Tara Angkor Hotel

First off, a very messy check in. At first, they gave us a room that was attached to another in a suite, so it didn’t have its own bathtub. We had to wait to get our room switched to a proper room, but then they also forgot to give us the coupon for breakfast (I paid for the free breakfast) and the guy checking us in didn’t know the WiFi password and THAT took forever as well. Also, as Cambodian-Americans, the staff had SUCH an attitude problem with us! They would talk about us in front of our faces, and would stare rudely whenever we passed by and rarely greeted us properly (proper Cambodians will greet you with their palms together). During breakfast - which I paid for in the package I got from Agoda - they wouldn’t clear out our dishes and would straight up ignore us. If you are a foreigner, you might have a better experience than we had, but just know that the staff at Tara looks down on their own people, and that should say enough about their work ethic. Additionally, they also gave us ripped robes and didn’t change our water or bath towels properly. I would suggest finding other lodgings, as there are plenty others in the area.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was extremely disappointed with my experience with the food. The food prices were extremely outrageous for the amount of food given. For starter a can of Coca-Cola were 2.5$. The pizzas were terrible-bland and tasteless. Burger was good, but the meat was clearly frozen. The gym was small, and humid AC was not working.
