°C (~77°F) in the room, presumably because the AC cannot keep up with the heat & humidity of a Sicilian summer

Spent 4 nights here in March, 2025. We cannot praise the staff enough - they were all excellent. The reception staff on arrival, and throughout were extremely helpful

Another big thank you to the domestic staff - the initial pillows were a little wooly; however, this was soon sorted and firmer pillows were sorted

We couldn't find a fault - not that we looked, because with service like we received, finding fault was the last thing in our minds

Although my wife wanted to practise her Italian, I was able to converse clearly in English with all staff members encountered

Whether it was prepping our arrival or helping with onward travel arrangements, nothing was a problem or a chore to them

Me and my family had a great time. Even knowing is not a five star hotel the location was great, the breakfast was vert tasty and the employees were very professional. Would definetly go back.

Inexpensive and central hotel, with comfortable (if minimalist) accommodation. 24 hour help at the front desk. Everything a budget traveler might want!

I would advise to look for a room at the back of the hotel, as the ones pointing towards Via Roma could be quite noisy!

We enjoyed our two nights. The room was very spacious. David at the front desk was so friendly and very helpful along with all the staff. Breakfast was letdown though. With a small selection.

Over size, clean rooms with free wi-fi. Breakfast room with Gluten Free options. Location is only downside in a very narrow street & not a great deal of variety of restaurants nearby

Beautiful rooms in this hotel very cute in a way halfway between the station is the center of Palermo. Costs less than a b&b and the reception is open 24h with staff very courteous and helpful

Very good small hotel in the city center. I stayed there for 3 days 3 years ago on my trip in Sicily. Fair price and nice intersting decorated rooms, clean and with a balcony

The hotel is very well located and the employees are super kind with you all the time. It is also super close to Fontana Pretoria, a beautiful fountain where you have free wifi.

Greatly located just in the heart of old Palermo, and very quiet in the same time, serving very tasty breakfasts for all needs, spacious room (we opted for privilege one), and great views: see and mountain just in opposite directions

I enjoyed my stay in the Mercury hotel. The receptionist (Sylvia) gave to me a great service by changing my single room and giving me another single roome with nicer view and more confortable

The breakfast was actually fantastic. The location was b close the main nubs one towards the city centre. A taxi or uber is 15-20 euros but the walk is just 20 minutes city centre

Loved staying here. It is located a walking distance from landmarks, the staff are very nice, discreet and helpful. The food is good, the coffee, of course, is any coffee lover's dream. And the rooms are very clean.

The train station is also easily accessible and a few stops on the bus. Our original room was on the first floor and quite small and noisy, but we asked to be moved and we were moved to a suite on the top floor

The breakfast room is small but adequate and there is a very wide choice of food. My friend is coeliac and there was a wide choice, for her in the hotel, as well as in most of the restaurants in Palermo

Room 404 is definitely the room to ask for! it is very spacious with a balcony that goes around two sides and like every other room in the hotel, spotlessly clean

This hotel is ideally situated in Palermo. We are a few hundred yards from the hop on hop off bus stop and about 15 minutes walk from the Tetro Massimo

because the rooms are so small that they should decorate somewhat, not one picture on the wall, the bare minimum on towels, no ventilation inside the bathroom, way overpriced of what I'm accustomed to, 15 euro for parking in front, unless you paid an extra 20 euro for two people, there's no breakfast

Pleasant one night stay in this Best Western. It’s convenient to Palermo Lolli train station for airport … ten minute walk and in a nice area. Nice common area on ground floor and large breakfast room

I stayed at this hotel for one week in October 2023. This was my first time in Sicily and my first time in Palermo. I had a very memorable experience indeed! The rooms are very clean and comfortable

Great choices for dinner or lunch within 1 to 3 blocks. We took a nice short walk to great stores. Breakfast buffet room was very nice with only a fair selection

The room is a bit small but clean, the facilities are acceptable, and the location is not far from the train station and the theater, which is quite convenient.

We are at home now, we have been coming for 4 years and we have always found ourselves just fine. Hospitality, friendliness, clean rooms and reasonable prices.

Structure located in the central area. Very comfortable and well cleaned rooms. The owners really nice and always available

Tip: soundproof the rooms and eliminate some furniture elements that are no longer appreciated and only useful for collecting dust (bedspreads and decorative pillows are an example)

The room is indeed an old one, decorated in style. I don’t know where they got some rotten wood furniture, but it looks pretty good. Hygiene, service are OK, breakfast is simple and sufficient

The surrounding area is not far from the internet-famous Cross Street, the snack market, and various fountains. Sicily is not very big and you can reach them by walking

The double room is large and has a private bathroom with courtesy set, with a beautiful view from the window. There is no elevator, but that wasn't a problem for us
