Radisson Hotel Old Town Riga

I reached hotel around 12:30am.
Room provided was 201. Literally had bed bugs roaming around the bed the moment lights were switched off.
Went down to reception, she gave another room immediately.
Went to the second room, it was already been slept in and dirty. Like so dirty it smelled.
Came down to reception already 0200 am.
Reception lady is trying to help but there are no rooms with her to provide.
There was no room service to fix the room to sleep in. At around 0300am finally the reception lady herself cleaned the second room and provided the keys.
Had work at 8:30 in the morning. Woke up at 8:00 cause the cleaning service was inside the room while I was in bed. Apparently she was not informed that some was staying.

The apology was they give me free breakfast. But later told me that the whole stay is free. But I checked out and moved to another hotel.
Worst experience. Never expected this from Radisson.

There was 2 spiders inside the room, one could have been the Mom as it was huge.
You could also see a mark in the ceiling, someone must have smashed another one in the past (days, months?!).
We noticed them in the morning so I guess the room was theirs all night. Also, outside the windows were spider webs and you could not open the windows to have fresh air.

We changed the room, it is same room but one floor down. Again spider webs outside the windows and can't risk opening the windows.

The receptionist offered some champagne, none of us drink (just a decision, no religious related) or refer us to nearby places for breakfast. They offer breakfast at extra charge but at first they did not offer any. After we said that champagne was no good, and asked to get breakfast at the hotel instead, we were offered that. I'm sure it was only for our first day, as this happened today.

We will see about tomorrow.

Another thing: the toilet was small and the bowl is near the vanity is almost right in your face.

The restaurant service was good. That's why I have a three star combined

The air conditioning in the room is not working, and the staff doesn't react to complaints.
Cannot open windows in the room
The wellness area is too tiny. If more than 2 people come at the same time, they have to take turns using the only pool. The pool has dirt and hair floating in it.
No option for the late checkout.
The open terrace bar was closed.
The only good thing during my stay was service at the restaurant and lobby bar.

I've been a regular at the Radisson Old Town Riga for the past 1.5 years, but my last visit was a letdown. The room cleanliness was way below par: stained mugs and an uncleaned toilet – that's just not acceptable for a hotel of this caliber. Housekeeping is clearly dropping the ball, and it really ruins the overall experience.

I also need to talk about the breakfast. It used to be a highlight of staying here, but this time, the variety was lacking, and the quality of the food just wasn't up to snuff. This was both unexpected and disappointing.

I hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously and steps up their game in room cleanliness and breakfast variety. Thinking twice about coming back now.
