What a wonderful experience that the team at San Clemente Palace bestowed upon my wife and I during our honeymoon! From the second we arrived we were treated like valued guests and shown the utmost attention.
Michael at the concierge desk was beyond helpful, nice, attentive, and professional; for our whole stay he was on top of his duties with precise detail. He even would go as far as seeking us out during breakfast to inform us of our plans for the day, which we found terrific and personal.
The only thing that I found less than perfect was the food pricing. 40 euro for a cheeseburger is a bit ridiculous even for a high end establishment, but this is a hotel first and foremost and I do not think it should be valued highly in my consideration for giving five stars, as it did not detract from my overall experience for more than a few minutes.
I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone considering it for their stay in Venice, it undoubtedly belongs with its class as a staple five star hotel in Venice.

We've had our honey moon at the San Clemente and it was magical. The staff was amazing, especially Ellen and Navid. They did everything they could to make our stay as carefree as possible, by helping us with surprises and dinners. The apartment was spacious and clean, no noise whatsoever. The island is a perfect relaxation spot, after a busy day in crowded Venice.
We've enjoyed the Acquerello restaurant as well, especially the Tomato e Buratta dish. The only slightly bad part was the room service menu, which had only 2-3 mediocre options.
Overall, our honeymoon was great, and we'd be extremely happy to return to San Clemente in the future. Highly recommended.

Located on a private island in the lagoon about 10min away from San Marco square by complimentary hotel shuttle boat. Service is excellent, Restaurant and Bar are great and the pool is very nice to relax after the tourist crowds in Venice. Rooms are a bit dated and TVs are small.

Myra and Micheal with the Concierge were amazing! They answered all of our questions, gave great recommendations, and helped us plan our visit to Venice. Victoria with reception was very welcoming and always had a smile on her face. Beautiful property and will be the only place I stay when visiting Venice next time. Record breaking heat wave made the trip a bit more difficult, but the crew at the Kempinski in Venice did all they could to make us feel better. We will be back!

An amazing, unique and exclusive hotel full of charm, understated beauty and history. Managed by impeccable, attentive, kind and considerate staff. Try the spa, the gym, massage, restaurant and all the other available services and amenities as we did. You will not be disappointed. The breakfast is the best selection of delights that we have experienced anywhere in the world. A courtesy boat takes you from the calmness of this wonderful hotel to the hustle, bustle and decades of history that is Venice. The restaurant on the island overlooking the bay next to the jetty is THE place to eat and drink a cocktail at sunset. We hope to return very soon! With much love, peace and happiness x

With San Clemente Kempinski you get the best of both worlds. City trips to beautiful but busy Venice via the regular quick shuttle boats as well as relaxing atmosphere at the pool or within the beautiful green of the island. The staff seems sometimes a little chaotic but very friendly nevertheless!

It's a hotel-island experience, which is definitely unique. It has a decent size pool and very extensive grounds. The staff is very professional and polite and definitely is trying to deliver five-star service, however not working A/C or sloppy maintenance is not as uncommon, as you would expect at the level of pricing.
