My stay at Sarai Wander Resort was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived until check-out, every detail was flawlessly executed. This isn't just a hotel-it's an experience that sets the benchmark for luxury and hospitality.
Small touches made a huge difference:
We went out to visited Angkor Wat so we couldn’t have breakfast at the hotel but their staff prepared 2 big box of croissant, water, juice, cookies, fruit at 5am. Staff are very friendly. I would recommend if you come to Siem Reap.

Perfect location, beautiful rooms and the most lovely staff. We loved our massage, was super relaxing. Couldn’t have asked for anything more, recommend this place to everyone! The breakfast was delicious too

If you’re seeking a luxurious yet inviting retreat in Siem Reap, Sarai Resort & Spa and Wander by Sarai should be at the top of your list. This Moroccan-inspired boutique hotel masterfully blends elegance with comfort, creating an atmosphere that feels both exotic and homely.
The resort’s swimming pools are a standout feature. The main saltwater pool, nestled within a serene courtyard, showcases traditional Moroccan architecture, offering a tranquil oasis for relaxation. Complementing this is a rooftop pool that provides panoramic views of the city skyline, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration. Both pools are surrounded by plush sun loungers, inviting guests to bask in the Cambodian sun.
The rooms at Sarai are thoughtfully designed with a keen eye for detail. Each room features a cozy bay window seat overlooking the pool, creating a perfect nook for reading or simply enjoying the view. The interiors exude warmth, with soft lighting and elegant furnishings that enhance the overall sense of serenity.
What truly sets Sarai apart is its exceptional staff. From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted with genuine smiles and attentive service. The team goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is memorable, offering personalized recommendations and assistance with bookings. Their dedication to hospitality creates a welcoming environment that makes guests feel valued and cared for.
In summary, Sarai Resort & Spa and Wander by Sarai offer an exquisite blend of luxurious amenities, thoughtful design, and heartfelt service. Whether you’re lounging by the pool, relaxing in your elegantly appointed room, or interacting with the attentive staff, every aspect of your stay is crafted to provide an unforgettable experience.

Everything was excellent overall. The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. The room was beautiful with a super comfortable bed, and the food at the hotel was solid.
The only reason I gave one less star is because of a new rule that does not allow guests to order food from outside the hotel, which felt a bit limiting. Also, the massage was just okay and felt below average considering the price, especially after I switched my masseuse.
Still, I would definitely recommend staying here for the amazing service and gorgeous rooms.

The hotel pool is as beautiful as the picture, and I am blown away by the hospitality here.
We had to leave early for the sunrise tour and would miss breakfast. So they packed us a breakfast box with pastries, fruits, juice and coffee.
The Goat Tree restaurant served delicious Khmer and Western cuisine, and is very affordable as well. Plus guests get 15% off. I love the breakfast where you can order off a menu in addition to a buffet with fruits, pastries and salad. They offer a food menu for the pool as well, and drinks are half off from 5-7 pm.
The complimentary 30-minute massage is a nice touch. We ended up extending it to one hour. The location is walkable to many cafes and restaurants. You're also embedded in local stores and markets.

I stayed at Sarai with a group of 15 ladies for 5 nights and we all wish we could’ve stayed longer!! I’ve been travelling to Siem Reap for 14 years and The Sarai Resort is by far the most beautiful and luxurious hotel I’ve ever stayed at.
Firstly location:- far enough out of town that you feel like you’re in a secluded quiet paradise, but close enough that you’re only a 5 min tuk tuk ride to the city centre. Tuk tuks are at the front door constantly. ATM across the road and laundry services, plus pharmacy is at the end of the street. Cute cafes line the street if you’re looking to go for a wander.
Staff:- The staff can not do enough for you! Super professional, friendly and accommodating to any request. The manager is a delightful woman who completely understands what guests need for a luxury relaxing holiday!
Spa:- The spa rooms are super clean and relaxing. The entire spa/massage experience was so good that I had to rebook immediately for the next night!
Food:- my group loved the food in the Goat Tree restaurant. We ate dinner there one evening and everyone raved about their meals. I also had room service which was delivered super fast and delicious. Again the staff were always efficient, kind and friendly. Happy to accommodate my endless requests of ice to my room for drinks.
My room was in the original building, such stunning Moroccan inspired architecture. I loved the room, felt luxurious and had everything I needed for the week. I spent many hours in the bay window seat looking out onto the main pool area.
My friends had rooms in the brand new beautiful wing, absolutely beautiful rooms and a stunning new lounge area for functions or gatherings.
You have a choice of 2 stunning pools. The main one as you enter reception and another on the roof of the new building. Both completely different but equally picture perfect. The best place to relax after a day of shopping or temple exploring!
I can’t say enough about how wonderful this hotel and staff are. It’s the epitome of luxury by western standards!!
I’ll be back for sure!

I stayed at Sarai for 1 night but on that day I decided to extend 1 more day cuz the hotel environment is good and this is the best hotel I ever stayed in Siem Reap.
Staff is super friendly and helpful, especially one of the staff call Naza. She is very good service and caring too, is wonderful !!
Last but not least, the massage there is amazing so, I think is better than bxxxa.

The room:
Our room was wonderful. It was a huge duplex style bedroom with the biggest balcony I've ever seen. The balcony also had a super cute swing which I loved.
The shower was fine, but the shower head kept popping out of its fixture mid shower which was a bit annoying.
The TV in the room didn't work properly which I appreciate isn't the end of the world, but mildly frustrating.
Overall the room was good, but the decor is a bit tired for example, paint sloshed up the glass toilet door and rusty marks on the paintwork. There's clearly been some sort of leak on the balcony and this has left marks on the ceiling.
I loved the stairs up to the duplex...but they're narrow, steep and slippy and some people might struggle.
My final issue was that our coffee pods were never refreshed after our first coffee. Again, not the end of the world, but I do love making a coffee first thing.
Staff:
Wonderful, super helpful and so friendly. I cant fault them, they were all superb.
Breakfast:
A bit disappointing if I'm honest. You can have filter coffee which wasnt nice, but if you want a cappuccino or latte, you have to pay. Again, just not what I'd expect or have ever experienced at a 5* hotel before. However, good omelette.
Pool:
A few people have moaned about the pool but I loved it. Always really quiet, happy hour is a good addition and there's always a sunbed available. Again, it just looks a little tired in places.
Overall, we had a really nice time here and I would definitely stay again. I just felt that I need to mark a star off for a few niggly bits that bothered us slightly during our stay.
